Great place

A little piece of paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first stay in 114. Beautiful view, comfortable bed, indoor dining set was lovely. The two arm chairs have gotten soft in the seat cushions but otherwise the furniture was nice. We had hoped for a tv in the bedroom and a larger one in the living room. Not a dealbreaker but nicer when the weather isn’t great. We love to cook so we found the knives a little dull and could have used a cheese grater as we enjoy making pizza. We bought a couple pizza pans and left them in the unit. All said - a lovely place to stay. We’ll book again.

Amazing views at all hours of the day, but especially at Sunset. My kids would sit on the wall and watch the turtles, fish, and crab every day.Kayaking multiple times a day, depending on the wind and waves with almost no prep time. Great snorkeling and multiple reefs to view all of the different sealife.

The Kulakane after the Construction

We always wanted to stay in this unit as it sits on the corner with lots of windows looking out to sea. The unit could use some love-just a little tired. A weekend of scrubbing and some appliance upgrades would do the trick. Saying that, the unit’s location was worth it. We’ll be back!

Not ready to be a rental

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was dirty. Had to wash dishes before using them. Bedspread smelled. rug was ripped by screen door that dis slide correctly. and other slider and screen very hard to open. The drapes needed cleaning. The condiments in the pantry were all expired 6 months or more. The toilet ran every 10 minutes. I asked maintenance man to fix and he kept saying ok. Never happened. Kept us awake at night. I think we deserve a substantial refund

Always the best...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once again the beauty and charm of the Kulakane works its magic on our family. It's always tough to leave such a relaxing complex and environment. The location is perfect with lots of local food, entertainment and charm. The management team is fantastic. Debbie and Tony are the best. We chatted with Debbie daily and nightly and even made the Pupu party on Friday night. Our kids always look forward to the sunset ceremonies with Tony. The property was clean and well maintained. This was our second stay in unit 114, and this time we determined a few upgrades should be considered (carpet and sliding doors). Overall 114 delivered. We new what we were getting when we booked and it was nothing short of amazing. We'll be back as always to the Kulakane!

long over-due family reunion

Reviewer Comments: I reserved 3 units to accomadate my family for a practice 84th Birthday.Three people including 9 year old great grandson came from Idaho, 2 adults from Norfolk, VA, a granddaughter from Minneapolis, 5 people (including me) from Tacoma, WA and one from CA. My third son lives in Napili. He garnered a bunch of passes and special rate tickets for many adventures. They all gathered most evening in my condo because it has that huge living room and 2 lanais so we could feed everyone and play games. 114 has all kinds of entertaining equipment with 2 conch shells so we could participate in the evening sun salutes. Tony keeps the grounds as well as possible due to the damages from winter storms. Debbie is very helpful and super organized. The unit could use a very deep cleaning of carpet, window fitting, screens, fans, etc. The furniture is very comfortable and the unit is convenient to the barbecue area and the laundry room.

Kulakane Vacation Stay Review

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good. Better than average but below excellent. Great location, all the amenities we needed and close to shopping for the essentials. On the negative side, upon check in our condo was not as clean as we would have liked, a fair bit of construction going on around the complex created some noise & general disruption. Our biggest disappointment was the major damage that the surf created to the retaining wall and the danger it potentially represented. It completely prevented beach access, swimming, etc. which we had looked forward to. Incoming guests should be forewarned of this major setback before arrival!

Blissful Stay in Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were fortunate to be able to stay in this truly great unit for a week. We quickly learned that the condo is a very familiar place whith regular guests and visitors, taken care of by Debbie and Tommy. We enjoyed the easy atmosphere and the support received (questions, suggestions etc.) during our stay. The size was spacious for two people and we took advantage of the patio outside a lot. The beack access was nice, we were able to snorkel with clear water on one day during our stay, the other days the water was a bit foggy. The house reef is fun though and you really get to explore and see many sea creatures.

I am happy to be living in paradise and I live on the property that I manage. When guests book any of our condos, I will be here to greet you personally. I am a mother of 2, grandmother of 7 and Great grandmother of 2 and I adore my family! I encourage them to come see me as often as possible as they all live on the main land. What a place to come visit Grammie and Grandpa, right?

Why they chose this property

There are so many little shops and restaurants within walking distance of the condos. There are also food trucks just down the street from here across from the Times Supermarket, which is less than a mile from the condos. Guests go get their take out food and come back and eat on their lanai's and watch for turtles. Honokowai is a very nice little neighborhood between Ka'anapali and Kahana.

What makes this property unique

We are a small 42 condo complex directly ocean front. Every condo has the same amazing view. You can see Honu (sea turtles) in the surf out front every day and during the whale season, you can watch those play all day as well. We have a Pupu (appetizers, potluck style) party every Friday night at sunset. Hawaiian tradition is to blow the conch shells at sunset every evening to each point on the compass. We do that every evening. It's a very friendly homey kind of place that I think you'll love.
