We enjoyed our stay. The location was close to family. The landscape was beautiful and I enjoyed reading in the morning on the patio. My grandson loved seeing the cows and chickens.
We were only in town for one night to meet my new niece. The stay was clean and comfortable and the breakfast options were nice. Bonus points for the walk in shower as one of my party had mobility issues. Hopefully one day we'll be back to enjoy the area.
This little place was just perfect for us ! We loved everything about it and the surrounding area! Plenty of things to do and plenty of little places to stop or to get something to eat! The place was very private and peaceful! Mantua is beautiful and the surrounding area is quite unique there loved it!
My daughter and I stayed at the rental while in the area for some family get togethers. The location was perfect for our needs. It was easy to access with plenty of parking. The kitchen was easy to cook in with plenty of plates and dishes.
The second bedroom is very small. We made it work, but much better suited for a child than an adult. Mantua is a cute country town and it is just down the road.
Great rental stay and Molly was a wonderful host. This apartment was well stocked with kitchen items like garbage bags, soaps, coffee, filters, etc. Bathroom soaps nice addition and the apartment was sweet and very nice. We plan to come again when visiting family.
This was our second visit here. The space is quiet, clean and just what we need for our weekend visiting family and attending a course. Molly provides some small extra special touches too. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay even though the weather was horrible. We loved the seeing the highland cows out back every day. The only thing I would change is to possibly upgrade the beds or at least add a memory foam topper.
My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs. Molly has great communication and the people that live on the property were super friendly. It was very clean and quiet. It’s a beautiful property too. We plan to come back in the fall. Thank you!
We loved the guest house. Our host was very attentive to our needs (adjusting the AC) and kept in touch through our entire stay. Sadly, the animals had been moved to another location due to a fair, but our host gave us every opportunity to visit. Be certain to visit the garden and the beautiful local scenery.
This is our third time at the property and would happily book again. Molly always provides a few extra items that make the stay more special. Molly is very responsive; quickly resolving an issue with access to the property caused by winter storm Elliot's sub-freezing temperatures. Inside, we were nice and warm as we watched the snow fall!.
You couldn’t ask for a more welcoming host than Molly! The Guesthouse was clean and there was a half-dozen fresh eggs waiting for us in the fridge.
She’s very pro-active with information. We rented on short notice and Molly was very quick to respond to our questions.
A lovely, discrete property, unbelievably close to Cleveland.
My small party only stayed the night before the recent solar eclipse. Eric, the primogenitor of this farm, is a man who's stewardship is something to behold. Count yourself lucky should you have a chance to chat.
Fresh eggs and bread were simply the frosting on the cake.
I felt very fortunate to find this unexpected gem.
Highly Recommended.
#2 bedroom was more like a closet,Not for older adult. Master bedroom was excellent BUT the heat pump was right outside the window and ran
24 seven . Didnot get to set outside on patio too many plants that attratced many bees.place was clean and well equipted. Would have liked hotterwater. but on main truck route 44 lots of road noise loved the fresh vegies
This is an ideal place in a country setting and very easy to find.. We had two stops in the area one in Cleveland and one at the Blossom Music Center. This place is equidistant between the two. located a mile out of Mantua, OH,
The Place is not large but enough for four people. The Beds/couch are comfy. The bonus is it is located on a farm like setting. with beautiful gardens both flower and vegetables which you are allowed to pick! As a welcoming bonus was the farm fresh eggs. The animals are entertaining with chickens, Guinea Fowl, Scottish Cows Cats, and Nixie the dog,who checks in with everyone daily.
Molly, the curator of the Vrbo is excellent in communication and seems available at a moments notice if you need anything.
Definitely would stay again if our Journey ever takes us to the Cuyahoga Falls area again. 5 stars for sure!
This is a wonderful little place that worked just right for myself, my wife, and 13 year old son. My son had a space to himself in the small bedroom, which made him happy as did the good WIFI.
Everything was in as good or better condition as shown on VRBO. The place was clean, neat, and updated. As others have noted, all the conveniences you need for a short stay are provided such as plates, cups, kitchen and bathroom towels, and also included a nice surprise of fresh baked banana bread and various breakfast items.
We made friends with a resident farm cat, a very friendly big dog, and some shaggy cattle.
Mantua is cool little town, don't hesitate to try Jake's or the sub place if you are hungry. I talked to owner of the sub place as I was picking up an order, and he's expanding into an old building in town and will feature a full menu with wood fired steaks. The new restaurant is slated to open in June if memory serves.
There is also an interesting pharmacy a short distance to the South that has an eclectic mix of gifts and necessities. It's worth a stop if you enjoy browsing.
The apartment and town are within reasonable distance of Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, Garrettsville, and a whole bunch of other towns that offer lots of dining options and spots of interest. Cleveland is not far away either if you feel the need to be in a large city.
I lived in Cuyahoga Falls for a couple years in the mid '90s and had forgotten how interesting and different the landscape is in Northeastern Ohio. There are lots of hills, valleys, twisting roads, cool old houses, and horse farms to be found. I recommend taking the scenic route and enjoying the sights whatever your destination might be, although plan a few extra minutes as there didn't seem to be a straight path to anywhere we wanted to go :).
Overall we were very happy with the stay and highly recommend it.
Cute little farm in the country. Quiet and safe, perfect for a small family. Our little guy was so excited about the long haired cows, and he was convinced that they were Yak's! So I have not corrected him when he has told his preschool class that he slept on a Yak Farm :)
Not only was this property set in a beautiful location, Molly is an incredible host. She thought of everything (and more) to make our stay worry-free. We can't wait to come back during the summer and see all of the animals again!
Very nice place with everything we needed for our 4 day stay. The place was very quiet. The patio was adorable overlooking the backyard with a garden and friendly Scottish highland cow with a baby. She would come running to the fence when ever we walked out.

About the host

We are world travelers that use home rentals all over the world. This space is located on my family farm that I grew up on and my father still lives. It's a relaxing, calm space that has 2 permanent tenants -- one a nun and the other helps us around the farm. We love our little slice of NE Ohio heaven and are happy to share our gardens, animals and knowledge of the surrounding area.
Why they chose this property
It was originally the office for my father's construction company and we renovated it into a triplex. We have 2 full time tenants-- a nun and a farm helper. We always used this apartment for our guesthouse and are happy to open in up other guests!
What makes this property unique
You get to see a slice of northeastern Ohio farmland and enjoy the beautiful gardens.
