Great location

The yurts were really spacious and contained all the necessary kitchen appliances. There is a fire pit and a grill outside. The manager Mike is incredibly helpful and a great resource for anything you need. He goes out of his way to make your stay amazing. I'd give him 6 stars if I could ;)

Relaxing retreat

The yurt was great!! Perfect size and a large wrap around deck (Where we ate almost all of our meals) with table, chairs and grill. So quiet and peaceful during the week, felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. If you are planning on staying put to lounge, read, and take walks, it’s perfect. If you want to explore Giles county and surrounding areas, you’ll need to plan to be gone for the day as nothing is very close. There is a Walmart about 25 minutes away to stock up on groceries. Once you turn off the main road, it took about 15 minutes to get to the yurt. Even though daily travel time took longer than we expected, the scenery was absolutely beautiful making an hour trip only feel like 15 minutes. If you love waterfalls and hiking you MUST go to the Cascades. A two mile moderate hike up to The most beautiful waterfall I’ve ever seen. Wear comfortable shoes and a swimsuit so you can get in the swimming hole under the waterfall. The water is SO cold but SO refreshing!! Mike was an incredible host and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.

Love the yurt life!

The yurt was spacious and clean. We loved having a camp fire each night. Some issues with hot water but overall an enjoyable stay.

Great Stay

First time in a yurt and it was enjoyable. Minor problems with utilities but Mike and staff addressed quickly and we experienced no interruption to our overall experience.

Glamping in the mountains

The property is gorgeous. We are not campers but wanted to go off the beaten path for a different type of vacation. Our son goes to VA Tech and we stumbled across the Kairos website looking for an adventure near Blacksburg. We stayed in Yurt 1 which was clean, well stocked and very cool. We rented the X2 machines and had the time of our lives 4wheeling on the mountain. Everyone was very friendly. The ride up to the resort is extremely steep. No internet service and limited phone service (Verizon).

Phenomenal Secluded Getaway

What a fantastic trip for my family of four. We wanted to escape and unplug for a few days - and that is just what we did. Our yurt was amazing and comfortable. Mike, the manager of the property, was so hospitable and helpful. The trails were such an adventure (we rented a four person UTV from the resort as well) and we made lots of great memories. Mike suggested that we visit Cascade Falls - such a great hike to a very beautiful part of nature. This is a location we will definitely return to soon!

Great stay. Great staff. Beautiful part of the world. Hope to be back.

Only hitch was lack of WiFi. No other issues. Mike the manager was great to work with. Went out of his way to make our stay fun.

Fun “glamping” experience

Clean and comfortable. Getting in and out of the resort on curvy, rolling, dirt roads takes several minutes-Make sure you have what you need (food and drinks) with you before you arrive. The yurt was very well appointed and had was a fun place to stay.

Beautiful, secluded, place!

I stayed here with my husband and parents. The yurt was soo cozy and we really looked forward to coming “home” to it each night we were there. One of my favorite things about the yurt was the view from the wedding venue on the property, it overlooked the mountains and was absolutely beautiful! Mike was more than welcoming and made our check in/check out process extremely easy. Will return in the future, this place has so much potential!

Pictures do not do this place justice! Place had plenty of natural light, rustic charm and privacy!

I throughly enjoyed my stay in this yurt! John and the resort staff were accommodating through the entire reservation process. They even worked around our schedules to check in at a more leisurely time. We could not be more pleased with the reservation. The yurt itself was rustic, cozy and incredibly comforting. I left inquiring about reservations for the following week! I spent a majority of my time on the deck, which was very secluded and private, overlooking the tree line. Inside was just as beautiful. We had hot water and a full kitchen to include silverware, microwave, fridge, etc. This yurt could be easily occupied during the winter months with everything it has to offer. I recommend it to anyone looking for a “glamping” experience!! Don’t be turned off by the remote location. Take the beautiful drive and experience in person just how beautiful this complex is!
