The house was stocked with everything a family of six needed! We loved the location of the property and the privacy of this lake! The water was never too busy for our grandson to jet ski and tube. This house is a great place to stay.
Very clean cabin. Really amazing amenities! Was able to get away with some friends and enjoy our long weekend at the lake. We had great weather, luckily, and great food! Was nice to feel close to a town but also in a private area.
We had a great time here. We stayed with our son and then our best friends and their kids. The layout was SO perfect for our group. Each family kind of had a wing for bedrooms and with small kids and nap time that was absolutely perfect so we could all enjoy the trip!
The spot was comfortable and stocked with everything we could have needed. One bummer was that the beach wasn’t as large, but the dock was great for our boat! It rained and got pretty buggy while we were there but someone came to cut the grass and that helped with the bugs. Would definitely stay again!! Thank you!!
The property was actually nice than the listing.
Pros: quiet, nice beach, great fishing, great home layout, well equipped kitchen, plenty of yard space, nice bathrooms, good wifi, plenty of bedding, view, loons...
Cons: water not very tasty, no good place to clean fish, no screened area, could use a card table to set up puzzles and games.
The cons are very minor, I'm just being complete.
This was the first place we've rented for family up north vacation that everyone agreed we want to return to.
House was nicer than we expected as in the past I’ve had experiences where pictures are misleading. Host very responsive. We rented a pontoon boat that got delivered to our lake we stayed on from Lake Fun Rentals that really made the trip and was perfect to park right at the dock. Lake is pretty small (would swim across it for a work out as it’s always calm and clean), picturesque (has an eagles nest you can paddle to by the beaver dam), and never busy so not a lot of boat traffic which was perfect for fishing, tubing, skiing, and canoeing with the kids. Stayed there with my family of 7 and had plenty of room, only I’d plan to stagger showers if you have more than 3 or 4 people getting ready at once or you might run out of hot water. I wish they could spray for mosquitoes too as once the sun went down they got pretty bad but I guess that’s Minnesota for you! I’d recommend staying here and would do it again.
The house was clean, updated and very spacious. The location near the lake was great so we could take advantage of swimming anytime we wanted. We left the boat docked all week and the kids caught their first fish! The kids had so much fun having their own bunk room and playing with the board games there. It was close to town to explore Nisswa and Pequot Lakes easily and close to the stables of Pine River for horseback riding.
I would stay here again!
We chose this VRBO because of its privacy and immediate access to the water. It did not disappoint!!! This cabin is spacious, calming, and stocked with everything you could need. We felt right at home! We enjoyed the private dock, beautiful breeze, singing loons, and fishing!! It was very clean and inviting!! Up north brings bugs and critters…. If you plan to manage them, you will not have a complaint!! We would definitely stay here again!!! I would give it a 4.5…!!!!!
Great location, property was very clean. Plenty of room to spread out, lake is really clear great for swimming. Great location to town. I’d highly recommend.
Girls' weekend, not crazy cuz we're old(ish), but this was the perfect set up, plenty of rooms, showers and outdoor space for us to relax and catch up with dear firends!
Clean! Easy to find and close to Nisswa and Pequot Lakes.
We enjoyed the place but were disappointed that the dock was out (this was not mentioned in the ad) and the fireplace did not work (the gas was turned off; pilot light was out). Owner expected us to turn it on. Owner did send a worker to correct this but worker could not get the fireplace to work.
Stay here with a group of guys for a golf weekend. Right next to breezy, easy drive to other courses, house was in great shape and tucked away in a perfect spot. Would recommend!
Perfect fishing and water sport lake, backyard is perfect for games, house is spacious and has many little extras ! Our family of 7 had an amazing week!! Wonderful location to shopping and restaurants on a rainy day too!!
Our family had a wonderful stay at this location. There are many things to do (mini golf, golf, shopping) and excellent restaurants all within a short to moderate drive. The neighbors were so friendly and helpful! It was wonderful to be with family at the lake! Thank you!
Such a great cabin! Beautiful scenery and spacious. The property owners were great to work with and very responsive. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin!
Nice getaway, no better place than the Lake during a MN summer
Cabin was as described, nice, clean and fully stocked. Only thing missing was beach towels. Beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. So many beautiful lakes in the area. Only reason we gave it 4 stars is the lake is actually small, only 271 acres.
The lake cabin has plenty of room for people to get away from each other and do things privately when they want to. And some great gathering spaces where everybody can get together. The fully equipped kitchen and the outside grill were outstanding for our family.
Six of us stayed aging from 64-97. We had a great time wading in the water, swimming and kayaking. The back deck was a perfect place to watch the water and wildlife. Saw ducks, a resident loon and an eagle. Gorgeous.

I grew up coming to this lake. We bought this property to stay in while visiting family and are excited to share it with others when we are not in MN.
Why they chose this property
The property used to be part of Pine Rocks Resort and my family has been coming here for 60 years.
What makes this property unique
Little Pelican is a quiet lake that is great for a family vacation, reunion, romantic getaway, or just to get away from it all. The water is shallow so relatively safe for small children. The lake hosts 2 loon families, bald eagles, beavers, herons, and even a golden eagle!
