Perfect, relaxing getaway

This beautiful farmhouse had everything we needed to celebrate my sister's bachelorette party. We never needed to leave the property (except to go tubing down the battenkill!) because there was so much to entertain our group at the farm. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location but house wasn't clean

This property is set in a beautiful location – on a quiet road and across the street from the Battenkill river. There are also broad lawns and a lovely pond. BUT, the house itself was not in great shape and not clean -- so much so that we cut our stay short. Among many issues, the basement/rec room was littered with dead and decaying mice - presumably from the poison traps all around both inside and outside; it may be that was the source of a musty smell. There was mold in bathrooms. There were many horse flies and ladybugs alive and dead throughout the house, including a ladybug colony under one of the bed pillows. Most concerning, however, were the mice droppings on the first and second floors, including on bedding. Also, notably, when the owner was notified of these issues, we never received a reply.

A wonderful place

The setting of Hidden Pond Farm is idyllic. The house is charming. The grounds are beautiful. The pond is delightful. My two year old granddaughter and seven year old nephew loved picking raspberries nearby. I highly recommend it.

The farm house was absolutely cozy and the surroundings stunning!

We had a wonderful time at Hidden Pond Farm. It was very relaxing and we got to enjoy the beauty of fall colors. The house is very well kept and comfortable. We enjoyed hiking around and got to see how maple syrup is extracted from maple trees!

Beautiful accommodations

Our family of 9 with 2 grandkids under 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Hidden Pond". The fall foliage, this home away from home, a wedding at West Mountain Inn did not disappoint. We enjoyed it all, from the hiking trails out back, to some time around the hidden pond, to the home and it's relaxing setting. Fran the owner was a pleasure to deal with. Should we have an opportunity to visit the area again, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great Stay

Stayed with a group of eleven friends from law school for a good friend's wedding in Arlington. The property is beautiful and the house itself is fantastic. If you're looking for a relaxing trip with your family or a group of friends, I definitely recommend this rental.

Lovely Spot

This farmhouse was the perfect spot for our Family Reunion this summer. My brother spent hours fishing on the Battenkill, many family members went hiking on the property and nearby trails, and all of us loved the on-site pond, just a short walk from the back porch. As we left, we were making plans to come back again next year!

Great Experience

I stayed at Hidden Pond Farm with a group of college friends in mid-May. The property and home are simply incredible. The scenery can't be beat. If you're looking for a relaxing VT getaway, I strongly recommend this rental.

Moonlight In Vermont

The perfect New England getaway. From the moment my extended family group of 11, ranging from 11 to 76 year of age arrived at Hidden Pond Farm, we knew we found what we were looking for. The full moon shining on the freshly fallen snow over the mountaintop. My 15 year old son summed up it best after running up the hillside, this is the most beautiful spot I've ever been. This beautiful antique white clapboard home is perfectly set with a red barn and mountain views. The inside of the home is beautifully renovated, the perfect marriage of old and new. It is very well designed with a wonderful large dining room table that fit everyone perfect, gorgeous renovated kitchen with top of the line appliances, great large playroom allowed the kids to hangout while the adults had a cozy living room to themselves. I cannot say enough about this wonderful home that offers so much more than the cookie cutter ski condo or resort home. Arlington was the real deal with romantic restaurants and a fantastic "Real General Store". We cannot wait to go back and look forward to seeing this peaceful spot in the greens of summer. The owner, Fran, was extremely helpful and couldn't have been nicer to deal with. We've rented many vacation rentals and this house was a step above all the rest. LOVE HIDDEN POND FARM!!!

Hidden Pond Farm

I spent MLK weekend at the "Farm" with my son, my brother and his three boys. We had a terrific time skiing at Stratton, hiking the trails on the Farm's property up the mountain in the back and sledding in the backyard. The house couldn't have been more enjoyable, with plenty of room to spare. The pool table, ping-pong table and indoor putting green got much use. Convenient to New York and the Manchester shops - we really couldn't ask for a better weekend. Can't wait to return.
