About this property

Come stay with us and experience the ultimate mountain getaway.

Welcome to my home! It's a special place that I love, and I'm thrilled to share it with you. You'll be surrounded by nature, with the National Forest, a seasonal mountain stream, and plenty of wildlife. At night, the sky is bright with stars. There's so much to do here, like Sandia Ski Area, sledding, biking, and hiking. You can also take a scenic drive to unique mining towns or check out the one-of-a-kind Tinkertown museum.

My house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including radiant heat, a wood stove, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a queen sleeper sofa. I also have a growing selection of movies, books, puzzles, and games for you to enjoy. If you have a furry friend, there's an outside dog pen and dog crates available (just bring your dog's own bedding).

Please note that some parts of the property are not easily accessible for those who have trouble walking on uneven surfaces. If you have any questions about this or anything else, don't hesitate to ask me. I'm here to help!

When you're here, you'll have access to a two-car garage and additional parking, so no need to worry about that. However, if there's significant snow, you won't be able to drive directly in front of the house, but don't worry, I have a sled available to help you bring your things down.

I hope you enjoy your stay here and make some wonderful memories.

Amazing Place!
Lee Anne’s house is spacious, well equipped, and in a perfect spot. Communication was great and we concerned about leaving on our check-out day due to a snowstorm. Lee Anne responded immediately and allowed us to stay an additional night so the roads could clear up. We recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area, we definitely look forward to staying there again!

A True Mountain Retreat
Very quiet and spacious. It only takes about 20-30 min to get in Albuquerque too. House can be difficult to find at night (do to the other cars parked so close to the entrance) but the instructions on how to locate the property are spot on. I recommend this place for sure and, when in town, plan to stay again.

This was a wonderful, very spacious family home nestled in the woods. It is a large property located close to family friendly hiking trails including Sulfur Picknic area and Sandia Peak. It was a fantastic place for an escape from the hustle and heat of the city.

Excellent property!
We had an amazing stay this past weekend. Our host was so accommodating and asked prior to our visit what we needed. We had everything we could have needed. The pictures don't do this property justice. It was beautiful with an outdoor eating area, and sitting areas outside. We have family in that area so we will definitely be visiting again.

Peaceful and serene
Everything from the silent radiant heat, quiet dishwasher, gentle wood floors, and quiet neighborhood made this stay so peaceful. Morning coffee while watching the day open was wonderful. Kitchen was fully equipped. Hiking trails nearby and we went there 3 consecutive days. The property was really pretty with lovely stone work. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent Home - Perfect Stay
We loved the location and scenery of this home. Walks from the house each day we’re beautiful. The master bedroom (my room) was amazing - the floors were heated! We cooked in the house every night due to the state being closed but the kitchen had everything we needed and more! Home owner was always responsive and very, very helpful. She made the stay easy!!

Well kept and quiet
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July. No noisy fireworks. All the trees surrounding the property provided lots of shade. The well kept game closet kept the teenagers occupied. The house was clean and well stocked with spices and electrical appliances. We look forward to a return trip!

Great East Mountains Vacation
We live 20 minutes away in Albuquerque and were looking for a change of scenery and cooler temperatures during the pandemic. This house was the perfect place to spend the week. It's located just off the road up to Sandia Crest and there are many great trailheads for hiking minutes away. The house was clean and had everything we needed and is located in a beautiful setting with many trees and a stream. The owner, Lee Anne, was very easy to work with and responsive to all of our emails. We'd love to come back for another stay.

The stay was very comfortable. Plenty of space for all. Very quite and everything was near.
Thank you for letting us stay! We all enjoyed. We did some Geocaching as well. Some nearby recreational parks were still closed, but we made the best out of it. We of course helped out with local companies due to the pandemic. One thing missing from the kitchen was a potato masher. Otherwise, very nice place to stay. Thank you!

The best getaway ever.
I was the chaperone for a group of Scouts traveling to Philmont by train. Since I had to entertain myself for a week, we decided to come in to Albuquerque station and find a place for us to acclimate to the altitude and easy a home cooked meal. Lee-Ann was WONDERFUL to all of us, including my octogenarian Dad who joined us at the last minute. The house was spotless, the kitchen was beautifully equipped, the beds and couches were comfortable, and the grounds were breathtakingly lovely. Stay here. You really need to stay here.

R and R after long time care giving
My brother, aunt and I took care of our spouses before they passed. Both of their spouses passed away during covid. They haven't taken vacations for years. This was their first experience using an VRBO. They loved it! It was so relaxing and we were able to visit a cousin who lived close by the rental.

About the host

Hosted by Lee Anne

Host profile image
I am a widow and this was my home. I will 200% try to do my best to make your experience with me wonderful. I lived here 3 years by myself after my husband died raising two boys. It was too much for me with young children so I moved into the city. I have a masters degree in OT, referee soccer, play soccer, Vice President of a community orchestra (I play the violin). I love being a host. Never thought I would ever be a vacation host but life brings us curve balls as we all know.

Why they chose this property

This was my home for several years husband loved this property and you will see in the spring all the tulips he planted all over. I will live here again. With two active boys I needed to be in the city. I had long term renters but they didn’t love it as I do. Every time I came up I wanted to stay but couldn’t. By making it into a vacation home my family can enjoy it too and we love it!

What makes this property unique

This property is amazing! A seasonal mountain stream, majestic trees, wildflowers and tulips that come up in the spring. 3 flagstone bridges and beautiful rock-work. You can see a variety of wildlife here. Walking distance or a short drive to some of the best hiking in New Mexico. At 7000 feet it’s nice and cool in the summer, snow in the winter. Well most the time. I wish I could predict the weather but haven't figured that out yet.
