Terrific place to stay! Site manager was great. Very comfortable spacious cabin. Talkeetna is a fun quaint town. If we come to Alaska again we will try to stay here.
This was a very nice and cozy place to stay in Talkeetna. Everything was as advertised, extremely clean, and comfortable. We will be happy to stay here again. Thank-you for the hospitality.
Our stay was great! The cabin is very nice and everything looks brand new! We were only here two nights but they were both perfect! Will definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to Alaska!

About the host
Hosted by Don Devore
Don Devore was one of the original Alaska 59ers who traveled by motorized wagon train to Alaska in 1959 to homestead in the rugged wilderness, five miles north of Talkeetna. Homesteading was tough but rewarding. Don's family learned self-reliance, and survived on the barest of necessities. Families and friends grew close, helping each other in hard times and sharing what they had.
