Best cabin near Glacier

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gary and Theresa's cabin in Essex. The cabin is the most well stocked and the cleanest vacation rental I've ever stayed at. The hosts were so kind and left us a bottle wine and pasta on our first night. Location is phenomenal; perfect for exploring both sides of the park. We would happily return!

Best Cabin in thevwest

Cabin was great-extremely clean and well stocked - location was good for hitting hikes on both sides of the Park. It is close to road and train tracks but that’s common in this area. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone visiting Glacier NP.

Very clean, charming home. Right between both Glacier park entrances.

Hosts were fabulous, it was like having a kind neighbor you enjoy conversations with. My daughter fell in love with their dog. Super clean cabin, kitchen well stocked with whatever tools / etc you need, new grill was enjoyed so we didn't heat up the cabin. The train is right across the street, but not enough of an issue to deter a positive review (it did wake us a few times). Kids liked counting how many trains they saw in a week. Good location between park entrances. No A/C in the house, but it only got a little stuffy late afternoon and we were out of the house most days (with highs around 90 this week). Thanks Gary and Theresa for a fabulous stay!

Simply beautiful

This property is so well taken care. We travel a lot and this was the cleanest stay yet. I found this surprising for a cabin in the woods. The hosts were super sweet and left us a bottle of wine and homemade apple sauce. We were blessed to find this gem and enjoy Glacier while being immersed in the forest. We loved our down-time relaxing by the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and playing horseshoes.

Perfect location for Glacier National Park

A wonderful property located between the West Entrance of GNP and the east side which makes it perfect for exploring all sides of the park. This spotless cabin was equipped with a full kitchen including cooking basics (oil, spices), satellite tv, dvd, washer/dryer including all detergents and basic toiletries. The host is very welcoming and creates the perfect balance of being available to you while also offering you your privacy. The property has plenty of space for a family to enjoy, including camp fire and horseshoes as well as a nice creek just a minute down the road. Would definitely recommend.

Nice log cabin

Great hosts, extremely well stocked, lovely deck. Be aware that trains are nearby and it’s a bit of a drive to east Glacier and Many Glacier. Beautiful authentic log cabin.

Absolutely Amazing

I can't say enough good things about our stay! Gary and Theresa were awesome and went out of their way to go above and beyond for us! We were treated like we were part of their family! The cabin was clean and cozy and well sound insulated. It had everything stocked in it you would need except for actual food, and in fact they gave us some of their own food! I would recommend staying here 10 out of 10 times every day of the week! Just make sure you stay for longer then three days because there is tons of stuff to do outdoors in the area!

Beautiful place to stay!

The cabin was beautiful inside and out. We had plenty of room for 3 adults and two teenagers. The location was great as well, midway between east and west GNP entrances. Theresa is a wonderful host. She and Apollo made us feel right at home. The cabin is very comfy and very well furnished with everything you need. We loved our stay here and would definitely choose this location again!

cabin too close to the road

The cabinet closest to the road and the train noise right across the road is very loud and squealing all night and day. Highway noise right by the cabin picked up around 5 AM it is very noisy all day on the loft bedroom is nice but the only accessible bathroom floor it is downstairs.

The way your stay in Glacier should be

Location and hospitality are delivered in abundance. But so is the charm and ambiance of being in a real log cabin that delivers the perfect blend of roominess and comfort in a great location. The hosts are friendly and genuinely care about how your stay is going. All in a Log Cabin package, modern conveniences are mixed with a huge patio deck, large outdoor firepit and horseshoes to while away the in-between sight-seeing-activity times making this a super comfortable place to stay. We found we were close to everything, whether it was sightseeing GN Park, going to lakes, hiking trails, whitewater rafting or visiting the different communities, our home away put us an easy drive whichever direction our day's activities took us. And our host generously offered anything extra that we might need to complete an activity, whether it was Bear Spray for hiking treks, a pole for fishing or even a beer to enjoy a little relaxing conversation, we definitely will come back to stay here! We highly recommend!

Perfect Place to Stay

This cabin is so cozy and beautiful. As many conveniences as possible were provided to us from staple pantry items, to DVDs and games provided. We had a place to wash clothes, cook meals, watch tv. It is located conveniently equal distance from the West and East Glacier entrances. We had less than desirable weather during our stay but the cabin was the perfect place to hunker down, make meals and watch movies.

first timers in montana/GNP

We were greeted by the very friendly owner Gary and his sweet playful dog, Apollo. They were both so welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The cabin was so cozy and beautiful! It had pretty much everything we needed. We did not have any issues and had the best first (and hopefully not last) time visiting.

Great property with wonderful owners!

My two boys and I stayed at this beautiful log home just outside of Glacier National Park and I would recommend this property for anyone heading to Glacier National Park. Theresa and Gary are both very friendly and helpful with any questions that you may have. This custom built Log Home is the epitome of craftsmanship and detail. When you sit on the rear deck after a full day in the park you are looking over their large manicured property with Glacier National Park in the background. If I were planning another trip to Glacier I would book this property without any second thoughts. I would actually book the cabin first when it was available and then plan my trip. Second home

This was one of the best decisions that we made in life. Gary and Theresa we’re not just host for us but like a family. They made sure that our Stay was exactly what we desired. They even called us over for dinner and treated us like their family members. They are a pure soul. We will visit them again for sure. The house is absolutely phenomenal. Everything is in there. You all just have to adjust with the internet which is quite slow. Everything else is perfect. Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful house. I assure you no one will regret.

Where to begin…:: it was fabulous!!! Not sure what we liked better, the accommodations or the company!!! We adored Gary and Teressa!! Felt like family to us! And the cabin was just perfect! Great location, super cozy and all around perfect. We can’t wait to return and the kids adored their dog Apollo.

Glacier Park Cabin

We give this VRBO a perfect 5 stars! Upon arriving, we were greeted by Gary (& Apollo the dog) with the warmest smile and hospitality imaginable! We arrived around 7:00 p.m. and did not have time to stop at the grocery store because we wanted to arrive before it was dark. Gary helped us out with a few basic food items and directions to a local restaurant just a few miles down the road. The cabin was absolutely perfect, it had everything we needed and was so cozy and super clean. It is perfectly located just a few miles outside of the busy area near the West entrance of Glacier National Park. Later we met Theresa, who is just as friendly as Gary and we shared some social time with them before we would head out to do our own tourist things. We even enjoyed our own private bon fire on our last night right there on the property! We would highly recommend this cabin to others and we do plan to return for another stay.

A jewel near Glacier National Park

This cabin located close to Glacier National Park is near so many beautiful sites to see and enjoy. In our short stay, we were able to visit the Park and many of the surrounding area, such as St Mary’s, Bigfork, Kalispel and Babba to name our favorites. This rustic, yet very modern 2-bedroom, 2 bath cabin was immaculate, comfortable, cozy and had all the modern conveniences to make your stay perfect. Our hosts, Gary and Theresa could not have been kinder or more generous. They have taken care of every detail; they are responsive to any questions, and knowledgeable of the area. If you love being outdoors, enjoying the beauty of that part of our country and then having a beautiful and comfortable place to return to at the end of your day, you should put this cabin near Glacier on your Bucket List.
