We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay in Drasco. The property was even better than we expected. The owner was very attentive and timely to our questions. The house worked out perfectly for the 10 of us and we would definitely go back.
If you like private and remote, this place is a great option. Beautiful home right on the lake. Newer deck with nice view of lake. We owned a home on north side of Greers Ferry and it was nice to explore the South side of lake. Recommend for family. Having second kitchen in basement work well for our group.
The pictures do not do it justice.
For me, this part of the lake is perfect. Very peaceful. Calm water great for skiing. Quiet coves great for fishing. Everywhere you look is a great place to drop anchor and chill.
Access to the lake and a dock were paramount for us, and this property delivered.
The house was perfect for our group of 10. Plenty of room to socialize and play, as well as allowing a few of us to get away from the larger group for a little private time when we wanted. The deck naturally drew us every morning for coffee and breakfast. The kitchen was well stocked and well used. Every bedroom was comfortable and well appointed.
I hesitate to give too glowing a review because I don’t want the competition when we want to book again next year, but I can’t help but say I love this place.
We were coming from Texas and Georgia so we were looking for a boating lake sorta in the middle. Greer's Ferry Lake caught our eye and sounded promising. It did not disappoint....it is stunning and beautiful. The house provided us what we needed with private sleeping quarters for the kids, parents and grandparents. It will sleep 13 but only if some of the children are able to sleep two to a futon. The cove, which extends about 3/4 of a mile off the main body, is a magnet for house boats, pontoons boats and ski boats to anchor in and spend the day, That did not deter us from skiing in it while teaching the younger kids to ski; water was very smooth. There are some great cliff-jumping sites out of the cove and going right to the next cove; very easy for even the younger kids to climb out of the water and up the cliffs to a variety of accessible heights. Kayaking, canoeing and fishing was also popular. A few cautions: 1. if you are taking a ski boat, the boat launch near the house is steep, winding and difficult to access. We chose to trailer our boat to a park ramp 30 minutes away but only 15 minutes back by boat. We just secured our boat at night to the boat dock at the house; 2. The climb from the boat dock to he house is serious; bad knees, hips or heart should think twice; 3. If you plan on pancakes, bring your own griddle!
House was perfect for two families and was well stocked. 25 minutes or so to groceries. We rented a boat and spent a fun day on the lake during the week cliff jumping and tubing. Would recommend!
There was plenty of room to spread out and everyone do their own thing, while also enough room to gather together to eat a meal or watch a movie. The lake is beautiful, but the path down is not for people with any kind of mobility issues. However, there are accessible beaches at many spots around this huge lake. We enjoyed swimming and floating off the boat dock at the cabin but also took drives to hike to waterfalls, beaches, rope courses and cliff jumping. You are far off the main roads so it is nice and peaceful, we saw many deer. We had a great time, we were surprised when our teenage daughter asked to vacation in Arkansas, but now we can not wait to go back.
Easy to find and very beautiful home. Most definitely will go back to live a peaceful weekend like that. I sure do recommend for anyone who wants to get away for a good time.
We loved our stay in Drasco it was just what we were looking for. Secluded with plenty of activities on site. Liked how private the Greers Ferry Lake cove was during the weekdays. The owners provided plenty of life jacked in a variety of sizes for canoeing, floats for swimming and even some fishing poles we did bring some of our own. The kids were thrilled with the snow cone and ice cream makers. We had our bicycles and enjoyed hilly rides and hiking at Bridal Veil Falls not to far away. The house was spacious for the 10 of us and we benefited from having 2 refrigerators since we did all our own cooking. Would recommend this house on the lake even with the challenging climb to and from the lake.
We arrived very late at night but house was not difficult to find. Check in was easy because owner gave clear instructions. House was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck, grilling, playing games in the living area, swimming at the dock, paddling around in the canoe & kayak, playing horseshoes, and the kids stayed up at night watching movies together. We took a couple of little trips to do some hiking & cliff jumping. I wish we had more time to stay because it was truly relaxing but fun!
We had a great time staying at this location. Did a little fishing off the boat dock and rented a pontoon one day and went out on the lake. Made some wonderful memories.
Our family really enjoyed our nice long weekend at the lake with some family friends and their kids. The house was really nice, very clean and the owner was very easy to work with!
Had a wonderful trip and Matt was extremely helpful.

Great house for a big group
This is a great house for big families or several families. Lots of space and sleeping quarters. Well equipped for a long trip. Lake access is great, but could be hard for some with difficulty going up and down inclines. Located at the end of a beautiful cove with huge bluffs. Boat slip is at the water access and boat ramp is nearby. It's a little tricky getting to the boat ramp, but manageable. Owners are very responsive and helpful. Would definitely rent again.

Very Clean House in a Great Location
The house itself was very clean and maintained. Could be a little better organized but had everything we needed. The recent renovation to downstairs is beautiful. Lake access and location is great and beautiful. But be warned the walk down and back up is very steep. They have tried to develop the trail and added stone steps near the lake but was a little hard on those of us who have arthritic knees. Still the view and the swim are worth it. Really enjoyed our time there and would go again.

Had a blast!
The lake house was perfect for my family of 7 adults and two small children. Beds were comfortable. Strongly recommend renting the pontoon. The lake was beautiful and there was a swimming beach close by or just swim off the side of the pontoon! Secluded and peaceful. Matt was super friendly, great to work with. The path down to the lake is not for the elderly :)

Fantastic House
Extended family and I stayed at this house for a long weekend earlier in August. While it rained quite a bit we found plenty to do. The dock is a short walk away from the house and the water felt great. The house is as advertised, very secluded with comfortable beds and extremely clean. We found games and puzzles to keep kids busy and were able to watch team USA kick some butt in the Olympics. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a larger place to hole up on the lake.

Wonderful week-end with family (Sooo Kid friendly) !!!!!!!
We just returned from Greer's Ferry Lake and our stay at this property. There was some rain over the week-end but
didn't stop the fun. There were 5 pre teen age children in the family and 8 adults. Plenty of room for all. When we were not on the lake the 3 flat screens keep the kids (and adults) entertained, we were able to cheer for the USA in Rio. We plan to return next summer. T Walker

Fantastic!
My family and I, plus my best friend and his kids, rented this wonderful cabin for 3 nights. From the moment we drove up we knew we made the right choice. The cabin is fantastic! Plenty of space. The downstairs basement was wonderful. A second kitchen was really useful. The best part was the pontoon and the lake. The cabin is in a very quiet cove. All 5 kids really enjoyed swimming off the boat dock. We found a cliff to jump off that had a set of stairs, that made the whole trip worth it. The first time you drive to the cabin it feels like it take forever. It's really not that far from two gas stations and a Dollar Gen. I would warn that the trek down to the lake can get a little dicey. The house sets on a hill and the walk trail down to the boat dock and lake is steep. The 3 adults and 5 kids in our group had a no problems. Don't not let that deter you, this place is AWESOME!!
