old mattress, stove and other debris blocking the bottom apartment. Upon entry, filthy! Maybe just the entrance, right? My daughter in law had already started wiping down the baseboards and handrails, being a former cleaner herself. As i walked up the stairs, i thought to myself, "is this leaning?" Got to the main floor, and it looked "OK", but as i looked closer, I was surprised to see how dirty it actually was. The return vents were caked in dust and what i would assume as mold. It was black and thick. OK, again. I am in construction, so I started scrutinizing the obvious things. Doors not closing, steps with a significant lean to one side, glass shower doors that would not open without a heavy hand, the list went on and on. Then i went out on the second floor deck. Rotting and broke metal furniture, doors that wouldn't seal when closed and a handrail that leaned so far out, it looked like it had been installed that wayway. It gets better. I was speaking with the tenents downstairs who had the same issues. In fact, they had sat on a piece of deck furniture and it collapsed under his 175 lb body weight. Suddenly, the entire deck starts swaying from side to side! My daughter was standing in the middle of it and was swaying. The deck was moving under a single persons weight!
I have so much more, but limited by app. Woke up with insect bites on legs. Owner agreed to refund, we moved out, and now owner refused to refund. Safety issues dont warrent a refund, apparently.
