Romantic luxury carriage house on E Hall street, 3 blocks from Forsyth Park and the Mansion Hotel's Poseidon Day Spa, one block from the only major grocery store downtown and inside the borders of the official 'Historic District' sought after by visitors. This listing has access to a fabulous courtyard with outdoor fireplace! This little hideaway is a secure and private house ideal for 2 people but allows up to 4 max with pullout sofa (recommended for 2 kids or teens, or 1 small adult). Parking is free and easy on the street at this property. This block has no meters and is non-competitive. Upper Level. Not suitable for anyone who has trouble with stairs.

North Savannah

We spent 3 nights, apartment was quiet but a liitle out of the way. It is 2nd floor, over a garage. 4 blocks to Forsyth Park, 5 blocks to the trolley which stops running 7pm, 1 mile walk to restaraunts and shopping. We had to move the car for street sweeping but not a problem parking on the other side for 1 night. It was very clean. There is a full kitchen and laundry however we used neither. We ate at Vic's On The River; Little Duck Diner; Vinnie Van GoGo pizza; Crystal Beer Parlor; and towards Tybee Island at Wiley Championship BBQ....all great.

An overnight stay on our way to family in Florida. We could not imagine a better place to stay. We love Savannah and next year we hope to spend 2 or 3 nights here.

Exactly as listed

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cute apartment in the Carriage House. It was exactly as pictured and listed. Cozy and comfortable with everything we needed. The close proximity to Kroger (grocery store) and Mate Factor coffee shop were extra convenience bonuses. We were able to walk all over Historic Savannah from this comfy hub and relax for quiet evenings. I also enjoyed soaking up some sun in the quaint courtyard. We did have two days of frustrating, weather related travel delays and are hopeful that travel insurance covers the non refundable days we had already paid for.

Great location

The location of this property made you feel right at home. The small neighborhood bakery/restaurant ( Mate Factor), Kroger’s grocery store & Forsyth Park are within blocks away. It’s a 25 minute walk to historic east River street with many great restaurants overlooking the River. The parking on the street was nice to have. Loved visiting Savannah!!

Vacation in Savannah

The location of this cottage is wonderful! We were able to walk everywhere! There is a coffee shop four houses away that has homemade breads and pastries. Kroger’s is a block away to pick up any supplies. Forsyth Park three blocks away with an amazing restaurant there! We enjoyed the time and will be back.

Snowy Savannah!

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend in Savannah just after they got around 5 inches of snow!! The first day we were there things were still closed and the roads weren’t great so we enjoyed a relaxing day in the apartment. Kroger is close is was very easy to get groceries and enjoy an indoor day. The next day we walked to River Street. It really isn’t a bad walk, and we had a great day! We would definitely stay there again!!!

Nice place, but....

Very clean and nice place but I don't believe it's what I actually booked. That may have been an error on my part, but this was not what I wanted. I stayed one night but moved to a hotel for the next two nights. I did not feel safe in the neighborhood at all. When in the "locked" position, the main gate can still be opened. Doesn't matter if you "locked" it. The front door to my unit had what is best described as half door/half window. Anyone could have broken the glass and unlocked the door. Very little lighting in the area and I would not have gone out after dark. Unfortunately, this time of year it gets dark around 5 pm :(

1st Visit to Savannah

We enjoyed our stay very much. The Location is excellent and within walking distance to many stores and parks. We enjoyed the River Boat Cruise & Our Carriage Tour, and we had several Very Nice Dinners. The Cottage is very Cozy and well stocked. First Impressions are important to us and the entrance and patio was very lacking in charm and up keep. Needs sprucing up.. Our only negatives with the cottage would be the Wi-Fi/TV was very spotty and the Shower is very low pressure and could use some improvement.. Thank you for our stay there.. The Johnsons

Great location

We loved this location since it was right on the perimeter of the historic district and within walking distance to River Street. The apartment was clean and in a quiet area and just right for 2 people. There’s a grocery store very close and a bakery right on the corner. All within walking distance. The only place we drove was to Tybee Island which is a must. We enjoyed climbing to the top of the lighthouse
