The house was really nice and spacious as pictures suggest.
Now for some downsides...there was not a toaster and lacked other important kitchen items. The upstairs bathroom was in need of an upgrade to the shower. There was chipping on the handles and stains on the shower walls. Pillows in the master bedroom are terrible.
If it weren't for these issues the stay would've been perfect, because as I said, the house was really nice.

Overall, the house is nice with enough space for a family of 5. The rating is low for a few important reasons.
Safety - The bannister to the upstairs is NOT secure and for anyone who needs support going up the stairs this is an issue.
Communication - The communication with the owner was very disappointing. I texted him to ask how to enter the property instead of getting an email with instructions as stated in the listing. I texted and asked one question during our stay and no response. we did not receive an email with check out procedures.
Misleading - the pool advertised in the listing as an amenity is not close to the property and is not included in the price.
This property was the central "home base" for us to visit various destinations in the area. The home was comfortable and more than spacious enough for our family of 4. The inside was as pictured in the listing. The kitchen had everything we needed. However, we only prepared and/or are breakfast and lunch at the house. We did not use any of the outside deck or fire pit, or community amenities for this trip but certainly might in the future.
They biggest con for us was that there were no working outside lights near the front door. This made it uncomfortable and difficult to enter an unfamiliar house, using a small unlit keypad lock after dark. Further one of our kids tripped and fell because they could not see well. If you keep a flashlight or mobile phone handy, it will be fine.
Our experience with this property was incredibly disappointing. We found the home unacceptable and vacated the property within an hour of arrival after sending house pictures to and speaking with the owner. We immediately noticed an odor as soon as we entered the home. The floors appeared unswept and not mopped or adequately vacuumed as evidenced by millipedes, objects, and dirt on the floor. The walls and carpets were dirty and stained. Window blinds throughout the house were broken and covered in what appeared to be mold. There were dark marks on the ceilings and walls that appeared to be consistent with roof rafter lines and wall studs. The refrigerator smelled. The open pantry cupboard shelves, kitchen cupboard doors, and walls were grimy, worn, and unwashed. The downstairs bathroom shower was dirty. The upstairs bathroom toilet seat was covered in a green film that had a mold like appearance and the shower did not appear clean. The queen bed in the upstairs bedroom was broken and had stained bedding.
The living room furniture had acorns, debris, and what appeared to be mouse droppings under the cushions.
The outdoor furniture was torn, dirty, had burn marks and was unusable. The outside of the house was covered with an algae, mold, or moss like substance.
I struggled with the decision to write this review but found many of the past reviews inconsistent with the house we saw. Thank you Camelback Resort and Pocono Mountain Villas for meeting our lodging needs in a pinch.
Pro: there is a nice restaurant called Jubilee close by which we ate at frequently because the kitchen in the house was disgusting and unusable.
Cons:
*Everything* was dirty, outdated and not at all like the photos. The walls, cupboards, light switches, closets, showers were all disgusting. The actual outside of the house is covered in green mold and looks disgusting.
Kitchen: was the opposite of fully stocked. It was filthy. Anything that was available was broken/ old/nasty. We had to make our bagels in the oven because there wasn’t a toaster. We were told on the way there the microwave had just been broken, but there was a review from a long time ago saying the same thing. There were no cleaning supplies to clean anything. Broken blinds throughout the entire house.
The deck: all the deck chairs were broken (we were told about on the way there). The view of trees in the backyard was from 9+ years ago before a house was built, which is now abandoned and nasty looking. The house is surrounded on three sides by a busy roads. It’s not peaceful at all. Also, there is nothing within walking distance and you wouldn’t want to walk anyway.
The best thought was the 10+ bags of dog feces and garbage left on the deck next to the door.
Bedrooms: broken closet doors. A STRANGERS SHIRT on the floor in the master bedroom!!!
Safety: windows were left open and unlocked.
The host ghosted me when I started complaining about theses things, and still hasn’t responded
The inside was very clean and very nicely decorated, and we have plenty of room. The downside was I was unaware that there was no outdoor furniture because it was all broken and the owner said she was waiting for them to come in to be fixed but I didn't find out Until we were on our way there on that date
Home is very dirty. Lots of broken items including screen door, microwave foor (meaning we couldnt use the microwave which would have been ok if we knew it wasnt available when we were planning food), chairs on deck and around fire pit were ripped. The property description said amenities in the community were available to us (pools, community center, beach, tennis court) but when we went to use them we were told there was a 20 dollar per person per day charge. Very disappointing. So much potential for this home if it were cleaned and maintained.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our time here (at what I’ve come to call - special place). There was plenty of things in the area for everyone to enjoy and the property manager was incredibly responsive. We definitely look forward to coming here again!
This house was perfect for our party of 8 plus one pup. It had plenty of room and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. It's centrally located and we took advantage of the indoor pool which was a nice amenity to have. Will definitely stay here again.
Heating was deficient, temp setting was manipulated remotely, night temp dropped to 67 degree. Absolutely no water force thru upstairs Shower head in common bathroom. Shower Heads in Master bath down stairs needs to be replaced. Bad showers and no heat during entire stay.

Good potential, some room for improvement
The place itself is nice, we really enjoyed the location and the layout. However, there were few things that we had to address with the host.
The kitchen, bathroom and generally the house itself weren’t cleaned when we first arrived. The host did offer the cleaning services to come back the next day but we were not really comfortable as we have already unpacked and had a small child with us.
The outside patio furniture should be replaced as some of the chairs were ripped and the table is not in the best condition. The grill was very dirty and we ended up going to the store as soon as we arrived to buy a new brush. We recommend you bring one with you.
One thing to note is the garbage situation. There are no cans on site. The guests are responsible for taking it out. You actually need to drive to a recycling site about 10 minutes away. Not a big issue but the site is only open few days a week. That wasn’t really clear in the house description (unless I missed it). Something to keep in mind.
Overall, we had a nice stay but we would have preferred if the place was properly cleaned before we got there.
This house was perfect for our family get together. Plenty of space and nice layout. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the pots, dishes and lots of other items needed. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time here. Christina is a very responsive owner. Thank you Christina!
Nice home with nice decor. The house was very comfortable & we enjoyed the layout, and the outdoor fire pit.
The amenities were a bit expensive, I could not find a toaster, and the master would be nice to have a tv.
The owner kept in touch which is always a plus.
This property has been grossly misrepresented. Upon arrival we discovered that the indoor pool was closed for renovations as was the clubhouse bar and grill. We were never notified. One of the lakes was closed as well due to a high bacterial count. It was closed well in advance of our stay. We were never notified. There was no information provided about the community so we had to find that information on our own. Indoors: the microwave door was cracked and glued together, the dryer seal was broken making it difficult to dry clothes while lint collected on the door, cabinets and pantry were too dirty to put food in, the oven needed to be cleaned, and black mold grew in the shower. Outdoors: we were greeted by a house in desperate need of a power washing, bags of ice melt with one open wrapper discarded by the stairs, ripped patio furniture, a bug repellent candle with a smelly old cigar butt in it, grease and black soot on the back of the house. Finally, and the worst, was the most disgusting grill we had ever seen. We had to advise guests who were supposed to share our vacation not to come. We managed to live there for a week. We stayed only until we were sure our money for a future stay at the same property was posted to our account and we could make other travel arrangements. We have filed our concerns with VRBO including photos to support them. The reviews of this property, in our opinion, have misrepresented the condition of the house.
The house is beautiful, the area gorgeous, and our stay very refreshing. Any comment I might have is minor - the patio chairs are aging, there was no toaster, and we could only find one kitchen towel. As constructive criticism, I think something to welcome guests with some instructions would be nice, like where the office is, how to get pool passes, where and when to dispose of trash, etc.
With that said, it was a nice stay that our family needed very much.
