Set back on a private drive, you are within 500 feet of Sunken Lake from the Thunder Bay River. Open upstairs loft with 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. Basement bedroom with bunk beds added in 2018. Small campfire pit to keep you warm on cool summer nights. Perfect getaway for couples and small families to enjoy the peace and quiet of Northern Michigan. Two Kayaks are available for your enjoyment. If you want to bring your small boat for fishing on Sunken Lake, there is a boat ramp near entrance of private drive.

One of my favs

Have stayed here many times . Close to many attractions but my favorite is the fishing ..caught 4 pike, many perch, and small mouth bass last week my parents really enjoyed the trip definitely will stay again

Perfect escape from city life

This was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do while up north. Made day trips to Oceqouc Falls, Mackinaw City and Seagull Point Park. The two teenage boys loved cruising around in the kayaks, even caught a large mouth bass. The house was exactly as listed, and Tammy was great to communicate with. We did have some rain so unfortunately no campfire this time, but I’m sure there will be a next time. Would definitely stay here again, and will also recommend it to family and friends as well.

Peaceful

Lovely, quiet area for a peaceful stay. The home was everything the listing stated. Beds were comfortable, linens plentiful, and the home was spotless. The lack of wi-fi was more than we bargained for, but that’s our own lack of imagination, I suppose. We would love to return to this gem of a property.

Peaceful house

The house and property was very clean & peaceful. We explored the area most of the daytime hours and sat by the fire at night. It's within 30 minutes of several beautiful beaches, light houses and waterfall. The kids also enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the river.

Peaceful property

Quiet piece of land, riverview and access. Beautiful, calm lake and very clean. Appreciated the kayaks to use, fire pit and outdoor seating. The home is very cozy and comfortable.

Super clean cabin

We rented the cabin for a fishing weekend with friends. The cabin very well stocked and super clean. The fire pit was great and having firewood included was an added bonus. We took the kayaks out on the lake. Great bass fishing for smallmouth and largemouth. We really enjoyed the privacy with this cabin. There are neighbors, but you're very secluded. A nice wooded setting on the water. Definitely would stay here again.

So peaceful

It was so quiet and peaceful. Loved sitting out by the river A couple of our group used the kayaks and enjoyed that. It was so close to our weekend venue. It was ideal. Very clean and neat. We enjoyed a nice campfire and playing games in the yard. Thanks for allowing us to use your beautiful cottage.

Great family vacation

The cottage was lovely. Our girls had a wonderful time playing in the woods, on the swing looking at the river and making s’mores by the campfire. Perfect little getaway. We can’t wait to come back.

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend our time at the cottage, but my wife and two children were. Tammy was very attentive, and everything went smoothly. This is especially important because of the area. Cell phone reception is spotty, and sometimes the phone even shows that you’re roaming from Ontario. So, having someone like Tammy who was super attentive and even made a point of greeting my wife and children was especially nice. Tom

Peaceful and Quiet

Nice house, very clean. Enjoyed the time around the firepit, they even provided wood. Grill, deck area was nice. Nice set up on a private area down by the river. Make sure to bring your own entertainment you can't even get local tv stations on the tv. Gladly enjoyed having no cell service no phone calls or internet.

We had a wonderful time stay at this truly beautiful property. It was very clean and welcoming. Photos do it no justice this place is BEAUTIFUL. Tammy was so knowledgeable and of the surrounding areas of interests. I wish we had stayed longer. Definitely coming back.

Great location, beautiful area. Had a great stay for a little over a week. Property is in a great location, super comfortable, and in perfect condition. All communications and contacts with owner and staff were professional and friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Great weekend away with my fiancee!

I booked a surprise weekend for my fiancee and I. Tammy was great and gave us lots of insight on the area. Very clean place and our dog loved running around outside. We kayaked down the river out to the lake, very beautiful this time of year. Super easy check-in and check-out! Will definitely come again....

Perfect getaway

Have stayed here before love the place....great fishing in sunken lake caught many huge smallies and perch. They are very accommodating and quickly responded when communicating . Was very patient with me when I was having trouble with email/checkin..all my bad I'm not tech savvy so appreciated that a lot. Only complaint theres only 1 queen bed rest were twin and water area is mucky so wear water shoes for sure but not really a big problem and they informed me they were going to try to do something about the area. Def. Would recommend them to friends
