Unique Artist home. Three bedrooms 2.5 bath this home must be seen to believe. Your own private sanctuary. This would be a great home for couples to share. Girls get away weekend. It is a great design to entertain. Every where you look from my paintings to all the little details you will be greatly surprised. You will be so happy with your choice. In between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Feels like your own private getaway. This home is bright, fun, and whimsical. And a beautiful porch view or the lake for cocktails and food, bike path out your front door, the Petoskey Brewery is just a few staggering steps away.

Gorgeous, Extremely CLEAN!

This property was amazing, First off Ricardo the property owner was great, very responsive with any questions we had. This house was extremely clean and very well stocked with lots of extra blankets and pillows. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. The art and decor in this house was stunning. We visited in the winter so I was not able to use the beautiful backyard. If you’re looking for a house that is extremely clean then this is the house to choose! 10 minute drive to Nubbs knob which we visited 2x a day for 4 days. We will definitely be booking again! Thanks again Ricardo!

Gorgeous and clean!

Three girlfriends who needed the perfect Hallmark vacation booked this gorgeous home and had the BEST time! From the stunning art to the peaceful lake and comfy furniture - this was the best rental we’ve ever stayed in. Excellent location. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

We LOVED this place!

Clean, spacious, and well equipped home, on a wonderful lot. Evening cocktails on the patio while watching water birds enjoying their evening dinner. We will definitely be back!

Glorious Respite

Four ladies from 4 different states that make an attempt each year to gather and break away from life’s everyday responsibilities, found the perfect place to gather and enjoy our sisterhood. The peaceful embrace we felt in this house was more than we could’ve expected and we are so grateful to find such a unique and comfortable home! Thank you!!

Dazzling decor

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was roomy, kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed, the location was convenient, and the interior decorating was stunning! We loved sitting on the patio enjoying a coffee while looking out on the lake. We would definitely come back.

Fantastic house & location!

House was great for our group. It was better in person than the pictures online. Richard was a fantastic host, very accomodating & paints great art! I think I found a new painting in the house everyday that I hadn't seen the day before. House was very spacious & very clean. We enjoyed Petoskey & Charlevoix. The Petoskey Brewery is literally around the block and had great food, Petoskey state park across the road (has a really great beach), downtown shopping area ,farmers market on Friday. Must go to Sunset park (10 min drive) to see the million dollar sunset, it did not disappoint! We rock hunted at Magnus park, Petoskey beach, Charlevoix beach, Fishermans Island, East park. Had ice cream & chocolates at Kilwins. Awesome mexican restaurant that we ate at twice, Mi Tequila. A really fun putt putt golf place a 3 min drive from house. There's a fire pit, we bought firewood at Meijer,15 min drive. There were spices, sugar, powdered creamer in the cabinet, a keurig & drip cofee maker. Kitchen was fully eqiupped. Had plenty of pillows & blankets & towels. Washer & dryer came in handy. The lake in back is not for swimming. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the patio. Every room had a tv. 2nd bathroom is a jack & jill. Only negatives: bathroom needs some hooks for hanging things, tons of goose poop in the backyard, no closet access in one of the bedrooms, door was tricky to open. We really enjoyed our stay & I would definitely stay in this house again! Thanks Richard!

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time staying at Richard's home. The house was spacious and clean and nicely furnished. The back patio area has a lovely view of Mud Lake. Great location as well--easy access to the bike trail and state park. 5 stars!

Nice, clean home in a convenient location

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner was very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We had some trouble opening the doors, but quickly figured it out with Richard's help. Overall a great option to allow you to explore Petoskey and the neighboring towns. We really enjoyed sitting by the pond/lake behind the house. Thank you for the hospitality!

Simply the Best!

Read reviews on how wonderful the Petoskey area is, so my husband and I thought we’d give it a try. Not only is the area as charming as the reviews we read but Richard’s house could be considered second to none in that category as well. Online pictures doesn’t do this property justice. His home is absolutely incredible and not only that he thought of eveything to make our stay memorable. I even asked him if he has other properties as I would plan a vacation just to be able to stay in another one of his homes. We will definitely look him up next time we head to Michigan. Thank you so much!

A Fabulous Place to Stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful time. The house is impeccably clean and quite eclectic! Richard's ( the owner) art work is amazing and he is very good at communicating . It is the best VRBO we have stayed in - and we've stayed in many. We especially enjoyed the backyard - beautiful lake view, quite serene. Once you get past loving the house, the area where it is located is the best. We went to wineries, played golf, went to a live concert (Blood, Sweat and Tears if you are old enough to remember them), biked the trail that is right in front of the house, went to an art festival and just roamed around. Looking forward to going back. It's a great area with cool summer weather (back home it was over 100).

Wonderful Property

Richards house was everything we could have asked for. We especially enjoyed the tranquility of the patio both morning and evening. The home is full of so much amazing art and decor. We had a great stay.

The Best

This was one of the nicest if not the nicest house that we have ever rented. It was beautifully furnished and decorated and decorated with some of the original original art by the owner. Although there was no indication that any of the art was for sale it was for sale we did by chance call the owner and we're lucky enough to have him agree to sell us one of his original pieces. If you're going to spend any time in the Petoskey area rent this house.

Beautifully eclectic

The location is perfect, close to downtown Petoskey, walking distance from both Petoskey state park and Petoskey brewing. The bike trail is steps outside the front door. The house is lovely and well maintained. It was immaculate when we walked in. It has great entertaining spaces especially the lovely back patio. Even though it is close to 119 you felt like you were on a seclude lake. Communication was wonderful and prompt. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Upnorth Home for a little R&R

Richard’s home is perfect in every way. As soon as you walk in you have been transported to a home which is not only clean but has a fully equipped kitchen for plenty of meals. The bonus is the whimsical artwork EVERYWHERE and the amazing architecture of the home itself. The outdoor seating on the lake is blissful and the location of the home is perfect. Each bedroom and bathroom is thoughtful fully equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed the property with another couple and will definitely be back!

Perfect house for gathering with friends!

Richard’s home is absolutely beautiful! It’s also clean and spacious. We chose this home for a small bachelorette weekend for 5 ladies. The home had everything we needed to make a couple small meals. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable. The pictures of this home don’t do it justice. It’s so beautiful! The back yard is very lovely with rocking chairs and a view of a small pond. The house is also in close proximity to all the fun in Petoskey. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Lake House!

We absolutely love this beautiful lake house - this was our second visit and we look forward to next time! The lake setting is so beautiful, with many birds and wildlife. We even had the opportunity to see a turtle laying its eggs. The house is so lovely and perfect for entertaining. We had wonderful family dinners on the back patio and loved the open kitchen. The location near trails and Petoskey State Park is hard to beat. Richard is a wonderful host and so responsive. We look forward to returning again to your beautiful home!

Everything in this home has been updated. Furniture, mattresses, linens, towels, down to the potato peeler, every thing is new. Pictures of this lovely home doesn't quite capture.

What makes this property unique

Stained glass windows from Harbor Springs First Presbyterian Church are over 120 years old. Fire pit for hot dog and marshmallows. Sit and rock your cares away on the patio by the lake. Simply beautiful!
