Pros and Cons to this place
There are good things and not so good things about this place. I'll start with the cons because they can be deal breakers for some.
Cons:
1- The mobile data is spotty at best. If you are looking for a place where you can easily access your data, this is not the place for you.
2- The beds. These mattresses are old and very uncomfortable. If you have a bad back, these beds will not help. We ended up leaving the cottage early because of the quality of the beds. My husband actually put his back out.
The Pros
1- The location is great! the cottage is feet from the water and in a very quiet area.
2- The water was warm and clear. We were able to swim on a few different days. You can go in on one side where there is a little sandy beach, but there are a few weeds, but nothing much. on the other side, there is a slightly rockier side that you kind of have to climb down, but once in the water, the rocks turn to sand and there are very few weeds.
3- The Cottage itself: it is an older cottage. That being said, there is running water and kitchen and bathroom, so not that rustic.
Other points:
We were told to bring our bedding which I am totally fine with and is expected. When I have rented cottages before however, there are blankets available, but in this case there were none. Luckily it was not super cold that first night and we were able to go out and get a few blankets the next day.
Overall, if the mattresses were new, this would be a really good place, but in our case, because of back issues, sadly, we would not got back to this cottage.
