"The Stone House at Treetops" is a beautiful place for a family vacation or a romantic get-away. Three bedrooms, one on the first floor w/ a double bed w/ bathroom & shower. Two bedrooms on the second floor, one w/ queen bed, one w/ twin beds. A bathroom w/ tub is between them. New washer and dryer in basement. If you're looking for an historic spot for a quiet retreat and a beach on the best part of Newfound Lake, THIS place is for you. Your children will love it also. It's a real gem!
Thomas A. Watson, the co-inventor of the telephone, made it a summer residence as did Milton C. Winternitz, a renowned dean of Yale Medical School. John Cheever, the gifted novelist and short story writer, was a frequent visitor. Home was designed by a prominent architect in the early twentieth century.
