About this property

1860 Vermont home with modern amenities

Renovated home in the heart of Vermont. Conveniently located a mile from Norwich University, 40 minutes from Sugarbush, 40 minutes from Stowe, and 45 minutes from Burlington, this three bedroom home has all the warmth of a grand Vermont home with all the modern amenities.

Induction stove, double wall ovens, propane fireplace and Kohler bathroom fixtures will ensure that your stay is a comfortable one. This is an 1860 home so not all railings/guards are 42" and kitchen stairwell doesn't have a handrail (See photos for reference). There is a Ring doorbell that allows for remote assistance with deliveries as well as security when I am away from home.

Splendid Northfield Vermont House

This house is a gem. It’s fairly large, well situated just outside the main part of the town, and very comfortable.

Wonderful home in lovely setting

This is a magnificent property that is beautifully appointed, with an amazingly outfitted modern kitchen, large and comfortable living room (with gas fireplace) overlooking the Dog River, and 3 comfortable bedrooms. The location is excellent, on a hillside just steps away from the quaint town of Northfield, and very quiet and peaceful. We were fortunate to spend Christmas there and can highly recommend the home.

Fabulous house with excellent location!

This was our second time staying at this amazing home while visiting our son at Norwich. I wish I’d found it his freshman year! Ed is a very accommodating host and quick to respond with any information. The house is spotless, comfortable and a true historical beauty. You truly feel at home!

Delightful Vermont Experience

We were totally in love with this house. It is beautifully appointed, with every consideration for the ease and comfort of its occupants. The location is delightful, with a great porch overlooking Northfield. It was just a short walk to town, which was lovely. We highly recommend this house!

Ed was a great host and the house was perfect. Every amenity you could ask for! If you are looking for a property close to Norwich University, this is the best one around! We were traveling from across the country - Ed was super accommodating to answer all questions promptly. We will be staying at this property again! Thanks again Ed!
