Great Place to Unwind!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is set back from the road, giving the property privacy (the neighborhood was very quiet as well). The house was nicely furnished and clean, with a spacious layout. The kitchen was well equipped and bathroom and bedrooms clean. Would definitely recommend!
We spent two glorious nights in this lovely and interesting home. Lovely part of the world in general. The home had everything we needed and then some. Easy communication with the owners!
We highly recommend this house! It wa delightful.
Our overall experience was wonderful. The house is very inviting, surrounded by beautiful nature, nice pool and there are places you can visit such as the Echo Bay for boat rides and the nice Hacienda restaurant in Brookfield, excellent food and live Mariachi.
Small but charming house in the CT woods. Huge swimming pool, tons of outdoor space. House was clean, comfortable and perfect for a weekend away. Host was very responsive.

Perfect for a small group
The house was perfect for our weekend in the Litchfield area. It was centrally located and we had easy access to Roxbury and Washington. We really enjoyed the updates the owner made to their charming home. We also enjoyed the fact that all of the bedding and linens were new and the house was spotless. We would definitely return

Great girls weekend
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean and quiet. The decor of the home was beautifully done and was very inviting - the whole house made for an incredibly relaxing weekend. The house would have been difficult to find, but Joseph had sent a description that made it smooth. The house is off of the main road, giving you that country feel but also close enough to the downtown area so that if you forget something the stores aren't too far a drive. Our favorite activities were only 15/20 minutes from the home. We loved Theo's Downtown Diner for breakfast, we visited Lovers Leap which offered some nice views and an easy family friendly hike, we also hit up Averill Farm for apple picking and delicious pizza! Overall just a great experience.

Simple but sublime getaway
More rustic than what my husband and I are used to renting, the house though had pure charm.
The heated pool was a delight. The Jorinos were very responsive to whatever we needed during our stay.
The kitchen cabinets and masters bedroom closet could have used some updating but all in all the house
and Litchfield County were the stars of our two week vacation.

Just Magical
I am a bit late writing a review for this rental. I want to start by saying this was a trip I have wanted to plan for my family for years, and I was finally in a position to host Christmas. Every moment in this space happened just as I imagined. My grandmother had the best sleep she has had in a long time, the beds were super comfortable, there was a clean breeze that filled the room at night. The house was so well decorated, we felt at home immediately. We purchased a tree a few blocks away from a charming man who gave us a great deal. We decorated with homemade ornaments, and watched movies played board games, ate ate ate!! Hosting dinner in the dining room was amazing, the only reason I did not give 5 stars was because there was a bit of a chill so we were always very aware that we were all not quite warm. Though modern the space has that old house charm, so you may find a spider here or there and a few cobwebs, but we loved it because we were in the midst of nature. There is a great sized pool outside but it was still winter so we could not jump in. My family and I definitely plan on coming back.

Summer Splendor
We rented this fabulous property for most of June and had the most amazing time. The house is gorgeous as the owners have thoughtfully decorated and furnished. It is very 'hotel like'.... without personal objects etc.....which is what we like. The grounds are gorgeous and private. the pool area was lovely. The kitchen was brand new and fully stocked but we cooked most meals on the grill. Loved the location and was a quick car ride to town or restaurants. It truly was magical and we can't wait to get back there.

Wonderful Getaway
I stayed here for a Mom's weekend with three of my girlfriends. The house is absolutely charming and very well appointed, I mean beautifully decorated! There are two fireplaces, although we only used one, but it made it very cozy while catching up. The kitchen is awesome, every kitchen gadget you can think of (didn't use 95% of them, but loved checking out your collection of kitchenware!) loved the farm sink and dishwasher was whisper quiet! - We cooked the first night but took Joseph's recommendation our second evening and ate at the White Horse...delicious btw! The beds were super comfy, and having two bathroom for four of us was helpful!!
As a side note, check out time is 11am - We were all set to leave around 10am and all of us began receiving texts that the roads were horrible. (we didn't realize we had gotten hit with an ice storm early morning that shut down the road we had to take home!) I texted Joseph, who texted me back immediately, and I asked if we could hang out until the roads were safe - He had NO problem that. So we ended up leaving around 1pm and drove home safely.
Thanks again, we had a great time!

Sunny by day, cosy by night!
As New Yorkers we decided to try Litchfield County for a summer vacation and chose Bear Hill as our destination. We made the right choice! The house is stylish, clean, comfortable and blinged out with state of the art flat screens and music system. The grounds and pool are lovely. The area where the house is situated has dairy farms, horse farms, ponds, rivers, it's just stunning! Try it. We're sure happy we did!

Foliage season retreat
We went to Bear Hill for foliage season. This area is stunning this time of year! The house was gorgeous and the beds so comfy. The kitchen well equipped. We biked during the day and made suppers and fires at night. It was too cold to use the pool but we want to come back in summer because it looked so inviting!

Away from it all
Couldn't believe the time we enjoyed. It was spectacular. A mini Oasis. The house was sleek and chic and utterly superb. The grounds were private and beautiful. We listened the river and discovered a hidden pond. The pool was wonderful. The furnishings were eclectic and comfy. Can't wait to get back there.

Superb
We had the best time here. The pool was warm and we spent the entire week without leaving the house. BBQ''s, hiking, movies and love. The owners were so helpful with our stay and we are in love with the house.
