Set on a private 9-acre estate with a river shoreline, Silver Heron House is 30 minutes from the North Shore’s white sand beaches and national park trails. It’s also close to world-class golf courses and is Canada Select approved.

Perched on York Point Cove, this vacation rental is perfect for families or romantic getaways. It features a river-view swimming pool with a deck and private cove beach access just a 3-minute walk away. Enjoy beachcombing, birdwatching (including Great Blue Herons, blue jays, and hummingbirds), and stunning views from the BBQ deck.

This unique two-story home is set on expansive grounds with gardens and located down a private, tree-lined lane. With cathedral ceiling and a full kitchen, it offers three bedrooms (2 on the main floor and a large master suite upstairs), two bathrooms, and a living room with a sandstone fireplace. Additional amenities include a BBQ area, poolside space for entertaining, indoor sauna, wireless internet, a Smart TV, and exterior security cameras. Perfect Peaceful Vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Silver Heron House. The house is located close to Charlottetown with just a short drive but is peaceful and quiet. We loved sitting outside under the pergola and swimming in the pool after a busy day of sightseeing.

Beautiful spot surrounded by nature

The secluded property offers privacy and quiet so the sights and sounds of nature can be enjoyed all day. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and well cared for. My stay was a perfect getaway to relax, swim, and enjoy nature (including at least ten species of birds). The heated pool was lovely!

The Silver Heron house was a perfect place to stay for our week exploring beautiful PEI. The house was clean, welcoming, comfortable and well appointed. The pool was great as we seemed to pick the hottest week of the summer to visit! We were sad to leave this beautiful home.

Amazing and cozy!

This fun and funky house feels like the kind of house you should stay in if you travel to Prince Edward Island. Comfy beds, a pool, a sauna, cool antiques and beautiful art. What more could you ask for?! Highly recommend. We asked to build a fire one night and they brought over all that we would need. So kind. Have fun!

A Solid Five Stars

We had a wonderful week at the Silver Heron House. We loved the unique style of the house, the size of the property and the privacy it offered. We brought our two dogs and I think they enjoyed the vacation as much as we did. The location is very rural yet close to everything we needed. We plan to go back in the future.

Great PEI stay

This was a great spot - very homey and comfortable. We enjoyed exploring PEI and then coming home to all enjoy a movie or play a board game. The pool was great too and the yard is beautiful with access to the ocean which we didn’t realize.

Nice quiet location close to Charlottetown. Beautiful grounds. We did take day trips everyday. Love this island. Bathrooms need updates but a very comfortable place yo stay. Our dogs loved it too.

Loved the location and the house and the yard and little beach area on the river/cove. I do think somewhere in the listing it says AC but I don't think there is AC? It was not an issue for us but it is a little confusing. Teenagers/young adults in family loved the property as well. Peaceful and relaxing spot!

Perfect oasis with charming backyard

We (5 adults and a dog), loved the silver heron. The kitchen was well equipped. We bought local seafood, fish and PEI potatoes and our chefs prepared two incredible dinners. The pool was perfect. We didn’t want to leave!

Silver Heron House

We stayed at Silver Heron House for a week in August 2024. We completely enjoyed our vacation. Silver Heron House is definitely a gem of a property. We felt totally private and yet close to anything we might need. The house and private pool were outstanding. The amenities and presentation were like an upscale hotel. The host and proiperty manager (Carolyn and Cory) took excellent care of us, and although they weren't needed during our week, we felt very secure knowing they were readily available for anything we may have needed. One small detail we personally appreciated was the extensive collection of original local art adorning the walls throughout the house. We would definitely return. Thanks Carolyn and Cynthia!

Another great vacation at Silver Heron

This is our second time at Silver Heron and it was great to return! A secluded property close to Charlottetown and lots of room and beach access on North River for families. Property as described and property manager very responsive. Lovely, well maintained pool and home. Kitchen well equipped. Highly recommended!

Paradise in PEI

This property had all it promised and more. The grounds are beautiful. The walk down to the beach with the view across the water to Charlottetown was wonderful. The cottage is comfortable and homey. The beds were very comfortable. We were supplied with plenty of towels for the refreshing pool. The gorgeous pergola provided shade and a true relaxing atmosphere We all loved it! Would love to go back!

My husband and I stayed at the Silver Heron Vacation House last summer and we had an absolutely wonderful time. It was very comfortable and we felt right at home. We loved that we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the cottage but were also just a quick drive away from downtown Charlottetown. We happened to be there for a concert on Victoria Row, which is a great pedestrian street with stores, restaurants and patios (I recommend visiting!). At the cottage we enjoyed waking up, going for a swim in the pool and having breakfast on the deck. Great spot for a summer vacation!

AMAZING PROPERTY - with fantastic service!

We've rented properties on PEI five times, but the Silver Heron House was far and away the best. The pool is perfect, but the cottage itself is very clean, and well-maintained and stocked. What isn't really evident in the pictures is how amazing the property is overall, with a beautiful outdoor area that has beach access as well- looking onto Charlottetown. The location is absolutely perfect, minutes from both Charlottetown and a Tim Hortons! The owners and their family that manage the property were so good. We had a strange mishap on day 1- where a squirrel blew the power transformer on the property (RIP Squirrel), but the owners were on the problem immediately and had it fixed by noon on a Sunday! Can't say enough good things about this property- it truly made our stay on the Island unforgettable. Will definitely be renting again.
