Hacienda Paraíso in Flamingo is a stunning 6-bedroom, 6.5-bath beachfront mansion, just a few steps from the surf. One of only three homes right on the white-sand Flamingo Beach, Hacienda Paraiso is a palatial space where all bedrooms have private baths, TVs and their own Café Britt espresso machines, and all but one have private balconies.

The Space:
Brilliantly designed and professionally decorated, this immense structure features huge interior spaces with soaring cane ceilings, anchored by a central spiral staircase. And you could throw a rock into the ocean from the rear deck — underhand.

The three bedroom upstairs and one downstairs all have king beds, walk-in closets, huge private bathrooms and ocean views.

Big, furnished balconies look out on the crashing waves on the exclusive southern end of Flamingo Beach. The huge terrace downstairs features a private infinity pool, covered outdoor dining for eight, lots of patio furniture and a large barbecue.

The living room features a unique antique coffee table made of ship parts. The kitchen has black granite countertops, a giant refrigerator and a granite island with a six-burner stove, and the stone dining table seats eight.

There’s a two-car garage, a laundry room and maid’s quarters, and the house comes with a full-time maid and 24/7 security.

Fun and Adventure in Flamingo

Flamingo is one of the most exclusive beach towns in all of Costa Rica, and it’s currently building a world-class marina that will make it even better.

A natural wonder in every respect, Flamingo features two resort-rich peninsulas and two golden beaches, known as Potrero and Flamingo. It has a walkable, modern downtown with restaurants, shops and other attractions.

Located in the middle of Costa Rica’s Golden Coast, Flamingo is less than an hour from the international airport in Liberia. From here, it’s a short drive to a string of secluded beaches, and also to grocery stores, medical clinics, banks and gas stations.

You might find it hard to leave Hacienda del Arbol, but when you do you’ll find a limitless array of adventure to choose from. You can take a sunset and snorkeling cruise on the bathwater-warm ocean, or go fishing, diving or snorkeling. There are also great surfing beaches nearby.

A short distance away, you can also go ziplining, horseback riding, cycling, hiking or birdwatching, visit a wildlife rescue center or explore a volcano.

The Neighborhood:
Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo.
Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences.
A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Other major developments here include the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on top of the North Ridge, the Margaritaville Beach Resort, and the upscale Mar Vista housing development, where there’s an excellent private school called La Paz.
Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.
Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store.
Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta.

Getting Around:
Our agents will be happy to assist you with renting a car, giving you the freedom to explore the area where you want, when you want. For short drives to nearby towns or beaches, golf carts are another popular mode of transportation. You can also rent a bicycle to ride around in town or beyond.

We can arrange transfers to and from the airport. Rental cars can also be delivered to your property at no additional cost, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery as our private van drives you here from the airport.

Taxis are available but can be a bit hard to find. Many locals use buses to get around, though there are a limited number of routes and times of day when you can catch them. Private shuttles can be a great option for traveling to nearby destinations, and many tour companies offer transportation to and from the tour.
