After a bit of elbow grease (cleaning) and shopping (to replace and add kitchen items) on my part, I ended up enjoying my stay at Fernando’s apartment very much. The private balcony with view, and the rooftop pool and patio were the best parts. And Fernando was a fantastic host - very quick to respond to my concerns, questions, and requests. Be aware the building is quite noisy - not at all soundproof - sound comes from beside (family with children), above tenants, as well as tenants below. There are also many barking dogs, but are quieted by owners fairly quickly. The apartment itself was spacious for me as a single, certainly for two people, but a third would probably not work. It is in desperate need of a refresh (paint, bathroom ceiling and tub tiles/grout, upholstery) but the bed is comfortable.
The neighbourhood is wonderful - very walkable, safe, fun. If you temper your expectations, this property is a gem, and has tremendous potential. I really do hope to return at some point, though I do hope a refresh will have taken place😃.
