Perfectly located with large front room windows with a view onto small piazza and towards the walls of lucca!. You can see out and also a j nice view of open sky. A few but spacious rooms with high ceilings, good sized shower, comfortable full length sofa (a rare find) and full length mirror in the entry hallway. In a lively location with wine bar below and socializing outdoors on warm summer nights.
I’ve stayed in many apartments in Lucca and this space is one of the more comfortable for 1 or 2 persons..
Great city, great apartment but it near party central
Really nice apartment. Good management. Our only gripe is that the square outside is very popular and the bars are open late. If you are into partying it is perfect but if you are on the wrong side of 60 you might find the noise a little annoying! But Lucca is awesome and we had a great time!
We were lucky enough to spend twelve nights in this apartment in October. It was everything we had hoped for and more.
The apartment has been thoughtfully renovated with a bright open living and kitchen area featuring two large windows. The bathroom is a good size with a great shower. A comfortable and quiet bedroom is in the back of the apartment. There is abundant storage as well as amenities like air conditioning, a washer and dryer, dishwasher, ironing board and iron, all of which allow for the guests to be self sufficient.
We thought the location was ideal, very close to Via Fillungo which made navigating the city very easy. It is also very close to one of the gates of the wall which we loved to walk. The small square below is very vibrant and always full of people in the evenings. For us, we found this added a feeling of security as we were never returning to an empty street at night. We felt safe at all times. We were also able to enjoy listening to the din of people enjoying themselves and feel part of it while we were relaxing inside. Because the bedroom is in the back we found it very quiet, especially with the shutters closed. There are two stores close by ,one right below, which sell necessities as well as lovely cheeses and deli items and a larger grocery store nearby. There is no shortage of wonderful restaurants within walking distance, including those recommended by Stephen.
We received excellent communication from the owner Stephen and property manager Flavia.
We really enjoyed our stay and would readily return to Lucca and to this apartment.
Lucca is amazing, and staying at this apartment was wonderful! It is a beautiful, comfortable place, organized with all we needed. We loved the location, right in the midst of the village. Thanks to Flavia! She was such a welcoming manager, and checked on us to be sure all was going well. It is our hope to return to Lucca and to once again stay in the Dalton apartment! Until then!!!!!
Stephen's property was ideal for our needs. It's a clean and modern space within the city walls and perfectly located for all activities within Lucca (which is a walking city). Also, it's only 10 minutes from the free car park outside the walls, which was useful for us. However, it's on the wrong side of town for the station, which might be a problem for some.
Inside it's got a great bathroom and a comfortable bed. The space is clean and modern and has all the essential amenities. Whilst the furniture is Ikea dominated, there are lovely architectural touches (I loved the magnetic door latches) which raise it above that standard.
Highly recommended!
I’ve stayed in Lucca many times and have had some lovely stays, but this one beat the lot for comfort, fittings, and anything I needed on my own.
It is situated at the end of probably the most lively street in Lucca and below is popular, frequented by the young Italians. However this was not a bother as the windows and shutters kept the apartment well insulated. During the day a really nice coffee shop over the road and a cheese and wine/vegetable/ delicatessen underneath. A few steps more and you are on the wall, for exercise
Lovely fitted kitchen and nice touch with brucellato loaf and wine. Bed very comfortable, and a bathroom I’d like to take home.
I shall certainly look to come back.
Large wonderfully appointed apt in great location in Lucca, filled with all those little extras (excellent lighting, fresh flowers, wine, sweets...) that make your stay so comfy you never want to leave. 3 nites just wasn't enough! There was a communication problem with the new manager that cost me but the host responded immediately and said he'd make good on it. Class act.
Our only issue was finding the apartment. A map showing all of the surrounding streets and businesses would be helpful. Our online map led us to the grocery store under the apartment, not to the front door, which was around the corner, and for someone completely new to the area, it was hard to find the street signs. But the apartment is lovely and Flavia was very helpful.
From booking to checkout, this was a great experience. The owner communicates promptly and his property manager met us at the apt. and was gracious. Parking is a bit costly if you park close to the apt. ($14 euro/day) but free parking is a 7 minute walk away. (The property manager told us about the free parking.) Everything was exactly as advertised inside the apt. It is comfortable and stylish. And the air conditioning was really appreciated on some hot days. We would like to stay there again.
All new and modern inside, great location, had a wonderful stay.

Spacious apartment on the main street in Lucca
This apartment is supplied with everything you need. There is a full kitchen including a wine opener and bathroom amenities including a hair dryer as well. Everything in the apartment is clean and updated. The location makes walking in Lucca easy. There are bike rentals within a 5 min walk and numerous restaurants, boutiques and a grocery store all within a 5-10 min walk from the apartment. This is a great place to stay and would definitely recommend this apartment.

The Apartment was absolutely incredible. Beautiful fixtures, and best location!
We cannot say more about how wonderful these accommodations are. Everything is actually better than described. The bed was incredible and the design and decor of the interior is terrific. Kitchen was inclusive of all of your needs. A Washer AND drier! Paola was extremely helpful in all of our needs. If you have a car, please understand that parking is at a premium and you may have to walk a bit. However, you can drop your bags off in front of the appt. We highly recommend this property. Thank you Stephen.

Love Lucca!!!
The minute we entered the walls of Lucca I fell in love! Then we got into Stephen's apartment and I was even more in love! The apartment is exactly as described and pictured but it feels so much bigger than described and pictured! The way the apartment is laid out it is very spacious. Paola was there to greet us and show us the apartment. She had texted me to see how many we were, a family of 3, so she had the couch made up as a bed for our daughter. We loved the shutters and the way they blocked out all the light, it made for great sleeping! The air conditioning worked great! And there were so many conveniences, especially the washer and dryer! Our first apartment, while lovely lacked a few things like kleenex and paper towels. Stephen had everything you could possibly need on hand. There was a great little Italian pod coffee maker that made delicious coffee and as a welcome there was a loaf of Lucca's famous Buccellato bread which we had read about and it was delicious. Lucca was everything I ever imagined a Tuscan town to be and I definitely want to go back. The food was incredible and the people were so friendly and hospitable! I told my husband it's where we need to settle one day!!! There was a free parking lot easy walking distance outside the walls and our rental car was perfectly safe there the whole 5 days we were there. The apartment is in a great spot within the walls. It's a lively space out in front of the door especially on a Fri night but once in the apartment with the shutters closed we didn't hear a thing. There were a couple of amazing bakeries right near us too. It's just a beautiful city, so much to explore! Stephen was easy to communicate with and provided us with alot of info prior to our trip. We will return to Lucca for sure! Thank you Stephen!

Great apartment in Lucca
My husband, daughter and I stayed three nights in this beautiful apartment. We loved it inside and out. The apartment had everything we needed, with the added touch of instructions for the new washer, dryer, DW, etc., all close at hand, which was so convenient. The view out the living room window across the piazza was always fun. The apartment owner and the agent were responsive and very helpful. It was a charming spot from which we were able to explore Lucca and the area.

Location, location, location
Stephen's apartment, ideal for a couple, is brilliantly located and thoughtfully renovated to provide a very comfortable home away from home for visitors to this fantastic old city. Open the shutters and through the spacious windows sit and watch Luccan life unfold in the piazza below.
Our hostess, Paola provided a warm welcome, basic provisions and ongoing support should it be needed. We recommend this property unreservedly.

Charming town, beautiful apartment, great AC, but internet trouble
Lucca is a charming town, lively but with an old fashioned Italian feel. There are numerous restaurants, cafe’s and bars and many people linger on the streets after dark when it cools down. Our visit was in August and most shops and restaurants close up from 2 to 3 and reopen again later. It was hot, but walking the ramparts early in the morning or in the evening is delightful. Lucca is centrally located and we took a day trip to Cinque Terre and spent a day in Florence. We were enchanted by Lucca the rest of our days. Parking can be tricky, but we just opted for indoor parking in Parcheggio Mazzini which was convenient and always available.
The apartment is wonderful—-luxurious bathroom, small, utilitarian kitchen, great sofa and huge TV for relaxing. The bed is very comfortable and the apartment is FULLY AIR CONDITIONED, which was a big deal when we were there. We travel extensively through Europe and some units will say they are air conditioned, but it may be only mini split in only one room which can get uncomfortable in the hotter months. This apartment has three mini splits, which was a godsend and we could turn on and off each room as needed. The apartment overlooks a piazza and in the evening, many people linger but it really quiets down by 11 or midnight on the weekends. We liked the atmosphere. Also, their is a public water fountain in the piazza (and many more in other piazzas throughout the town) and you will see locals all day filling up numerous bottles of water—-give it a try—it is very tasty water.
Unfortunately the internet was functional, but very, very slow and unusable often. We need high speed internet and although the owner and local property manager were very responsive to our problem, it was never resolved. The local property manager was very attentive and frustrated that the provider (Vodaphone) was not resolving the issue, but she continued to try to get the problem solved for us. We ended up having to purchase an additional high speed chip for our hot spot (from TIM) and we had to use that the entire visit. I would highly recommend Lucca and this lovely apartment, but be prepared for an internet alternative if you need high speed during your visit.

Fantastic accommodation and service in the heart of Lucca
We had a wonderful stay in Lucca at Stephen's apartment. The apartment is ultra modern with every amenity possible. Stephen was a fantastic person to deal with before and during our stay. Paola was also lovely, she greets you when you arrive is available if you need help during your stay. I traveled with my friend and her daughter. They stayed in the bedroom and I took the sofa couch. I was completely comfortable there, as if in my own bedroom, too. You can't have a better experience renting an apartment in Lucca! I should know, I have rented 2 previous apartments there! Do not hesitate to book this property.

Excellent compact appartment. Beautiful shower area. Locaton great for shopping and socialising
High quality accommodation in a vibrant busy area of Lucca. Any noise created by revellers stops around midnight. Not a huge issue. Everyone seems to be enjoying the atmosphere!
