Perfect for fishing

This was perfect for us as we fished the San Juan for 4 days. If you want your rich uncle's fancy immaculate property, this ain't it. But if you want your cool uncle's place where you can kick your feet up and feel comfortable, this is it. I would 100% stay here again and am looking forward to it. Check in/out was completely painless and host was great to text with. Price was great. Kitchen was great. Lots of little things were great.

Difficut to describe

This is a very difficult to write. The best thing about this VRBO is that it is close to the Quality Waters on the San Juan. Otherwise finding no fire detectors or carbon monoxide detectors, and only combination storms on the windows were very disconcerting. We noticed the detectors when the first night we had to text the host for gas smell from the ancient stove. The handy man was sent out and it was explained as just being an old stove. He found the detector was defective and he would come back with another, he never did. There was only 1 drawer in the whole house that was empty. Every closet was packed full with no room for our luggage or coolers. Too many knick-knacks were covering every flat surface. 3 chairs at the table, Insufficient cutlery. But some of the utensils, f.ex. mixer had been put away dirty, only one 12 in X 16 in cupboard for our food. Lots of food left in the fridge. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. The main bed was terrible though. On the plus side, the bathrooms were clean.although we weren't sure if the rugs had been washed recently. Not up to the standards of our other VRBO stays. I know this is a work in progress, but there really should be some consideration of the needs of the guest if you are going to rent your home. This is the worst place we have ever rented and would not recommend to anyone.

Great location

If you’re looking for a 5 star resort, not your place. If you’re looking for a quiet “home base” for fishing or being at the lake, this is the spot. Reminded us of “grandma’s” house. Super quiet location, big front porch, convenient location to get to the quality waters and lake in minutes. Sportsman bar and grill is walking distance. It was clean, but lots of clutter outside. Not a big deal to us. Well stocked inside with everything we needed to eat our meals here. No cell service, but WiFi worked great. The four of us are planning on staying here again. Thanks Leslie!

Friendly neighbors

We loved the neighbors and neighborhood. Was relaxing but hot. No sofa to relax in or put your feet up. The A/C was only in the kitchen/Livingroom area. We had to pull the mattresses off the bunkbeds to sleep in the Livingroom the last night. Google maps sent us up the dam road and said our destination is on the right which was a drop off the Dam. After I punched in the road and not the street number it took us right there. The cafe next to the Sportsman bar did not serve lunch or dinner so we went to the marina where we got sun stroke. Otherwise, this place was awesome. Fully stocked. We did not complain or contact our host. Hopefully we cleaned up to their satisfaction and we do thank them for opening their home to us..

San Juan Fishing Trip Accommodations

It worked out fine for us since we spent most of our time fishing. A little warm in the house and was difficult to cool down. Thanks.

Perfect For Fishing San Juan

This was an affordable and roomy place to stay, which is close to the river, fly shops, etc. Several guys fishing together would love this location. It is an older mobile home with a large wooden deck outside, which is nice for getting boots and waders on/off. There are way too many knick knack collections and wall hangings, but it is kind of kitchy in a good way. Furnishing and bed linens are eclectic and worn, but, once again, fine for what I was needing.

I inherited this property from my parents and have so many fond memories out here since the 1980s. Unfortunately, my parents are no longer here to enjoy and I hope to allow my guests to enjoy, feel comfortable, and take home lots of memories as I have all these years.

What makes this property unique

Super close to many things: river, restaurants, shops, guides, gas station, and the lake! Super quiet. It's a great place to unwind and reconnect with God's creations!
