We really enjoyed the place! It's very cute and in an awesome location. We loved watching the boaters go out while we ate breakfast. The one night we could see a sunset, it was beautiful!! There were a few downsides, but it wasn't enough to forego a 5-star review. Nothing was worth a call to the management company. They were just little inconveniences. The main door to the bathroom would not shut completely. The dishwasher was not seated properly, so it took some maneuvering to get it to close in order to run. There were not many drawers in which to place our belongings while we stayed. Overall, we would come back many times to stay in this rental. We loved walking the trails and just relaxing in this awesome getaway! Thanks for helping us have a great vacation!!
Beautiful cottage overlooking Mackerel cove on Bailey Island. Complete with gorgeous sunsets and relaxing sounds of waves hitting the shore. Convenient location to visiting nearby Brunswick and Bath downtowns. Many walking trails to choose from as well! Weather was absolutely spectacular which only enhanced our stay!!
We spent a wonderful week at the Nautical Nest on Bailey Island. The cozy cottage was clean, well equipped with everything needed, and the perfect setting for relaxing, hiking and enjoying the magnificent views. Hope to return again in the future!
Overall ,
Fantastic stay. Loved the location, the water proximity, seeing the lobster boats in front of us, the sunset , the calmness , etc…
And the kindness of owner/manager who gave us two lobsters to enjoy!
One thing though - mattress has reached its end of life!
We could be back !
Cheers
My husband and I just returned yesterday, The first thing is the location and the beautiful views , We enjoyed the big blue chairs , We have family up in the area , So we went boating on most days and we did a lot of cooking at my family’s house , Although we did do lobsters at the house outside , my brother brought a outside propane set up , The house is much to small to boil lobster and make a mess , The house was ok for two people , I couldn’t imagine 4 sleeping in the house . The owner we did meet and he was a super nice guy . The house could use some soft spots to sit on besides the love seat , The wooden rockers are tough on your back . This house is a great landing spot after adventures. , But not a spot to entertain to many . Just be aware they do have enough cooking stuff for two , We brought our own pans as I usually do this anyway . The house is very tiny but it makes up for it with the amazing views . Michelke K
We loved Bailey Island and the cottage. So cozy and decorated beautifully. My husband loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs and watching the cove activity all day long. Sunsets were our nightly event.
Oh My, this Nautical Nest house we stayed in was incredible. The photos of the location don't entirely capture the awesomeness of the site. We had a totally outstanding stay and loved Bailey Island. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.
Please remember, Bailey Island is an island in the North of Maine...
This was a great vacation for the two of us - very relaxing. We came there Memorial Day, and it was coollld the first half of the week we were there. This is not a 4 season house, so the provided little electric heater had all it could do to keep up with whatever room we were in.
We've stayed in this same property after Memorial Day and it was very comfortable.
NO MAJOR ISSUES and we were the first tenants this season, so clearly this place is well attended to.
The fact that we came back the next year is good testament to our feelings: This place is great.
Such an amazing place—Bailey Island! And what a spot, watching the boats come in and out of the harbor every day.
The house is sooo cute, just as pictured. What detail in the decor!!! Kept me enamored all week. Enjoyed the blue glasses. :) Loft is a great addition for an extra guest. We had the best time cooking our own lobsters and enjoying the fresh catch.
An amazing, relaxing and wonderful vacation!!! Maine is awesome.
Very close to the water, spectacular sunset views.
My only problem was that the furniture was arranged very oddly and did not take advantage. By moving things around, one could easily sleep two in the bottom bedroom, but with the bed jammed up against the wall, you really couldn't.
Similarly, the couch pointed the wrong way etc etc
So we happily moved things around for the week and then changed them back on the way out the door.
Most of the time, it was easy to cool the house by simply opening windows. However, there were a few days with still wind when having fans would have been nice, particularly in the loft.
The loft stairs are not for the faint of heart.
I have already recommended the place to others, but I have told them that they might want to bring a fan.

Immaculate, beautiful view and sunsets & more
We had a wonderful two-week vacation staying in Sea Scent on Bailey Island. The house was immaculate, and it was ready and waiting for us upon our arrival. The owner and manager could not have been nicer making sure we had everything. We are planning to return here again in 2018 for another memorable vacation.

Everything it was stated to be and more
We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Scent. The house was perfect in every way and we didn't need anything we could not find. Your Island Connection managed the stay perfectly, were very organized and made us feel welcome in many ways. We will definitely be back as soon as we can and look forward to working with everyone then. What a great experience.
