Privacy like this is hard to find anywhere these days... especially when you're still just minutes from everything! The house sits on 4 acres and is next to 100 acres of wilderness, so it's like being on a private reserve in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether you're into bird watching and relaxing on the back deck listening to the creek, want to cook out and sit around the fire pit and soak in the hot tub, want to get out and explore the area attractions or just go to dinner, you're centrally located to it all.
Each of the two main bedrooms have complete privacy at opposite ends of the house, each have queen size beds, private decks and are fully stocked with fresh linens and have ceiling fans. There is plenty of storage and hanging space. The kitchen is well stocked with all your basic needs even my favorite, a french coffee press! The house is light and bright with south facing windows and catches the cool mountain breeze so there's no need for AC.
Enjoy the sunset view from the sunken hot tub while you cook out on the grill and relax around the fire pit. This house is perfect for a weekend getaway or a month long vacation... whichever it is, I guarantee you'll want to stay longer!
*Please be aware that the cabin is on a hill and has 2 levels. There are 15 stairs down to the main entrance from the driveway. There are 6 stairs from the entrance landing up to the second level and 8 stairs down to the main living level. There are 5 stairs from the tv room/library up to the master bedroom.

This property is located outside of Boone, making it easy to access Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. The house itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Can’t wait to come back for another mountain getaway!
Stayed for a weekend and had a great time. It snowed while we were there. The views are fantastic, the home is secluded but still not far from town. The house was very clean. Loved the style of the home and decor. Communication with the host was easy. Would stay again!
This property offers a great place to stay with space to enjoy the outdoors on their many balconies/patios and great view of the mountains while staying very close driving distance to Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock.
The cabin was perfect for our family. Bigger than it looks on the outside. We loved the piping hot hot tub, fire pit and gorgeous mountain view's. Close to town and lots of fun things to do on the mountain!
We enjoyed everything about this property including the firepit area, spa tub, outdoor deck, beautiful kitchen, and the spacious bedrooms. My son enjoyed the bunk bed with the windows in the roof to look at the stars. The property is very private. The owner communicated with us very quickly whenever we had a question. Highly recommend!

Incredible
The cabin was fantastic and the views were amazing. We actually spent more time at the cabin than anticipated because of how comfortable it was there. It has everything you need to have a great vacation and the owner is amazingly helpful. I am looking forward to a return visit!
Great little place for an energetic family of six. Remote enough to feel secluded, but still a quick 10 minute drive to restaurants and activities. Anna did a great job communicating, and informed us of incoming inclement weather to ensure my families safety. Would definitely recommend! Will stay again! Thanks Anna!
The host was very communicative and proactive. The view from the back deck was breathtaking (and you can see it from the hot tub!)
The cabin was exactly as pictured and very clean. You're just a few minutes from Boone, but feels like you are in the middle of the woods.
House was as stated on the ad. Great views, calm, quiet. All worked out for us. We were very happy here; hope to come back again. We need more time to check out more town attractions.
The house was clean and in good shape. Internet service was reliable.
This stay far exceeded my expectations! The sight was away from the hustle and bustle of Boone but close enough to modern amenities when needed. The view from the deck was gorgeous! A sunrise and sunset to behold from the comfort of a clean hot tub! Deer feeding on the beautiful green foliage in the morning and the steady melody of a stream near by. The house had everything we needed and gave ample space for privacy when starting with a family. Grandfather mountain, Hawk’s nest, and the Alp coaster was within a 20-30 minute drive. The hostess was quick to respond to questions and the check in and out time was seamless . I look forward to staying there again in the future.
We loved our stay here! Road access was super easy and it felt like a home away from home. Very private and peaceful yet so close to everything to go out to dinner, etc. Really enjoyed the view of the mountains, especially from the balcony off the smaller bedroom. Plenty of towels for the hot tub and showers and a nice water bowl ready for the dogs. Small beds but comfy furniture and nice smart TVs. Loved the kitchen and having a choice of drip coffee or French press! The house has a great layout with an artsy feel, gorgeous wood ceilings and beams, very nice ambient lighting…really a very cool place inside and out but our goofy dogs were frightened of the inside stairs as they seem higher than normal? The outside has it all - the sound of the stream, nice furniture, a hot tub, a fire pit (bring wood), and grassy areas to walk the dogs. The inside of the house has a musty smell as you might expect being in the woods, but there are lots of windows to open and ceiling fans. Loved seeing lots of deer in the neighborhood too!
We’ve probably stayed in over 30 VRBOs. This was the most communicative and caring host we ever had. The fact that the property was perfect for our Christmas was a huge plus
We plan on returning for many Christmases
Unique little cabin at the tip end of a dead end road - secluded and quiet! Perfect for our family of 6 plus Cody the dog. So many enjoyable places to sit and relax, both inside and outside the cabin. The owner was very helpful answering the questions I had upon arrival. We would definitely book it again!
We enjoyed our stay despite the rainy weather. Very convenient to have a washer/dryer and even had detergent packs. We were hoping to build a fire in the fire pit, but the firewood had not been replenished from the last visitor. Luckily, stores, gas stations, etc are only a few minutes away so we bought firewood at a gas station. Enjoyed the hot tub!
This place was just perfect. It was my husband and our dog and it was perfect. Close to all the small towns and activities. Loved enjoying the hot tub at night as well. I will refer anyone i know to this place!
Dear whoever
This was to be a special trip for our 30th Wedding Anniversary for which my Siser traveled from England.
On arrival to our Cabin the house smelt Musty and Damp and Cold , there were dishes washed and left on te Draining side it did not looked all inviting .
In our Bedroom there were Stink Bugs crawling down the wall , although the sheets were clean the bed felt damp . There was DogSlobber on the Arm of the Sofa the TV was all in Spanish .
In my Sister's Bedroom there were Cobwebbs and Pink Toothpaste on the front of the basin and on the floor even though we paid cleaning services.
I myself have had 2 major Back Surgeries and have a problem with Stair we arrive to find that there were 3 flights of Stairs and the Hand Rail on the bottom Stairs was not secured properly had l have fallen it would have been a very different experience all together .
We found ourselves coming home a whole day and night early as we discussed our experience and decided we had had enough .
All in All it was not a Pleasant time for any of us and not one we would recommend to our friends and not one we will be eager to do again , it certainly was not worth the money we paid.
Yours Sincerely
Mrs E Neal
Cabin was even more spectacular in person! Loved the way it was decorated, very tasteful and unique. Outside seating areas were perfect, the fire pit for night time, the covered couches when it rained and the in deck hot tub for all the time! Host was great at communicating and I would definitely recommend staying here! We will be back!
I grew up in Spain, Belgium and England, was tri-lingual by the age of 10. I graduated from the University of Bristol and promptly took off to work as a cook on sailboats in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. I ended up in Costa Rica where I lived for 5 years then moved to Boone NC. I now live in Asheville where I own a women's boutique so I can rent out my beautiful house in Boone for other people to enjoy when I'm not there!
Why they chose this property
Come home to this private wooded hideaway just 5 minutes from town. Multiple decks for relaxing, a sunken hot tub with sunset views, a fire pit and bbq on the patio. Convenience to Boone, Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway make this a fantastic location for a mountain vacation!
What makes this property unique
It's hard to find this kind of privacy anywhere these days... let alone so close to everything!
