Lighthouse View Beach Cottage-Great Ocean Views- the Redwoods are a short drive

Experience the sights and sounds of California’s North Coast from the comfort of our vacation home. Breathtaking views of the rugged coastline and Battery Point Lighthouse are enjoyed from the upstairs observation room & upstairs bedroom. The sounds of barking sea lions, crashing waves, soothing surf and fog horn will soothe and delight you.

Spaciously designed and comfortably furnished, our two story vacation home features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, a large combination kitchen/living area, two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, two bathrooms, and an observation room. A freestanding gas fireplace in the living room adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Conveniently located one-half block from easy beach access, a spiral stairway takes you to a picturesque beach to explore tide pools and beachcomb. Historic Battery Point Lighthouse, a few blocks away (from the beach or the street), is accessible during low tide and has tours available, giving you a rare glimpse into the daily operation and history of an active lighthouse.

The Lighthouse View Vacation Home is an ideal home base to explore California's North Coast, Redwood National and State Parks, the Smith River National Recreation Area, and other scenic wonders in this beautiful area. Or, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.

A Relaxing Stay
The entire home was clean and comfortable, having everything thing we might possibly need. We especially enjoyed the upstairs sun room with views of the lighthouse and tide pools. We would sit in the sun room with our morning coffee, or take a nap on the chase lounge, windows open, and the gentle, warm breeze brushing our face. We so enjoyed our time spent there!

Redwood Forest Trip
We visited Crescent City to experience the Redwood Forest at Jedediah State Park. This seaside getaway was perfect for us. So close to the state park, and walking distance to the beach, jetty’s and lighthouse. The best place to eat is also super close at Seaquake Brewery.

First off, Beth could not have been any easier to work with! Secondly, this place is the perfect location - walk to SeaQuake Brewing, Pebble Beach, Battery Point Lighthouse. Leisurely, enjoy you coffee while taking in ocean views. The property has everything you could need. Highly recommend!!

Steps from the beach and short drives to see the redwoods. The house had everything we needed and the room off the upstairs was the prize. When we came back to the house to relax that is where we went. Views of the ocean and lighthouse.

The Best Getaway
Everything was perfect. The house is so clean and tidy. The upstairs lookout is much fun with the great view of the lighthouse and the waves crashing on the rocks. The beach is so close. The whole house is well equipped with all you need especially in the kitchen. The owners were great with timely communications such as access and codes. We certainly would like to return.

Everything was good but the location so close to the beach, Battery Point lighthouse beach so close (take the tour!), and the sunroom upstairs with binoculars and an excellent view made this place a step above.Also, so close to the redwoods....

This listing is completely accurate in terms of proximity to the beach. The spiral staircase leading down to the rocky shore, tidal pools, and water is basically two houses away. It’s great. From there it’s an easy walk to the lighthouse, which was also nice. The place was clean and the bed was comfy! We enjoyed our stay.

15 minutes away from Jedediah Smith Redwoods, 30 minutes from the Oregano coastal beaches. House was spacious, clean and felt like home. Hated to leave! If we ever make it back to Northern California, only place we'd stay.

The home was well kept and exactly as listed. Beth and Clark were so lovely to chat with and very helpful recommending local restaurants and things to do. We especially appreciated the books on the local history and all the maps and pamphlets from the redwood parks and area attractions. If we ever make it back to the area, we would love to stay here again!
