Perfect fit for a Denver trip

The property is exactly what it claims to be - a quaint apartment in a trendy neighborhood that is close to everything your want. You can catch a bus just a couple blocks away that will take you downtown Denver or simply walk down 17th and check out the nice bars and restaurants that line the street. There are plenty of great places to eat and drink nearby too. Blocks from City Park which is great area to view the city, the zoo, and just a nice walk. The owner left us a nice list of recommendations that were very helpful in navigating the area. The apartment is small but great for a traveling couple. The bathroom is super tiny and tough to navigate - use at your peril :) but overall it's completely workable and a value for the price - and the bed is very comfy. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

The First

Because we were the first renters, there were a couple of glitches that had to be worked out (confusing directions mainly). The apartment is as advertised--charming, tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed and outstanding linens. The porch is a real plus. Because it is light and airy, the small studio is not claustrophobic. There is about a 6" step up into the very small bathroom which might prove awkward for some. This was perfect for us as we were visiting family: we were not preparing meals and were out and about. We could have breakfast and coffee on the porch, slept well, and enjoyed the charm and location. We would return.

Great property! Great location!

My husband and I stayed for a 10 days business trip. The property is quaint, clean, quiet and homey. VRBO beats a hotel stay and we will definitely stay again next year. As advertised - the bathroom is REALLY small.

Cozy, quaint suite in historic house

My stay in the miniature suite was wonderful. My husband was a patient in a nearby hospital and the combination of convenient location (only 5 blocks away!) and cozy atmosphere really made things easier for me as caretaker. Not only is the suite adorable, but the owners have taken a lot of steps to make things easy for guests. The bedding and towels were soft and high quality, the shampoo and soap were particularly nice, and the decor was understated but lovely. The suite even smelled fresh and clean. Other details that made a difference were the automatic lights that helped me make my way back and forth to my car in the dark early mornings and evenings. There is a light in the closet, which while a small thing, really helps! The tiny kitchen had everything I needed to make coffee and even heat up some leftovers for a late-night snack. And what a nice touch to leave a small bottle of water and of wine, as well as a little bowl of chocolates! The shower was great, with a good supply of hot water, great pressure, and a shower head with a strong massage setting. Using the key code instead of a key was great too, as I didn't need to remember where the key was. The parking area in back was well lighted and the fairy lights on the balcony and back patio were also little helpful beacons. I wish I had had more time to enjoy the balcony. We had beautiful fall weather and it's a lovely little spot. I'm sure if my stay had been for pleasure I would have made this most of it. And the location right off 17th Avenue, with all the great, hip restaurants within easy walking distance, is really ideal for the traveler. Anyone visiting Denver would also have easy driving access to downtown 5 minutes away. I'm so glad I was able to book this rental on short notice. It was a homey little haven after several nights at a standard hotel. I would definitely recommend it, and stay there again myself. Adorable.

Quiet, quaint loft in downtown Denver

We travelled a lot during our stay but the loft was easy to get to and had parking in the back. The bed was very comfy after being out all day. It was the perfect amount of space for 1 or 2 people. Within walking distance to many restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

So tiny

The property was in a great up and coming location. It is still a little rundown though. There were a couple of burned out mattress out back where you park and lots of trash. You have to park exactly between the lines of your parking space or you will be towed. You cannot check in before 4. The bathroom you have to step up and is so extremely tiny you cannot turn around. Also when you step out to open the door it hits the sink that is on the outside. I think it was a little overpriced. The stairs are a little treachous and it is an old house so it is very musty smelling. Probably would not rent again.

Incredibly cute, convenient and comfortable!

This house is incredibly cute! I stayed at this lovely Denver home and so glad I did!! The location is awesome and convenient to downtown and City Park and all sorts of cool restaurants and bookstores, so convenience is a nice factor. Even better, the house is delightful and such a nice place to come home to! I Love the soft feather bed, the French doors and stepping outside onto the porch in the sunshine. This is my home away. Thank you!

Great spot to access downtown and lots of nicer restaurants. Easy walk to Botanical Gardens, parks. Just the right amount of space at the property for a home base for a quick visit to the city. Nice porch space and comfy bed.

Sunny and Sweet Studio, Just What We Needed

This adorable studio apartment was the perfect for my boyfriend and I. The highlight was the French doors leading out to the expansive balcony--we kept them open most of the time, and whether you're outside or inside, the unit feels sunny and fresh. It was also in a cool neighborhood with tons of hip restaurants/coffee shops/bars/parks...you name it! Owners demonstrated remarkable hospitality. On the first day we noticed the coffeemaker was missing, but didn't think it was a big enough deal to contact the owners about it. The next day, however, they had placed a brand new coffeemaker outside the door, with a handwritten note apologizing for/explaining its absence. Jules was also doing some work around the house while we were there; he was pleasant to chat with and showed us some of the larger units in the house. They all look adorable and I would recommend them to anyone who was looking for a bit more space.

Beautiful Place

Absolutely loved our experience in this apartment! Location is great, close to restaurants, shopping, bike rentals and parks. We felt comfortable walking in the neighborhood. Jeanne left directions to nearby groceries and menus were available for nearby restaurants. The apartment was beautifully decorated and clean with down comforters, great beds and thick towels. The bathroom vanity was outside of the bathroom, which was nice. The shower was small, but tastefully finished with white tile and good water pressure. Highly recommend this rental! Uber drivers were awesome too. Denver is a perfect vacation destination.

Awesome Balcony!

We had a great stay here. The apartment was clean, attractive, and comfortable. The balcony was awesome for people watching and relaxing with a glass of wine. It was easy to get in using the door codes and lockbox and it allowed us to "check in" without having to coordinate times. Jeanne was responsive to our emails and all our communication was very pleasant. The neighborhood is in a great location! Restaurant Row allowed us to walk a few steps to morning coffee or one of several fun restaurants for lunch or dinner, which was very nice after a day of touring and Denver traffic.

Cute Place

My husband & I stayed in this very small rental for 5 nights. It's in a great location, spotless, nicely decorated with all the expected conveniences & the bed was very comfortable but be wary as the bathroom is very small which would make it difficult for a larger person to maneuver. The balcony was perfect for our morning coffee and a glass of wine each evening. The unit did have 2 major flaws, thus my low rating. The plumbing caused problems almost immediately. On Day 2, as we showered, we were forced to stand in 2-3" of water due to a slow drain and the toilet failed to flush properly. Juve was responsive and used a liquid to clear the drains & gave us a heavy duty plunger for the toilet. The toilet continued to be problematic (no matter what was being flushed) until we checked out on Day 5. Also, on Day 4, I was using the blow dryer & the tv & lights were on (a/c was not) when a fuse blew & we lost power to half of the unit. The information book advised the location of the electrical panel if this happened so my husband went to take care of it & the breaker switch flew out of the panel. Luckily, he has an electrical background & with Juve's telephonic authorization/direction, he replaced the defective switch with one from an unoccupied unit. Juve was responsive to the problems both times we spoke with him (albeit by phone 1 time since he was out of town for the 4th of July holiday) & explained that "it's an old house" and problems are to be expected. In my opinion, these are major issues and should be permanently addressed prior to renting this unit out again. I couldn't have taken care of the electrical issue myself and my husband advised that when the switch flew out, there were "hot" wires exposed that could've caused injury to an unknowing person. Also, it's just plain gross to have to leave waste sit in a toilet for an extended time to allow the pipes to drain through the tree roots or whatever else is causing the plumbing issues. To the owners' credit, we were given a refund equal to almost 2 nights to compensate for our troubles but I'm sorry to say that I still can't, in good conscience, recommend staying in this unit until permanent (& probably expensive) repairs are made that address the electrical and plumbing issues.

Clean and comfy

I am a business traveler tired of expensive hotels. This apartment was a wonderful change of pace and a good value. The building is very old but the apartment is clean, cute and plenty big for one person. I appreciated the cookies and coffee. The air conditioning unit kept the small apartment plenty cool and it was so nice to open the door on the balcony at night for fresh air. Unfortunately I have a large work truck and parking was difficult. I had to park a block or two away each night but it was an easy walk. I plan to come again. For the price, this was a great value.

Great small Apartment and walk to downtown

The apartment is just as presented in the photos. My husband and I are walkers....we enjoy being able to walk in a city without worrying about where to park. Once we parked our rental in one of the 3 spaces in the back alley..we were able to go everywhere we wanted without starting up the car. The apartment is in a residential area that is very close to restaurants.....as in just a short walk down the block and turn the corner. We are beer lovers as well..we were able to walk to the downtown area and visited a number of breweries..You can turn left out the apartment door for a couple blocks and head down to the 16th Street Mall, hop on the free bus or walk .... This will take you close to the downtown area and Coors Field. We would stay here again if we visited Denver. The bed is very comfy and the cookies and wine are a nice touch....Thank you !

Nice Balcony in the Perfect Location

This is my second stay in Jeanne's house and I have no complaints. The balcony is perfect. I enjoyed eating outside in the morning and people watching in the evening. The apartment is very comfortable with a small bakery/coffee shop and several restaurants on the corner. I will be back in the future.

Excellent location!

This was a cute and comfortable studio with a great private deck in a fantastic neighborhood! Juve, the owner, was incredibly nice and very helpful. The restaurants in the neighborhood were fantastic and it was only about a mile and a half walk from downtown.

I am a native of Colorado. My husband and I enjoy traveling, and outdoor activities and take advantage of our Colorado Rockies as much as possible. When we am not hiking, skiing, bicycling, we enjoy what Denver has to offer. Rockies, Broncos, Rapids, parks, restaurants, shopping, theater, bicycling, and endless events. The city is growing and changing, and becoming more metropolis by the month. Denver is a fun place to be and we are proud to call it our home.

Why they chose this property

This apartment is a great value for it's style, location, and amenities. It is spotless, and it is priced significantly below any hotel in the area and that is without kitchens provided. It is in a nice location that is perfect for experiencing all that Denver has to offer.

What makes this property unique

This house is in an idea location for touring Denver. It is central to all major attractions and walkable to almost everything. Public transportation and bicycle rentals are readily available within one block of the house.

We pride ourselves in providing a very clean, spotless accommodation that is quiet and although small, it is luxuriously furnished. If guests have questions or would like suggestions for restaurants etc, we are happy to oblige.
