There is plenty of space for guests who are in town for special events, to rest, get ready, eat a meal (as there is a full kitchen, stocked with all the necessities), or for a perfect photography location, work or business,, etc. In the heart of downtown Stillwater, The Lift Bridge Loft combines the beauty of historic architecture with contemporary style, comfort, and convenience. Modern and welcoming furnishings will make you feel right at home, while enjoying the unsurpassed view of the St. Croix River Valley. Guests are only allowed on the pathway from the stairs to the entrance, and not allowed on any other part of the roof area, per our city ordinance. We do not allow parties or events. Perfect location!

Beautiful, spacious loft with an excellent location within walking distance to all downtown Stillwater has to offer. Parking was convenient and the Host is friendly with good communication.

Beautiful loft, Great location

We loved the beautiful, spacious loft with its large windows, exposed brick and stone and views of the river as well as downtown. The location is perfect for enjoying all that downtown Stillwater has to offer. The host is friendly, helpful and easy to get ahold of with any questions. I highly recommend!

Stillwater First

This was my husband and my first visit to Stillwater. Such a cute town and the property was perfect. Communication and check in with the property owner was timely and easy. The property was clean and just as pictured on the website. So easy to walk to so many shops, bars, and restaurants. We loved all the walking and biking options right out our door as well. We would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect Location

Couldn't have been happier with the location of this property. We were in town for a New Years Eve wedding and being on Main Street couldn't have made things easier. The place was HUGE and the beds are comfy. Will definitely be back if Stillwater is the destination.

Great location

Nice, well equipped property in the heart of downtown. Host was friendly and quick to respond to questions. Only note is access is via stairs /rooftop which may not be suitable for elderly, injured or disabled guests. One of the individuals in our party recently had knee surgery and the entry was a tad precarious. Also being this property is downtown, you’ll have street noise on busy nights. It did not bother us but may be a consideration for some. Overall positive experience and would recommend.

Not Worth It

Waited an hour to check-in. Construction right next door to the property makes access difficult. Owner double booked the room on the other popular rental website (sounds like square dnd) so I had no idea if they receive the check-in instructions and could at any point show up during my stay. Overall awful experience from an inexperienced host and owner.

Awesome Girls Weekend Stay!

We had a small girls weekend and it was such a blast! Shopping, eating and relaxing! Best part is this loft is right in the middle of all the fun! You can stop and take a break from shopping anytime and go back to the loft to take a nap. The loft is above the shops!! Soooo cool! Parking is annoying because it’s so busy downtown but if you don’t plan on coming and going... it’s not a problem! Just park and you can keep you vechile there all weekend (there are 3 hour parking limit signs but a parking permit is given at check in) best place ever! We will be back!

Honest Review

A few items I wish I had known. The loft is on the second floor with no elevator. The front door is located off of the back rooftop access with two flights of stairs. So be mindful of how much you pack or buy groceries. The loft was tidy in appearance but we did see dust/hair bunnies in the unit. There is a smell the apartment has but tolerable. The condo is very cold, we tried to adjust the thermostat but it was locked. On the beds there is a sheet and thin blanket, there are two throw blankets but we were still very cold. If you rent or have a car, even with a parking permit the parking is a nightmare. I would advise you to not have a car unless you are staying during the winter. Stillwater is very busy from spring-fall time and the parking, especially during the weekends.

This property is in the heart of Stillwater, walking distance to everything. And even has a view of the lift bridge and the St Croix River. Very large space and very comfortable for a couple.

Great location, loft was a small let down.

The location of this loft is top notch, great for walking around downtown and really right in thr middle of everything. The loft itself is mediocre. Being pet friendly I was surprised to see carpet, which to me, aged the loft and made it feel unclean. The loft didn't have the freshest smell as carpet is a smell trap, the kitchen appliances are quite old as well. The neighbors were very loud majority of the night/morning (till 2-3am), I understand this is not the loft owners fault- it just added more discomfort.

Mother-Daughter Girls Weekend

This VRBO is very unique! It had everything we needed to enjoy our GW. We could walk EVERYWHERE!! So many stores and restaurants to choose from. We were lucky enough to have this weekend booked during the Liftbridge Ribbin cutting ceremony for the city, and had a spectacular view from our rooftop of the fireworks that night. There is not of stairs, to get in and out of this VRBO. So if stairs are an issue for you, this place may not work well. Other than that, everything was fabulous! Plenty of towels, beds and pillows were very comfortable, temperature inside was ideal (and it was a hot weekend), and very spacious.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful loft. It is in a prime location, it has a beautiful history look and feel with the high ceiling and brick. It was a perfect place for us to get ready on our wedding day. The kitchen and bathroom could have been cleaner. There was left over frozen and exploded bottles of San Pellegrino in the freeze, the fridge drawers were sticky and unclean, the shower was a bit grimey, the pillows are very uncomfortable. Also I didn't get the code until asking how to check in about an hour before, not sure if that is common place for VRBO. I also like when a host had a small welcome basket with all the information, local suggestions and sometimes treats. We didn't even see the guest book and parking pass until we left . Overall, I would 100% stay here again if I was going to be staying in Stillwater and would recommend it to a friend.

Nice, clean residence in the heart of downtown Stillwater. My only beef was the limited cable TV offerings. Then again, we weren't there to watch television.
