One of the things I am personally concerned about when I rent a room is..."Is it Clean?"
Please review the Reviews on that aspect. It is very important to me that the Condo you walk into is clean and welcoming from the moment you open the door.
Like the previous owner, my wife and I consider this property our second home and discreetly offer it to renters seeking a clean, well-furnished, condo that offers comfort, value and a memorable vacation experience. Our expectation is that you will put yourselves in our place and appreciate, respect and care for the furnishings and unit accordingly. We have attempted to create a vacation destination that you will want to plan to return to time and again.
Daytona Beach Shores is a charming, friendly, oceanfront community located on the barrier island directly south of Daytona Beach, Florida which is located on Florida's Central East Coast, about 50 miles and an hour's drive from many popular theme parks and other favorite tourist destinations. Just 5.5 miles long, the town features the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway on the west. Residents and visitors alike take advantage of the pristine sandy beach and beautiful blue-green waters - whether for sunrise walks or bicycling, frolicking in the sand and surf, or enjoying the quiet solitude of the setting sun.
Costs you can expect in a rental of this unit…
-Rate x Nights (current rate … $1xx x Number of nights.)
-Cleaning Fee - $50.00 per stay (one half of the charge to us from our cleaning contractor)
-Admin Loss Fee - $39 per stay. Administrative Fee is a non-refundable Limited Damage Waiver.
-State of Florida Rental Occupancy Tax (paid to VRBO direct pass-thru to State of Florida)
-VRBO Handling Fee (charged by VRBO as a % of the stay)…(they charge you as well as me)
Please note that during the summer "in-season" period (May - August), we only rent on a Saturday to Saturday basis, 7 day, 14 day, or 21 days. See below for further information on Season and Off-season bookings. No bookings for LESS THAN 7 DAYS are allowed per Condo Association by-laws.
Come and enjoy this exceptional 6th floor condo that includes many recent (2017) improvements as follows: new water heater, new entry door, new bar-height balcony furniture, new LR and MBR shades, new master bath shower door, new dining table light fixture, new LR lamps, new decorative accessories and rugs, and new bedding. In addition, we installed new washer and dryer (3/19). The unit has two bedrooms, 2 full baths, large living room, dining area, bar area, a fully equipped kitchen and a private laundry room with full size washer and dryer. The south facing private balcony offers beautiful ocean and river views. In 2022 we removed the old sofa, replacing it with a small sectional sofa with 2 reclining positions in the sofa.
Because HOA Regulations require at least 7 day stays, the Standard Rentals during the SUMMER season (May 15 - Aug 31) are Saturday to Saturday (7 Nights…..though 14 or 21 or 28 day rentals can be accommodated, but still Saturday to Saturday). The Saturday to Saturday is a hard limitation. There are no exceptions. The condominium is in high demand during this period, so this arrangement best accommodates all those looking for a vacation unit during those months.
Accommodations can be made for more than 7 or more day stays of any stay period after September 1, until the following May 15. Contact me if interested in more than 7 day stays during off-season. Month long rentals (1st to 31st) are possible, and encouraged, in the off season (September-May) at the standard rental rate. This unit does rent well, so if planning an off season month long rental, make plans early and contact me as soon as you are able to make your commitment.
The master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV/Cable, a private full bathroom with walk in shower, and large 8 feet sliding glass doors opening onto the spacious balcony.
The Second Bedroom has a queen bed, a large closet, flat screen TV/Cable, private full bathroom (Tub/Shower Combo),
The Living, Dining Room area is a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the view. Included are a 45 inch flat screen TV/Cable and DVD Player, and a nice small sectional sofa with built in recliners to enjoy the experience. The television has basic cable, but there is an extra HDMI port if you bring your own HDMi cables with your Chromecast, Fire Stick, or Ruku (Just remember to unhook it and take it back with you before you leave). The floor to ceiling glass doors that open wide to the surrounding spacious private balcony provide for beautiful Ocean and River Views.
The Kitchen is light, bright and fully equipped. Everything you need is provided: microwave, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator toaster, coffee maker, blender, air fryer, dishes, silverware, utensils, crock put, cookware, and a small refrigerated bottle wine chiller for those that appreciate a fine glass of wine on the balcony - and the Publix Grocery store is conveniently located just down the street.
100% non-smoking unit - no smoking allowed anywhere in the unit including the balcony. If you are smokers, this is not the unit for you! Smoking is allowed by the pool and exterior areas.
Guests must be at least 27 years of age or older to reserve this unit and this guest must occupy unit for the entire rental period.
Please note…the building is undergoing renovations. The good news is the side of the building this unit is on will be free and clear of any construction as of May 15. The ocean facing side of the building will be undergoing renovation construction until April. Some noise can be expected during the day from that front side. There is 1 designated parking space for one car in the garage. The parking deck alongside the building will be closed until April 2024. Additional vehicles will need to park offsite nearby. The Lobby office might be able to offer suggestions upon registration.
