About this property

Lakeside Bungalow 30 feet from the water

This charming 2 bedroom cottage couldn't be any cozier, and has one of the best waterfronts on the lake. Relax on either the open-air deck or the enclosed porch and view the beautiful, stretching views of Skaneateles Lake, especially when the sun sets. Just steps from your front door is a (sometimes)bubbling brook that runs along the property and the creekside garden. Being almost at the dead end of the road, it is quiet from traffic. The woods behind the cottage give it a real rustic feel.

Skaneateles is the 2nd cleanest lake in the country and the village, 15 minutes away, couldn't be any more quaint. The village has great restaurants if you don't feel like a having a cookout.

NO PARTIES , NO EVENTS, NO REUNIONS! They are strictly prohibited.

Respect for my neighbors is anticipated.

The cottage is located on the coveted east side of the lake, just 15 minutes from the quaint village of Skaneateles. This ideal location gives you both the seclusion of an Adirondack atmosphere while still offering the proximity to grocery stores, charming shops, and plenty of a variety of restaurants.

One bedroom has a queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom as a trundle bed with 2 single beds.

Amenities: wifi, tv, gas grill, 2 kayaks, fully equipped kitchen. Some towels-you may want to bring additional. Linens are included.

No large gatherings. No parties, no events!

Very relaxing. Loved being right on the water.

The cottage had everything we needed. The owner was readily available via text for any questions or concerns. The setting was peaceful and the lake was gorgeous. We looked forward to the beautiful sunsets each evening. It was close enough to the village that anything we needed was only a short trip away. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and we are hoping to return again at some point in the future.

Tina's Castle

Tina has crafted a little piece of paradise directly on one of the most beautiful bodies of water in the world and she doesn't stop there. She welcomed us, guided us through the property while explaining anything and everything. Then she left us alone while checking on us via text message so we weren't interrupted by phone calls and visits. The cottage was fantastic, the setting magnificent, the host was superb and our visit could not have been better. We're looking forward to our return! Thank you, Tina!

Outstanding!

My sister and I had a wonderful time. This cozy cottage has spectacular views of the lake from almost every room. It is private and quiet. Breathtaking sunsets. Tina was always available and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Brochures and maps were provided. We kayaked and hiked and visited wineries and the village. But couldn’t wait to return to the peaceful cottage at the end of the day. Thank you Tina!

Relaxing and Comfortable

Sunsets are incredible! Beautiful lake views and wonderful home so close to the water. The water is very clear. A truly relaxing and peaceful bungalow. The owner, Tina, is very helpful and down to earth. Skaneateles is about 15 minutes north and has quaint shops and restaurants, etc. My husband and his friend played golf at Vesper Hills. They said it was a nice course and about a 20 minute drive.

What a fantastic place

Tina is an awesome host and our only regret is that we didn’t book for a longer stay. Photos don’t do this place justice.

Perfect Location

Beautiful and very well maintained property. The lake is right out the front door. No crazy staircase like so many of the rentals along Skaneateles Lake. The owner was welcoming and very accessible for questions. Fiona and Annabelle had a wonderful canine vacation.

Beautiful Skaneateles getaway

Perfect location for an amazing quiet getaway at the most beautiful place in the world! The cottage is accurately described (but kitchen is actually bigger and nicer), comfy bedrooms and views of the lake from almost every spot inside. Thank you for being a gracious hostess and providing EXCELLENT recommendations on what to do/where to eat! Tina left details for everything (tv, WiFi, etc) and touched base to make sure we were not having any issues or questions. The gardens and grassy area was a pleasant surprise -the water and views were perfect :) thank you for exactly what we hoped for -we can’t wait to book our dates and come back again next year 💕

Charming Lake Cabin

We had a very relaxing time at the Lakeside cabin. The cabin is as advertised, right on the lake front. Our family enjoyed sitting on the porch, jumping into the lake to cool off, and kayaking. The sunsets were breathtaking. The week flew by and we had a restful vacation. Just what we needed before the school year. Thanks Tina.

John d., Where do you live?

Even Better Than Advertised

We were very happy with our rental experience. Tina (the owner) was very helpful answering questions and providing directions down to the cottage. The cottage is very private and directly on the lake. There are water views from every room in the cottage, with almost 270 degrees of lakefront to look at. You can sit on the deck and view different parts of the lake in front of you, to your left, and also to the right through the house. A small brook runs down the side of the property, and the sound of the water is very relaxing. A working indoor fireplace adds to the country experience. The town has many restaurants and shopping choices. I highly recommend this rental.

Cozy quaint cottage with beautiful grounds.

This is a unique property on Skaneateles lake because it is right on the water. The lake is literally at your front door, and the there is just enough beach & grass for swimming and games. The dock and mooring were perfect for our boat. The cottage came with two kayaks which my wife fell in love with. The cottage itself is very homey and comfortable, with a full kitchen and great areas for relaxing. The owner Tina, was very attentive and added some nice welcome goodies that our son very much appreciated as well as other surprises that added to the enjoyment of our stay. Sometimes it's just the little things, and Tina knows how to play host to her beautiful cottage. We would recommend this to anyone, and hope to return next year for another visit.

Hidden gem--so glad we found it!

My husband and I stayed here for his graduation weekend from Syracuse for his online Master’s degree. We stayed four nights. We wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful, away from the drunken college life in the town of Syracuse. It’s about 40 min away. This cabin is beautiful! We built a fire in the indoor fireplace quite a few nights. Everything was silent—we didn’t see a single person or hear a single noise (except some quacking ducks!) AT ALL while on the property. Photos do not do it justice. The lake is basically the backyard of the property. There’s a hammock, picnic table, and outdoor firepit, as well as some kayaks. It had everything we hoped for. Indoors, everything was clean, spacious. Even though this cabin is in the middle of nature, we did not find ONE SIGNLE bug indoors, which I thought was amazing. The beds were comfortable, and we liked having a full kitchen in case we wanted to cook. Tina thought of everything—a basket of snacks on the table, fresh jugs of water in the fridge, and even freshly baked cookies upon arrival! She also left us lots of brochures and information about hiking, restaurants, and local things to do. She also said we could text her any time in case we thought of questions about where things were located in the house, where we should eat, etc., and it was great that she was so responsive! On top of all that, my husband accidentally left a dress shirt hanging up in one room when we left, and she mailed it back to us at no charge! We had a great time, and are already planning a visit back to Tina’s cabin for fall next year. This place is truly a hidden gem.

About the host

I love to hear about the guests enjoyment after their visit. It's a special little cottage right on the beach with spectacular views of the sunset.

Why they chose this property

The cottage is right on the beach-no stairs to the water! Acres of woods edge the private road.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is situated on the beach so that you have a panoramic view of the lake. The sunsets are fabulous as you get a full view. Even rainstorms are fun to watch. Look at the north end and maybe you see the sun at the same time you view a double rainbow at the south end.
