Great stay at the Burnsville Cottage. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed for our party of four. The views from the deck were amazing. We would highly recommend this property.

Great house very quiet

We stayed at this great little house while we moved our daughter into a university close by. It was very well appointed, very clean and very quiet. We enjoyed being outside, looking at the views and having the fireplace on.

A great long weekend

We loved our stay. The mountain view was wonderful. The driveway is a bit challenging, which I think should be mentioned in the property description. Otherwise, everything was fantastic!

Private and Peaceful

If you are looking for a private mountain cabin with a large deck and beautiful view this home fits the bill. The kitchen is nicely equipped and there is an assortment of books, movies and games available. But we drive a full size pickup truck and navigating the sharp hairpin turns to access the property is challenging. We ended up backing into the long driveway because it was so difficult to turn in. We had to do a three point turn to get out. Our only other concern was lack of comfortable seating in the living room. To make up for that there was plenty of seating on the spacious deck and dining room table for game playing. Overall, it is a nice place and we did enjoy our stay.

The house was clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped. The views were awesome and very peaceful. The road and driveway are not for the faint of heart. Go slowly and arrive during daylight.

Our stay was really wonderful. The house was very clean and all the supplies we needed. The view was amazing, and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck and being in fresh air with a little breeze. The town of Burnsville is very nice and a beautiful town to walk through all the shops. Thank you for opening up your home to us.

From the moment we entered the house, it felt & smelt like home. The house was very clean & welcoming. The fresh aroma was astounding. Shout out to the clean up crew & owner. I loved every bit of it. The sliding exit doors in every room was the best. The house was home ready where we didn't need to leave for a thing. The huge patio & view was heaven on earth! Peace surrounds that home. Amazing cabin for an amazing vacation

As many other reviews have indicated, it's a Million Dollar View, perfect. We even got a light snow to top it all off. The cabin is well appointed and well cared for. We didn't need to bring anything but our food and personal items, everything else is there. Yes it has little quirks as all cabins do, that's part of the charm of a cabin in the mountains. Every cabin tells its own fascinating story. Abra the owner was excellent with communication and very accommodating, went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied.

Peaceful Retreat

This small cabin near Burnsville has some of the nicest views imaginable from the very large deck. This is our second stay at this property and we were looking forward to enjoying the views and the peace and quiet of the location. The view was different this time because of the haze and smoke from the Canadian wildfires, but it was still interesting and lovely. The two bedrooms have amazing views of the mountains across the way that can be enjoyed while lying in bed. Our stay was short but very enjoyable and I hope to return in the future.

Everything was as described. Very peaceful and quiet cabin. Great amenities. Little maintenance and freshen up could really make the house shine. The road to the cabin is narrow and steep. Recommend caution and definitely arriving before dark if you are not use to that type of terrain.

Amazing View!

We really enjoyed our stay at Black Mountain Sky. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and felt like home. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook meals, but the best part of the house was the huge deck! We could sit out there for hours taking in the amazing view. Just stunning!

The views were great. Patio was the best part of the stay. Lots of options to sit on, enjoy view, and have a fire. Amenities were there as stated. We both struggled with congestion and once we left house it cleared up. I stayed in back bedroom and it was not as clean as I would prefer. Netflix we had to reset every 7 minutes. VRBO site would not allow me to all questions needed for hosts. This delayed our departure. Also, filled dishwasher although no detergent to run it. Again great views. Weather was pretty nice so we were able to use 2 out of 4 nights!

An amazing place with an even better view!

We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. We stayed with another couple (all in our mid-20s) and had a blast! Burnsville and Asheville are a nice distance away, not too far but far away enough to enjoy the serenity of the wildlife. There is a herd of over 30 deer living near the cabin. We saw them all grouped together on the sports fields you pass when you drive in. There were a couple of mornings we woke up and were greeted by a few deer. Luckily we read the reviews on the parking, so just be careful when driving in, but we had no issues. I think the only thing that we noticed was that there are ladybug carcasses in a lot of places (around games, on the box fan, and on the window unit). That was the only issue we found. They provide plenty of firewood - which was fantastic! We were expected to visit when it was going to be very cold, and because of this a pipe burst before our arrival. The hosts were great about being transparent with the issues and giving us plenty of notice. We both worked out solutions, but in the end, they managed to have a plumber come out before we arrived. The house is beautiful, and the beds are extremely comfortable. I also like how they keep kitchen staples in there and don't toss the spices/non-perishable food. Someone had left unopened smores items, and we loved that! We purchased more, and also left behind the unopened products. By far one of the best places I have rented.
