There are many wonderful VRBO properties in beautiful St. Marys. By now you probably have checked out the many vacation properties listed on the St. Marys VRBO site. Here are a few things that set our property apart from other local properties.

- Value – With 2 private bedrooms and a large family room, couples or families can vacation at a very affordable price.
- Pet Friendly – Dogs/pups are welcome. There is a one-time $25 fee per dog. . This excludes ADA Compliant Service Dogs. Two (2) dog limit. Please note only dogs are allowed (no cats or other pets).
- More Value - With a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill you can choose to “dine in” with your family and friends perhaps making your vacation more affordable.

The quaintness of historic downtown St. Marys surrounds you when you stay at Green House Cottage. The waterfront is only a few blocks away with a peaceful waterfront park. Restaurants and coffee shops are nearby as well. Enjoy walks down streets that date back to the 1700's. On Saturday mornings, stroll down to the waterfront between 9 AM and 1 PM and buy goodies at the outdoor market. On certain holidays, come enjoy local festival at its best. A ferry ride to beautiful Cumberland Island is both picturesque and educational. Tickets can be purchased at the waterfront. Be sure to make you reservations well before you arrive. And, if you are bringing your boat you will find two launching ramps nearby and ample on-site parking at Green House Cottage.

You will have the comforts of home right at your fingertips at Greenhouse Cottage. Roomy living area and kitchen are centrally located inside the Cottage, with two small/cozy bedrooms off to each side of the living area. Wireless internet, 46" HD TV and Blu Ray DVD,

Kitchen is well equipped with free-standing stove/microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. All your cooking needs are provided, including cookware, serve ware, dishes and flatware and a gas grill. Mr. Coffee maker and Kuerig and blender are also provided. Stackable washer/dryer.

The living area has comfortable seating with HD flat screen television. All floors are ceramic tiled. A bedroom located at the front of the house has two twin beds, while the back bedroom has a pillow top queen bed. The bathroom is equipped with a small apartment size shower only.
As you venture out the rear door to the Cottage, you will find an enclosed courtyard with deck and walkway. Enjoy your morning coffee while relaxing in the private outdoor area, or maybe a nice meal and a little sun as well. And, if your four-legged friend joins you he or she will enjoy a secure fully fenced environment.

Great launching spot for Cumberland Island
The location of this VRBO is wonderful, it is well equipped and quite comfortable. Downtown is a short walk away from most sites. The river is beautiful. The submarine museum was a hit. We really enjoyed exploring the vintage/antique shops in St. Mary's. We were in town during the April 12, 2025 Plein Air Paint Out. There were many talented artists painting.throughout the town and it was fun to watch them at work. We had hoped to spend a day on Cumberland Island, but could not get reservations on the day that we planned, so be sure to book in advance if you want to go to the island.

Doesn't match the online images. Queen mattress is shot. Bathroom was dirty. You have to climb up one foot to get iinto the shower. The vanity is dirty and should be replaced. There are no closets.

Great Location
We loved the Little Green Cottage. It was perfectly located within walking distance to everything. Tom was great to answer all our questions and provide ample information. The cottage is historic, as is most of St Mary’s. This adds to the charm. The master bed and the shower are a bit small if you are larger people, but we found it to be adequate for our needs. St Mary’s has some of the nicest people we have met any where! Can’t wait to return

Perfect location for exploring Cumberland Island
Cute and quaint cottage within walking distance to the small town of St Marys. It was a perfect base for our day trip to Cumberland Island and the hosts were excellent at communication regarding check in, how our stay was going and check out. Regarding, St Marys be sure to take the ferry to Cumberland Island. The horses and ruins make a fantastic backdrop to a pristine island. Our two favorite restaurants were Firefly Cantina and Southern Riverwalk.

Great little home in a charming neighborhood!
We recently stayed at the cottage with our two pups and had a very easy and enjoyable stay! The hosts Tom & Beverly were super nice and very helpful, they communicated with us regarding checking in the day before we left and make check out easy (no mile long cleaning list here!) There was a big storm on our last night that took out the whole neighborhoods power for a few hours - they checked in multiple times with time updates from the power company and made sure we had everything we needed. Very considerate! The location was great as well, walking distance to everything downtown, shops, restaurants, Cumberland ferry etc. We especially enjoyed Saturday night with live music on the riverfront and a seafood dinner at Locals Dockside, the town just has a safe and relaxed vibe overall! We would love to come back and stay again at this home, the dogs really enjoyed laying in the sunny yard and looking out of the little peepholes in the fence :) Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

Fabulous place to stay
The Green Cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood within an easy walk to the riverfront. Everything was provided for us in the cottage from laundry detergent to doggie bags! We prepared most of our meals at the cottage and there were many appliances, tools needed for cooking as well as foil to choose from! The owner Tom is a friendly and accommodating host. We had to alter our dates at the last minute and he handled everything for us. I highly recommend The Green Cottage! We will book again beyond a shadow of a doubt! Top notch all the way around! It was beautifully decorated for the 4th of July!

St. Mary's is such a lovely spot. The cottage was the prefect location to walk to town for everything..Dinner, drinks, and ice cream. The parking at the cottage was big enough for us to keep our 24' boat which was perfect because there were two very nice boat ramps within 3 mins of the house. Perfect location for a fun get away.

It was a perfect place for our stay in St Mary’s .. did a walk to the waterfront every morning with our fur baby. Everything we needed was provided, to include food and water bowl for our pup! Clean and comfy cottage! Check in and check out was so easy because of the communication with the owner, Tom. He was great!

Awesome Cottage
We loved the cottage and our stay was awesome. The cottage has everything you need from forks to dog bowls!! We loved the cute garden area that is fenced in it was awesome for my sister fur baby. The location of the cottage was wonderful it was close to the river and to shopping and restaurants. We definitely will be back again.

It is my pleasure to review this sweet property. Tom is a wonderful host. The property is clean, neat, well organized, and climate controlled. Everything we needed was available and Tom was reachable and responsive. The kitchen has everything needed plus many appliances and wifi works great. There is a private courtyard with a deck, chairs, umbrella, BBQ grill and bicycles. It is safe and private and so enjoyable to sit at. Thanks so much Tom, will definitely stay here our next visit.

Very nice place, loved being able to walk into town (about 10 min walk all the way to river). Very well stocked with all cooking utensils, appliances, etc. Tom provided us with 2 brand new bikes, could drive to town in 2-3 mins. Tom was very responsive, easy to contact, checked in with us every step of the way.

We think that one of the unique benefits is the large private gated courtyard. Simply, a place for you to relax and a safe and secure place if you have a four-legged friend that will be joining you.

Indeed we do consider pets. Our one time pet fee is $30.00 per pup. Pets are often not allowed at resorts of VRBO properties because of pet owners' disregard of rules. We are a pet owner who love to take our 'perfect dog, Clarky' with us on our travels. We allow dogs (Sorry, absolutely no cats as Owner has severe cat allergy) but require their owner to a adhere to a set of instructions to protect our property and thus allow other pet owners to enjoy their pets in our beautiful surroundings. When you send you initial inquiry, let us know the breed, age and weight of your dog please. Upon receipt of your inquiry, I will send Pet Instructions to you.
