Ultra Inclusive, Pet Friendly, 5 bedroom executive home with 4 + 1/2 bathrooms on your own, pristine, private lake. 17 Acre property with approximately 4 acres of manicured (fully fenced) grounds that includes a sandy beach (with gradual entry into deeper water), historic log sleeping cabin and beach volleyball / badminton court. Home is perfect for multiple families to share while enjoying their own space. There are satellite TV’s in the master bedroom, upstairs living room, kitchen and downstairs living room in addition to TV's in the main floor living room and workout room that can be used with Roku, DVD’s or a memory stick. **Fully registered and licensed with the Township for vacation rentals.

Soaring ceilings, dream entertaining kitchen, lakefront balcony, large gym / workout room and solid granite dining room table that can easily accommodate up to 12 people.
The rental comes complete with the 14' Water trampoline, 2 paddleboat, 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, 2 Paddle Boards, aluminum fishing boat, fishing rods & tackle, all sports equipment for volleyball and badminton as well as 4 adult mountain bikes and one kids, to ride the local trails.

Our lake is all yours to enjoy. No other boats, noisy sea doos or nosey neighbours, just clean water, great fishing, and fun family times swimming and sun tanning on the beach.
The average depth of the lake is 18', with the deepest areas being up to 35, deep.
The depth off the end of the dock is over 7'.

Plenty of parking space on our property for your boat and trailer, as public boat ramps are located only 10 minutes either away in both Dwight and Dorset. Convenient to enjoy your days boating, skiing, tubing on the famous Lake of Bays. If you don't have a boat, you can arrange daily boat rentals with the local marinas.

A truly, "One of a Kind", year round, family get away located 1/2 way between Dwight, ON and Dorset, ON. General Store, Gas Stations, take out food, restaurants, bakery and pharmacy all within 10 minute drive! So family friendly

Amazing week long stay! Brought my infant, my toddler, fiance, and both grandmas AND the dog! Enough space for more people if wanted & the owner had lots of options for safety for my wild toddler. Lots of gates & a bed for the baby too. Can’t say enough good things. Host was also very understanding when we were 1.5hrs late for check in due to a much needed stop on the way up there for the kids. Will be staying again!

Nice stay for family, including pets

Nice, comfortable house. Well supplied with cookware, dinnerware, etc. It was extra special to have our 1-1/2 year old granddaughter and our pets with us. The former enjoyed the front shallow water and sand beach. Our Labrador liked the lake, but was surprised as it got deep quicker than our lake at home. Books and videos available. Beds and pillows are quite comfortable. Appreciated that the property is fully fenced. The dogs enjoyed the freedom.

The Most Wonderful Family Vacation Ever!

The location of this home is some of the most beautiful in Ontario, and homeowners Rod and Rachel were there to greet us as we drove in the gorgeous road leading up to the beautiful home. Rod gave us all a detailed tour of everything, both inside and outside, and made sure we knew to text if we had any questions at all. The home was beautifully laid out to accommodate our entire adult family, with lots of living space on each floor for living space and quiet time when needed. The home gym was a real hit, with early morning yoga sessions and later evening equipment workouts. There was an amazing selection of DVD movies and board games, and the movie lovers of the family got a lot of enjoyment out of this. The kitchen and pantry were extremely well equipped, with everything needed for cooking gourmet meals. We all love to cook, and enjoyed every minute of time in the kitchen and numerous eating spaces, both outside and inside. Prestine and very private outdoor grounds, with absolutely every activity you could dream of, including biking, volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, and of course all the water activities with kayaks, paddle boards, canoes and fishing. The outdoor fire pit was a beautiful gathering spot each evening, with the chance for good chats and catching up. This was definitely our best family vacation ever, and we can hardly wait to go back next year.

Perfect Summer Get Away

Goose Lake was the perfect summer get away for our family. The owners were extremely helpful leading up to our stay. Once we arrived we realized that they had literally thought of everything. All we needed to do was bring our clothes and food and everything else was already there. The house itself is cozy and well equipped. The lake is calm, the water pristine and the amenities are enough to keep you busy for days. The owners were already available by text or email and happy to provide suggestions for things to do around the area or where to go eat. I would definitely come back if the opportunity arose.

Goose Lake Retreat hosted by R&R

If you are looking for an amazing property for some R&R, hosted by very hands on customer satisfaction driven owners, Goose Lake, owned by Rod and Rachel is the place for you. Our family and friends rented this place for 9 nights starting July 24, 2021. The stay started with custom welcome package for the kids and adults complete with gifts for all the kids and wine and treats from local bakery Henriettas. Then Rod spent an hour of his time ensuring we knew where everything was and how everything worked. Any questions that we had were immediately answered throughout the stay. The property has ample space indoors and outdoors for everyone to be part of the group or find a quiet space to read. The group was excited to catch release some big pike and small mouth bass right off the dock. The variety of boats were a great hit with everyone. The house and pantry were stocked with basic necessities so that you didn't have to bring things like spices, coffee, baking supplies, etc. Some delicious homemade treats were prepared while there. The gym worked out very well for the fitness enthusiasts in the group. Lake of Bays is very close by and was very easy to book sea-doos, pontoon boat and bowrider with tube for a fun-filled day on a bigger lake. The weather was a bummer toward the end of the week but we made the most of it. Steaks, from the Dwight Market, were amazing and the chip truck, Din's, had the best fresh cut fries the group had ever tasted. Any groceries or anything else that you may need could be found at Robinson's General Store in Dorset. Spending quality time with teenage children is a blessing and everyone had a blast. Thank you very much for your hospitality and your desire to exceed customer's expectations!

Wonderful Muskoka Getaway!

Our week-long stay at Goose Lake Lodge was the perfect conclusion to summer 2020. Roderick helped make the booking process a breeze, met us upon arrival, took us on a tour, and answered all our questions. The property was beautiful! Spacious, private, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything our group could possibly need. The cottage itself and quaint log cabin were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed using the paddle boards, kayaks, and all of the boats very much. The sandy beach area was perfect for little ones, and the adults appreciated the deep water off the dock for swimming. There was never a shortage of activities with all of the lawn games, indoor games, sports and gym equipment, and fishing gear provided. We made use of the bikes to explore local trails and enjoyed many evening campfires. The massage chair in the master bedroom was a bonus. The welcome basket was a very thoughtful touch! We are grateful to the hosts, would highly recommend this property, and hope to visit again in the future.

Relaxing Vacation with the Family!

We just came back from a weeks stay at this lovely home. We were greeted by the owner upon arrival and he walked us through everything and also provided some very thoughtful and lovely treats for the kids and the adults. Everything you could possibly need is there - including a gym! Our group consisted of people from ages 1-75 - there was something to do for everyone. The kids enjoyed the paddle boats, water trampoline, playing on the beach and eating s’mores. There were also plenty of activities inside to keep them busy. The adults had a great time - fishing, swimming, and just relaxing - on the deck, on the dock and in the screened porch at night (with a glass of wine :)). The little cabin is also very cute and cosy which some of us used to take a midday nap. An awesome vacation and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime for our family. We would definitely return again! Thank-you!

Week of July 1

Roderick and Rachel were super hosts. The house was spacious and well equipped. As was the outdoors, with paddle boards,canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, water trampoline, bicycles, lawn games etc My family and I had super week. We lucked out the weather. Couldn’t have had a better week. The grandchildren certainly enjoyed the water as did the adults. I certainly would recommend this house for a great vacation. Gertrude Pokoly

This is a very beautiful, private getaway, perfect for a family of all ages!

Our family of 14 enjoyed every minute of this wonderful vacation spot! Roderick and Rachel were very gracious hosts, who went above and beyond. We were provided with a full hands on tour and access to the many amenities at the cottage. They welcomed us with creative gifts for all the children and adults alike. The private lake and the many boats kept everyone very busy. We also had tournaments on the badminton/volleyball court and hiked through a beautiful trail. This cottage has it all and such a peaceful spot to unwind and enjoy nature. We look forward to booking another vacation at this beautiful spot in the near future.

Excellent family vacation location

This private cottage was the perfect getaway for our family, which included 13 adults, two children and our dogs. The owners provided everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and memorable including a fully stocked kitchen with basic pantry staples, toys for the beach (i.e. including canoes, paddle boats, beach volleyballs etc.), exercise room, movies, board games, campfire accessories and more. They really thought of everything needed to make our stay easy and enjoyable! The home was clean and beautifully decorated with large spaces for everyone to gather, as well as private ones for smaller groups to escape to for games or reading. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this cottage to any of our friends and family!

Gorgeous home on a pristine private lake, spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Our extended family had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. Rod and Rachel really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and fun! We were welcomed with a boat load of local specialty treats upon our arrival, including the makings for s’mores for over the outdoor fire pit. Knowing we would have 4 little boys with us, we found a treasure chest of age appropriate toys and supplies thoughtfully left just for them. There was plenty of room for our large group, and the kitchen was well supplied with all cooking tools needed and more. There was also an excellent stock of spices and pantry items available, which was nice. The super star of this property is the beautiful, clean lake with ALL water craft right there at the water’s edge. We used every boat there, and there were plenty of life jackets for anyone wanting one. There are bicycles for exploring the many mountain and lake trails, and the wonderful massage chair in the master bedroom was a popular spot for every family member! Rod even arranged a private bike tour for us with a neighbor friend who knows the trails! We loved this place, and the memories made at Goose Lake will last a lifetime for our family, ranging in ages from 18 months old to 78 years young! Hope we can visit again in the future!

Absolutely amazing!

This property was perfect! We were a group of 14 adults and there was more than enough room to sleep all of us comfortably. It was clean and very spacious. We spent most of our time outside fishing off the dock, swimming, playing beach volleyball and having bonfires at night. Contacting Roderick and Rachael with and questions before and during our stay was quick and easy. The best thing about this place was the privacy though! Waking up to a private lake and no noise of neighbors was priceless. Hoping to make this a yearly getaway!

We are a professional couple from Toronto. Our time at the lake is spent enjoying nature, outdoor sports, reading, painting, fishing and just spending quiet time together.
On the occasions that our rather large extended family gets together, Goose Lake Lodge is the perfect venue for multiple families to enjoy together, while still maintaining a degree of personal space.

Why they chose this property

We had always dreamed of having our own private lake.
The peace and tranquility we found at this property (we call Goose Lake Lodge) is heaven. We also fell in love with the history of this property. It had been owned by the same family since the 1800's and was a commercial saw mill up until the mid 1900's. The barn that is still on the property was built in the early 1900's as a workshop of the sawmill and serves as our current day workshop.
