Entire, private, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a 1970s retro aesthetic. Less than 2 miles from I-20, yet the home feels like it is in the country due to its large, beautiful yard. A full kitchen is available as well as items necessary for small children such as a highchair, pack-and-play, and stroller.

Uniquely decorated home with a 70s retro-style. Three bedrooms, two baths, all available for guests. Includes WiFi and more.

Master bedroom has its own bathroom and includes a Queen size bed, a large closet, and a chest of drawers. An alarm clock, iron, and ironing board are available for use. The bathroom has a bath/shower combination with double sinks. Towels and other toiletries available.

Guest bedroom has a full size bed with a night stand, lamp, and full linen set; it would sleep two.

Second guest bedroom has a twin bed with a night stand, lamp, and full linen set; it would sleep one. There is a air mattress with pump available in chest of drawers in this room.

Pack and play, stroller, and high chair available in Master bedroom closet.

Game room has many vintage games in cabinets including Aggravation, Quadominoes, Dominoes, Scrabble, Checkers, Backgammon, cards, puzzles, and much more.

Dining room table can sit six. The leaf for the table is in the hall closet.

Bathroom in the hallway is a full bath with a double sink and bath/shower combination.

Cute, retro living room has a large TV with sling . Chromecast is available for mirroring devices including laptops, cell phones, and tablets to play various applications such as YouTube and Netflix.

Full kitchen with toaster, electric stove, oven, blender, microwave, refrigerator, cooking utensils, pots and pans.

Washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets.

Outdoor areas include a front porch, back screened-in porch, and outdoor seating area.

Please do NOT use the fireplace!

Nice Place

This was very convenient to the base. All items worked as they should and the home was clean. The screened back porch was an added benefit and very nice. This is not a professional property management company, which was fine. It was like staying at your auntie's house for a couple nights. Very comfortable. The retro feel almost makes you feel like a kid again! Great games and kind owner - lots provided as she is opening up a home, not just a house. Thank you for letting us stay with you!

Our hostess Valerie was at the property when we arrived and she was very welcoming and gracious. The accommodations were outstanding, with all the amenities including a washer/dryer. Location was close to Augusta.

Family reunion

I absolutely loved this house. We have family very close by and wanted to not stay in a hotel. It was so spacious and perfect for our weekend trip. It brought back family memories of going to my father’s and grandparents homes. She is a fantastic host down to the smallest details. When you think southern hospitality this is the place. I would recommend this to anyone needing something in this area! We will be back in the future for more family events if it’s still an option.

Wonderful house and host

This was a delightful experience. Our host was always quick to respond to any questions we had. She also took the time to leave us some fresh fruit for when we checked in, which was happily devoured by our preschooler. The house was exactly as described/shown. The kitchen had lots of appliances, pans, dishes, and even spices for cooking. The beds were comfortable, and the AC kept us cool. The neighborhood is very quiet and close to several great restaurants. I highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the CSRA.

A hidden retro gem.

It literally reminds me of my old apartment in the '70s. Everything about the house and the nostalgia was perfect. If you're looking for modern and upbeat, keep looking. If you're looking for nostalgia and that retro feel, this is the place for you. Property is set back and quiet. Very peaceful setting. I would definitely stay here again.

Another great stay!

This was our second visit to this charming Retro property and it was just as wonderful as the first! Valerie has worked very hard to maintain the authentic integrity of the property, so you feel like you are stepping back into the 1970's, yet you have the necessary modern conveniences such as a Smart TV and WIFI. The location is perfect because you are close enough to attractions but set back on a wooded lot so you feel close to nature and apart from the busy pace of life. We look forward to our next visit!

Another Wonderful Stay!

This is our second stay at this cozy home! We loved it last year and couldn't wait to return. My two children (12 & 15) love the outdoor areas and having space to hang out in the evenings. We love the 70's theme and enjoy the attention to detail. Our host, Valerie, is amazing! She checks in to make sure everything is okay, provides fresh fruit and bottled water upon arrival, and is easy to communicate with if we have any questions. We appreciate the hospitality and comfort! We look forward to staying again next time we visit the area. Thank you again!

Wooded Oasis in the midst of Augusta

We had a wonderful stay in this quaint, retro home! Valerie was very welcoming and communicative, we had absolutely everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the towels were nice, there were plenty of toiletries to keep you more than comfortable. There is one SmartTV in the main living space and you can utilize your favorite streaming service with your login. We came with our pre-teen children and they said the WIFI was great! There is no dishwasher (I did not realize that upon booking) but I cooked dinner every night we were there and it was zero issue, plenty of dishes, silverware, cups, and hand-washing was not a problem for us. The lot is heavily wooded, serene and peaceful - we saw a lot of wildlife in the yard - yet you are incredibly close to everything you could possibly need from "civilization". We look forward to our next visit!

Truly for mountaineers

If you have difficulties with stairs, this is NOT the place for you. I think it would be uncomfortable in any extreme temperature-hot or cold. SUPER friendly hosts. Not as private/isolated as we thought. This is an entire retreat compound and most cabins have views of other cabins but there are secluded places around the property. There’s NO cell service (for Verizon at least) for about a 10-30 mile radius (depending on direction) from the cabin. Also NO GAS STATIONS so gas up. We now know that when our car gets below zero miles left to empty, it then says “refuel” 🤣🤣. We had a lot of fun, just some things to know before you go. We’d love to return and maybe someday have a bunch of people to go with when the rest of the cabins are done and event center is ready. Look forward to keeping in touch with the hosts and following progress!!

A wonderful hidden gem

My family’s stay at Ms. Valerie’s property was nothing short of amazing! We are repeat guests, and each time we have stayed has been lovely. My parents walked in to fresh fruit on the table, bottled water in the fridge, and a lovely, spacious property where they felt like they were right at home! It’s such a beautiful and vintage home to stay in with adorable nods to the 70s. The property itself is spacious with lots of land to walk around on and two beautiful porches to sit on, one of them being screened in! We will stay here again and again simply because of how lovely Ms. Valerie is!

Hello! My name is Valerie McKagen and I have been a resident of the Central Savannah River Area for over 30 years. I live on a quiet road in Columbia County, the same road in which you will be staying on should you decide to rent from me. It's a beautiful area, convenient, yet quiet. It's right in the middle of everything, but feels like you're in the country! I have a passion for dogs, specifically Belgian Sheepdogs. As you can tell from my picture, I own a show them. I enjoy gardening, playing Pokemon (yes, believe it or not), spending time with family, and caring for my dogs.

Why they chose this property

If you need a place that's convenient to I-20 and all that the CSRA offers, yet would like some peace and quiet, this home is for you. The yard is beautiful and huge. Sit on the front porch, or on the screened-in back porch and enjoy the countryside, forgetting that you're right in the middle of the city.

The home sleeps six and children are welcome.

What makes this property unique

This home is retro-styled. Groovy, right? However, that won't take away from the comfort it provides. Have the whole place to yourself and enjoy.
