The house was clean and exactly as advertised. The views were amazing! We even had a chef visit us on our last night to cook for my family and I. The host was super sweet and helpful! The only thing I regret is not staying longer!
The home was wonderful very spacious and clean, Hari was very helpful and always available when we needed something, the views were just incredible and the home is very private. We had some Greek goodies upon arrival which was very sweet.
Thanks again wioletta

Exceptional villa in a stunning location
We visited in late July and had a fantastic holiday at Villa Gerrito. Located in a quiet and secluded spot overlooking the sea, the villa was stunning, with everything you could possibly wish for provided, including a well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and gas BBQ. As others have mentioned, the views from the numerous balconies are spectacular. The extensive gardens have plenty of shady spots and sun umbrellas to escape the sun if required. The pool is well maintained and ranges from 1.0m to 1.4m in depth. The best restaurant in Kefalas is Meterizi. Whilst it is possible to walk there from the villa, some visitors may struggle, particularly in the heat. It's about 1.2km from the villa, much of which is uphill. We would definitely recommend hiring a car if you stay here. The owner Hari was very welcoming and helpful during our stay. Overall, I think it would be difficult to find a better villa on the island of Crete. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Quiet and beautiful
We arrived late, but Hari care for us with a tasty welcome surprise.
This house is located in a very quiet surrounding, you can only hear the wind and sometimes the bells of the sheeps. The rooms are nice and we missed nothing. The well furniture livingroom with kitchen and the terrace on the top floor is large and have windows or doors to all sides. We felt well to sit there in the evening, but during the day it was great to be under the big sun umbrellas at the pool to enjoy the wonderful view. The garden is in progress, partial is it not really finished, but the most of it is done and looks very friendly (different to the pictures we saw before).
The rooms were really clean with linen and enough tools.
The way up to the village is not long but hard during the heat. We loved the village and the two bigger restaurants. There are a lot of small and very nice villages in this part of Crete.
We are sure, if we visite Crete again we try to stay in the same house.

Beautiful house! Amazing views!
We stayed in this beautiful Villa Gerrito, nestled in the town of Kefalas. The house is beautiful inside and out, everything you need from toasters and dishes, to bug spray. The views are spectacular of the Agean Sea, the mountains and the sunrises. It has a very nice pool and barbecue, very nicely landaped. Balconies every where for your enjoyment. I give this place 5 stars. Would recommend it and will be going back. We visited the Elafonisi Beach, the wood shop and many little villages. A great experience

Spacious and cute
We spent three nights in September here and had great communication and really enjoyed the house. We visited Balos Beach which was awesome and also the Samaria Gorge and this was a really good home base. There were a number of restaurants close by and markets as well. We used the clothes washer and kitchen and everything worked well. Great place and great price! Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by HARI PETRAKAKI
My name is Hari. I was born in Mozambique and have lived there for most of my life. I went to school in South Africa. I have been living on Crete for the past 20 years.
Why they chose this property
This plot was bought because of its unique location and unbelievable views of the sea. The house was built from scratch according to our wishes.
What makes this property unique
The top floor of the house consists of the communal areas - kitchen, living room and dining room. Wherever you are in the house, you can appreciate the views. There is also an "aloni" on the plot which is an old flour mill and which has now been fixed as a sitting area on the edge of the property at its highest point.
