We really enjoyed our stay at the boathouse - I hope to come back again! First a bit about Green Lake. The lake was great for swimming, kayaking, and boating. Water temp this June was about 72. The house is literally at the water's edge, so we were in and out of the water all day long. The house is about 5 minutes from town. We rented a pontoon, jet skis, SUP, and kayak from Sterling Marina. Sterling delivered the SUP and kayak to the house. The home owners were fantastic. They allowed us to check in early, were very friendly, and generously helped us when we had an issue with one of the kids. About the house: kitchen is very well equipped. As is typical of VRBO's the knives were pretty dull, but everything else was great. The fridge was completely bare, but there was salt, pepper, cooking oil, foil, plastic wrap, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, ice trays, trash bags, one roll of paper towels. There was also a starter supply of TP. King bed was firm and very comfortable. The house has only one air conditioner in the main space on the upper level, but this was sufficient given our weather. There were lots of fans. The house has a huge amount storage space. Wifi worked fine - we had trouble with video calls, but everything else was good. There is a nice flat area next to house to play with frisbee, etc. We enjoyed playing with the owners' dogs. Outside, there are 2 picnic tables, plus a gas and charcoal grill for your preference. Great shade tree. If you have room, consider bringing some firewood for the fire pit. If you are sensitive to light in the morning, maybe bring an eye cover. The curtains are not very light blocking. There were only 3 chairs and no table on the deck. If you are a larger group, maybe bring folding chairs.
