The house was just perfect, spacious rooms and gorgeous gardens. Interiors rustic, but not twee, and beautiful decor ( espescially loved the photos and paintings and was inspired to buy a book of John Hooton's work) All mod cons and a view to die for across the green fields and rolling hills of this stunning area of Eire. Our host, Joe, was attentive and warm to any requests or questions we pestered him with, and easy to reach. The sadness I felt on leaving was testament to the homliness we felt during our stay, would thoroughly reccomend.
The house was wonderful in every way!
We loved our stay.

About the host
Hosted by Joe Durkan
Myself and my wife Noreen own this property. It is the fulfillment of a dream which we have shared for many years
Why they chose this property
This is our second home located in a place which we have a deep affection for, the Dingle peninsula. My wife Noreen was born right beside Dingle Harbour and I have spent many summers here in my youth. The house is very special to us as it was old and in need of extensive repair when we bought it first in 2006. We are proud to have restored the 150 year old stone walls of the cottage thus preserving an essential piece of local vernacular architecture, which is disappearing all to quickly from the Irish landscape, sadly.
What makes this property unique
Staying here is to walk back in time to mid 19th Century rural Ireland and get a real sense of what it was like to have lived then but without the hardships!
