The Cozy Cottage (See VRBO# 457411) comes with a screened porch, living/kitchen area, full bath and bedroom that can sleep up to five—a wonderful space for honeymooners, couples or friends on a budget, or for the overflow of children and grandchildren.

Just a five-minute walk from the quiet and friendly settlement of Gregory Town (where guests can easily shop for essentials or hop over to Pam’s Island Made Gift Shop), the four-acre estate includes two homes, a 2,500-square-foot main house and a 700-square-foot cottage, both with A/C and Internet WiFi access. The main home includes two bedrooms that will sleep four (one king and one queen bed); one full bath; an enormous living room with a 30-foot ceiling, floor-to-ceiling book shelves and a conversation-piece giant bamboo couch; a renovated kitchen; den with satellite TV and VCR; and a wide veranda that looks out over the crystal clear, turquoise water of the cove. It’s the perfect perch for morning coffee, endless reading and sunset cocktails (try the local Sands beer) with friends.

Beautiful Longbight

Beautiful property with great snorkeling right onsite and lots to do and see close by. Mike and his family are lovely and it was so nice to have them with us for a few days when we first arrived. The cottage was great for us and Wendy was always available and quick to respond with any questions we had. Our first time to the Bahamas and we will definitely be back! Thank you to everyone who made our trip a memorable one!

Great kayak snorkel cove and big bedroom

We stayed over a week. Wendy (property manager) was amazing and even picked things up for us when we ran out! The host recommended a wonderful Taxi driver car rental, named Wallace, who picked us up at the airport and brought us to the rental. Turn key! We had brought our own snorkel and enjoyed the kayaks on property almost daily! Gregory town is a sweet little town with lots of small proprietors and very very kind people. We will be back! 5 STAR

Lovely little cottage in a lovely little cove

Really enjoyed the snorkeling and kayaking in the cove! Cottage nice and sufficient for a week-long vacation. Properly manager was AWESOME and readily available to communicate and come over to help out if needed. Would come back again! And would also come back to try out the awesome larger house should we get more people together in our party!

Honeymoon

We chose this place because we wanted our own little cabin by the sea, it was quiet and even though there is the main house at the front it felt very private. Some of the best snorkeling we did on the Island was right there. The garden is beautiful and you can walk into Gregory Town. Wendy was very friendly and helpful, welcoming us in, she made us feel at home and cared for. We loved our time here and hope to return!

Another AWESOME Visit!

This was our second visit to the property. Our first we stayed in the big house this time we stayed in the cottage and they are both great homes to stay in. The cottage is the perfect intimate place to stay for a couple or small family. Would recommend to everyone.. But afraid the island would lose it's charm with more tourist. Absolutely love this property!

Charming, well-appointed guest cottage on private sea-side estate

Cozy Cottage is located on a beautiful property overlooking the crystal clear sea. The comfortable living room and kitchen has full-size appliances. It is air-conditioned and has good Wi-Fi. The screen porch has a large picnic table and a view of the sea. It is great for a young family. The large bedroom has a big comfortable bed and bunks for two kids, plus a futon in the LR. Access to the sea through the rocky shore would be easier for younger, more agile guests. The best feature is Wendy, the Property Manage, who is very helpful and informative.

Wonderful little cottage for a small family

We picked Eleuthera for a Bahamas vacation because of its reputation for secluded beaches and lack of the resort atmosphere. The island delivered superbly on both accounts, though was much more rural than we expected ... but with a car rental, you'll have everything you need. The unofficial island slogan, "Eleuthera, it's not for everyone" was perfect. It's not for beach partyers and resort types - it's for fun family adventuring! (Among other things ...) On Eleuthera we were looking for a small house near the water for us and our 18-month-old. Most houses for rent were designed for larger families and priced as such, or they were just small units in apartment buildings somewhere. The small cottage at Longbight was exactly what we were looking for, and fairly well-suited for our wee little one too! There are basically two rooms: the kitchen/living room in front, then a bedroom in the back with a bunk and queen bed and a full bath. Also a great screened porch, though the bugs seemed to be on the prowl more than usual during our stay. The main house on Longbight has its own posting on here - it sleeps a large family and friends. The cove that the property is one is a rocky beach and offers some fantastic snorkeling, which we availed ourselves of every other day. For family beach time with the baby, a great sand beach is a short drive to the north - Gaulding Caye. We also like 10 Bays beach which is a bit of hike to the south. The host Mike has been coming here with his family since the 80's and was very accommodating. We hope to be back, and recommend Longbight highly for anyone looking for this kind of family trip!

We'll be back!

We had a wonderful time on our stay. We loved this place and will definitely be staying again. The property was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The owner, housekeeper, and caretaker were all very friendly and helpful. We loved being able to walk right out to the beach to relax, swim, snorkel, or watch the sunsets. It was also great to be able to walk to town everyday. See you next year!

Week of Paradise

My experience at Gregory Town was incredible. My girlfriend and I had stayed for a week and was perfect. It is a great place to get away from the hustle of everyday life. The property was clean, comfortable and had all the luxuries of home. The beach was great with excellent swimming and a close walk to town. The owner is a great person and made us feel very welcome during out stay. The kayaking and fishing was unbelievable. It was far better than I imagined. I know I will be back as soon as possible.
