Island Tower #802 is an interior gulf-front 3 bedroom 3 bath condominium located on the 8TH floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1600 sq ft with 9-foot ceilings, 20 inch tile floors, floor-to-ceiling tinted windows and sliding glass doors. The kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances with double ovens all set in granite counter tops. The condo has 8 foot interior doors and high efficiency air conditioning system. The master en suite bathroom has double vanities, jetted tub and separate shower. The two guests bathrooms have tub/shower combinations. There are two gulf-front bedrooms that have access to the gulf-front balcony. Sleeps 8.

Island Tower is a 26-story building with 62 units (three on each floor) with covered garage parking (clearance 6' 8") and NO oversized vehicles are allowed on property. Island Tower is located 0.5 miles West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. The property has an infinity outdoor pool and an infinity climate-controlled indoor pool. The exercise room offers a dry sauna and workout equipment overlooking the gulf. The property also has a picnic/grill area. Island Tower is a smoke-free facility.

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply. *The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Amazing View!!!

We loved eating breakfast out on the balcony while watching dolphins swim by. The condo was immaculate. Thankfully, it was walking distance to many shops and restaurants as we didn’t want to drive in the crazy traffic. Parking at the condo was very tight. However, I would absolutely recommend this condo to a friend and hope to return in the near future!

Disappointment

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was the worse stay we have ever had in gulf shores and will not stay with this management co. or this condo again. Spideer webs in every corner of every room. No directions for tv's nor any batteries in remotes that worked. Microwave did not work. Walls along baseboards torn up all around condo.Many other problems and did not even car or would not do anything for me. Took one person who had never been and told her it would be wonderful and she cried at spider in closet and nothing but black hairs and spider webs with dust behind bathroom door. Another person with me was Air Force and rarely gets to go on a vacation and was upset that we all could not watch tv in living room due to no instructions. This is totally uncalled for. Should have enough respect for you gests to have instructions for every tv.

The property was great and exactly what we were hoping for! Plenty of room and the kitchen had everything we needed. Only complaints are the floor was dirty. It turned our the bottom of our feet black! The Wi-Fi didn’t work.

"Gulf-ing Our Life Away"

For 17 years, our family has been vacationing in Orange Beach at the same Condo, Admiral's Quarters. However, it requires a 7 day stay, and we couldn't stay that long. I searched condos in OB, and just couldn't find anything. Finally, I found Island Tower in Gulf Shores, unit 802. We are absolutely thrilled with this condo. Exactly as photographed. Lovely, comfortable, fabulous location and amazing balcony. The proximity to all our favorite restaurants made it so easy. It was more than we thought it would be, as we consider AQ to be our "gold standard." The weather was absolutely perfect - a hint of Fall in the air. I do 802 will become our new "gold standard." Great spacious condo for family vacation

Location couldn’t have been better! The best location we have ever stayed on a beach trip!!!! -the elevators were right outside the condo door. - outdoor pool and boardwalk were right outside the ground floor lobby. - easy walk to and from the pool/beach with all the kids’ supplies, tent, umbrellas, beach chairs, etc. Condo condition was nice. Beds were big and comfy, kitchen appliances were up to date, master bathroom was very spacious. We loved having 3 bathrooms! -The beach view was amazing from the large balcony. We sat outside every morning to enjoy the view with our coffee, And ended our days enjoying the cool breeze in the evening. - Some of the baseboards throughout the condo had chipped paint and seemed warped from possible water damage, but didn’t bother us. - the washer got off balance multiple times, even with small loads. Simply stopped it and moved wet items around in the washer and resumed washing/spinning cycle. - Be sure to bring extra of the following items to use during your stay: dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, toilet paper, trash bags, coffee filters, and paper towels. - there were no pot holders in the kitchen, so bring some or just use towels provided. We are already thinking of booking this condo again for June 2023!

Nice but needs attention

Overall, it was a nice, short stay. The view and sound of the waves from the 8th floor was amazing! The furniture on the balcony was nice and comfortable; the taller chairs were a hit. However, there are some things that need attention: the baseboards need to be stripped and repainted throughout, the shower in the master bath leaks and needs to be cleaned of mildew, the ice maker clogs up and doesn't give you ice through the door, the master bedroom with large bath needs a more comfortable bed, and the sheets are scratchy (need a higher thread count). This unit needs to be updated to a code instead of having to keep up with a key, which is really antiquated and annoying for both check-in and going on the beach. I can understand putting the dishes in the dishwasher and turning it on before leaving, but having to put up the dishes was a bit inconvenient.

Island Tower snowbirds

IT 802 was furnished & decorated well. We enjoyed our stay. Disappointed the fitness room was never available due to repairs- and would return there if the price did not increase by over 20%. A very nice condo and excellent service from Gulf Shores Rentals.

Mid September Stay

My husband and I rented this place to spend a long weekend with two other friends (couples). Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom for privacy. The condo had a very large balcony overlooking the ocean. We spent our days at the beach, and evenings watching the sunset. You can just sit in the balcony and watch the dolphins pass by. Overall, the condo was clean, with the exception of one of the bathrooms which was not very clean (dirty toilet). The bathroom also had some water damage/rotting of the baseboards. Also the bed skirt was old and torn. However, the rest was nice and clean. I think they were having some construction because elevators were not in best shape. Even with the esthetic issues with elevators and hallways outside the condo, once you got in, you were mesmerized by the ocean view. Overall, it was a spacious, clean, well equipped, and nice condo. Perfect view and spacious balcony. I would rent it again.
