A wonderful location for a trip of 5 women. We leveraged all of the amenities—yoga on the deck, swimming after our hikes, and fires by the pot to end the day.
We had three generations in the home. All enjoyed the stay. Kids loved the pool. Being on the “quiet” side of the island was a nice reprieve from the bustle of the east side. Loved being part of the woods.
The house was everything we wanted plus the indoor pool. It was perfect for our trip. We were able to easily prepare meals in the kitchen and had a great time swimming .
The home location was beautiful for a family vacation and the kids had a wonderful time swimming after long days of hiking. The home was overall nice but could use a bit more updating and landscape attention.
The property was brilliant but we couldn’t find the towels but did eventually in the tumble dryer and we couldn’t find the dishes and cutlery but again found them in the dishwasher. But the property and amenities were fantastic
We enjoyed our stay overall. The main floor is beautiful and looks receently remodeld. The upper floor is like stepping back in time several decades. It definitely could use an update, but it did not detract from our stay. The pool was nice to have, but ran colder than we expected. The owner did stop by to increase the temp, but it didn't stay above 78 most of our stay, so a little too cold for the adults in our group. The teenagers all enjoyed it. The highlight was the jetted tub. Its large enough to comfortably fit two adults and was awesome to relax in at the end of the day. Overall would recommend this place for a family.
We thoroughly enjoyed this house. It was in a quiet, rural area. The house and view were beautiful. We enjoyed the large beautiful indoor pool and hot tub. Perfect to sit outside on the large deck or enjoy a bon fire.
Great property. Grandkids & adults loved the pool! It was a relaxing & refreshing way to end each day after enjoying excursions in Acadia & Bar Harbor. The house was a perfect fit for our family of 11.
House was very nice and such a great stay. Kids loved the private pool, I did as well. Went for a ride around Acadia park and saw some beautiful scenery. Would stay again if we get the chance
We had an amazing stay at this house. The kitchen well appointed, bedrooms comfy, and the teens loved the indoor pool. Close to all the attractions of Acadia. We loved this house. Will definitely book again! Thank you!
Enjoyed the stay at this home, especially the swimming pool. Had all the conveniences needed for six seniors. Enjoyed the lobster restaurants in our area and the pretty scenery. Thanks again for a great stay.
We had a wonderful trip! This property is just as pictured and so large. There are plenty of beds and areas to hang out. The indoor pool is AMAZING for the kids. Just an all around fantastic property!
Nice big house . Room for everyone. Fire pit. Pool. Not far from Acadia National Park. Beautiful house. Bottom half remodel. It’s going to look really good when the rest gets done. Would come back !!
Great place…very clean. We had a bat in the house when we came home from hiking on the second night that we stayed there. Before we got it out (alive) I called Ricky and left a message that we have a bat in his house but no return message or call or text. Not that he could really do anything about it but I thought he should know.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The main floor is nicely renovated. The kitchen is spacious, but very limited in cooking/dining supplies and equipment. Ample fans for warmer weather. Many of the windows were difficult to open/close. The upstairs is also spacious, but quite dated, and could use some attention (ie ripped linens, missing window screens). The kids adored the pool! We loved the quiet of the home and the area.
This was one of the best homes we have stayed . The location is surrounded by prestine beautiful surroundings of wild nature. The walk to the home is amazing with a fire pit outside. The deck is spacious and beautiful that we could see stars. The home was clean, spacious and welcoming. We loved the indoor pool so much that the kids remember only the pool. I highly recommend this place for any big group traveling to Acadia. 30 min drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia national Park. Fantastic 5 star review.
We had an amazing time. The property was serene. Great place for kids with a huge yard to kick balls and play catch. Everything was close by and easy to get to.
The pool was cold for the adults, but the children didn’t care.
Overall an amazing place and very receptive host.
We LOVED this Vrbo! It was so homey and so calm. And cozy. It was well kept and clean. maybe some more diversity in pots and pans :) but we loved the pool and Jakuzzi, and all the cozy rooms! Already been bragging about this place :) 10/10
Quiet area with things to see and do. The pool was heated and very clean. A nice place overall. The kitchen needs better stocking as it does not have ample cookware, dish cloths, good silverware, sharp knives, and it has a small coffee pot.

Wooded Quietside Cottage
The property was not as advertised. It was not very clean, especially in the corners. The upstairs is rundown with second floor bath that has spongy floors in the shower. The "bunk bedroom" is the size of a jail cell with no ventilation since the windows in that room have no screen. The property does not have A/C which means it can be quite hot upstairs during July. The indoor pool area is very nice but you need to walk through a bedroom to access the pool room from the inside. We could see a lot of wildlife from the property, including wild turkeys.
