great ski/work trip
We stayed for 10days and combined working and skiing from the house. The layout of the house is great for this purpose as it has a separate office space and tv room to work from. Internet was spotless even for streaming multiple online meetings at the same time. The bathrooms can use an upgrade, but were clean. There is a lot of light in the house and great views. Kitchen was well equipped. Recommended for trip to Aspen Snowmass.

Good location but accessibility lacking
This home had plenty of space for 5 of us, with a 3 full beds and 2 pull out couches and a well-stocked kitchen. The property manager greeted us and was very responsive to our messages. Two complaints about this property are: 1) The driveway to this property is a hilly dirt road. We got stuck trying to leave one morning because it was all iced over, and had to call a towing company. Definitely recommend getting an AWD car with snow tires. 2) The cleanliness of the bathrooms weren’t great. There were stains in the toilet and on the floor. Overall, I probably wouldn’t rent this property again because we’re learning that while it’s more expensive staying closer to the ski lifts is a priority for our group.

Great location
The place is located in a very nice area. You need a car. Quick drives to Aspen, Carbondale, Basalt, Maroon Bells. The house has no air conditioning but since we did outings during, by the time we were back the temperatures were very nice. There is a nice patio with a view where we had breakfast in the morning and drinks in the eve. There was an issue with a funny smells coming from outside but owners took care of. Communication was great.

Beautiful home, magical out in the country setting
The house was perfect for one couple plus our amazing sister. Out in the country, and set on a wonderful piece of land, the property fulfilled our needs beautifully.

Scenic and Serene
The Shore House was a great property and location for our family gathering! This is the perfect place for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities with hiking, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing trails just minutes from the front door. There is a mountain view looking out the front of the house, and a small creek runs just a few feet below the large deck. The interior is spacious with an open kitchen and living room floor plan. The unique solar heating kept the interior warm and comfortable even on the coldest December evenings. The main highway is a few minutes drive from the house, which makes it very quiet and peaceful during the day and night. Easy access to the highway makes it convenient to take in the sights, towns and activities throughout the entire Roaring Fork Valley. This includes the stretch from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shore House and highly recommend the property to anyone considering a stay near Aspen.
