Beautiful condo!

The convenience of the parking on the same floor as the condo was awesome!! It was so nice not having to lug everything up and down elevators. The location was absolute prime with so many restaurants and activities within walking distance. We parked the car on day of check-in and didn’t move it until we checked out. The condo was absolutely stunning! Loved the homey feel and touches to the unit opposed to renting a room through the hotel. The unit was so much nicer in person than in the pictures, I feel like they do not do justice! Everyone was so friendly too! If we venture back to Panama, we will 💯 be booking this room again! Perfection! Lovely hosts too!

Disappointed at the Shores of Panama

12 years have passed since our last visit to the Shores of Panama of which we stayed there 15 years ago too. This time, July 2023 our condo was so dirty, broken dishes, dirty bathroom, no toilet paper, no laundry detergent, terrible elevator issues and garage issues. So many complaints from other visitors plus July 1-5 there were very large crowds of kids infront of the Shores on the beach chanting, swaying, causing disturbances and getting arrested. Hours of sirens and police activity nightly while we wanted to enjoy a glass of wine on the patio looking at the ocean. The fridge was great and the view was great. There was a continuous yelling across the condos of Marco Polo- young kids screaming g back and forth from all sides for hours to where being on the patio also was not fun. Our Beloved PCB has gone way down hill and we will not go back and are very sad about that.

Low security jail

Checking in felt like jail. Walking down the corridor felt like a cell block. Waking through the door to the condo was a complete transformation. The view was awsome and besides the aged furniture the condo was great. Everything we needed and more. We loved this condo. Location was great!

Fall Break Vaca!

2nd time staying at Shores of Panama. This time was no different than last. Just an excellent stay. If I had to nit pick. The master bath shower head could be different maybe a little more pressure. Other than that 0 issues. As far as parking and elevators. Just be nice and patient. No need to rush ur on vacation!

Look elsewhere

The condo itself was fairly nice, however, the parking deck is absolutely absurd. Barely any room to pass other cars as you turn between levels and at busy times you will sit in your car trying to get out of the deck for an hour at least. There aren’t enough elevators to accommodate all the guests. Wait times are ridiculous! We won’t stay here again.

5 star room/1 star parking and elevator

We stayed in room 1113 and the room itself is great! It was clean and had a very homey feel. The balcony is pretty private overall and the view is amazing! If I only had to rate the room it would be 5 stars across the board however the parking and elevator situations are about a 1 or 2 star. If you drive a truck or large suv it's probably best to park across the street. You have young teenagers that think they have to fly up and down the garage and there's barely enough room to pass another vehicle in the turns. If you happen to be able to fit into your reserved parking space I hope the car next to you knows how to park or you will have a hard time getting into yours. The elevators (6 for the entire complex) are packed unless it's 9am or 11pm. The wait time for the elevators are anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. Like I said, our room was amazing but we will probably never stay there again due to the dangerous parking garage and never ending elevator issues.

Only good for people who want to party

The room was very clean and I had no issues there. Of the 7 days that I stayed there four of the days the elevators were broke. To get from your room to the pool could take 35 minutes or more. The parking garage was a nightmare It is too small for two cars to fit at the same time around the curves and sometimes it would take you 15 or 20 minutes just to get out of the parking garage. Now for the worst part. people were screaming and hollering and playing five different types of music as loud as they possibly could this went on all night long security will not do anything about it unless you know the exact room number where the music is coming from. The hot tub is right next to the bar so it is always overfilled with drunk college kids and drunks. Had to use the inside hot tub which was still crowded but at least we could get in it. The indoor pool is not heated at least not what I think of is heated I could not get in it as it was way too cold. It was so bad there We left a day early because I hadn't slept in 2 days because of the screaming and music.

Nice unit and property

Overall, we had a very nice stay, was just the right size for us and a nice unit with a nice view. Could use a few touch ups such as a new master bath shower curtain liner, cleaned shower head, a couple of wine glasses/bottle opener, but more importantly, doors for the bunk room and for the master bathroom (curtains aren’t private enough, let in noise, and leak cold air). Most of these were already addressed with the owners who were responsive. Nice place to stay for a long weekend.

Unit is dirty and outdated complex it overcrowded and dirty

Check in instruction were prompt and easy to follow. Owner communicated well. The unit itself was dusty, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, the blankets seem old and worn out, the floors were sandy the unit was musty. Dishes that were in the cabinet were old and stained. The complex itself was awful. The parking and parking garage are narrow and it took us 9-12 minutes get to our floor every time we left, we were only there 3 days and saw an accident in the garage (which we anticipated because of the design). The garage also always smelled of garbage. There are 6 elevators only 2 worked our entire trip. I walked 11 flights of steps because the wait was so long everyday. The only pluses where the view and the poolside bar area was lovely.

Great but too much noise and elevator wait time

The room was Fantastic we had and awesome view but I think we choose the wrong time to come.. This resort had a lot of teenagers and young adults doing a lot of childish things like hitting all the buttons on the elevators and laughing. On the 4th we heard a couple of gunshots go off. But overall the resort is beautiful the staff is very friendly and we do plan on visiting again.

Will not consider at spring break, unit was fine otherwise.

Nice. The Kitchen supplies were very limited, no ice maker and only one ice tray. Bed was comfortable. I will not be going back to this one during spring break but would consider any other time. We saw many things we would not have expected because of "spring breakers" but what upset me and disturbed me the most was that the complex had no fire extengishers on any floor that I visited at all. I made security staff/front office aware and saw no changes or corrections while we were there(we were on 11th floor). Police and security were excessively busy including the drug dogs and one morning we had to avoid a puddle of blood and blood smeared door at the end of our hallway going toward elevators. The spring breakers off the chain behavior and their air horn would have me go to a different area. We still had a good time but I did not appreciate the lack of safety for my family and the scenes that my children witnessed. Oh and the airhorn that the college kids set off every morning at approximately 7 am got very old also. Most of my issues had nothing to do with the specific unit, it was fine just could use a better supplied kitchen and a bunch of ice trays. However I would suggest thinking twice before going at Springbreak, I know we definitely will.

Perfect condo for our family!

Our family had an incredible week vacation stay in this condo. The owners answered right away when we had any questions and worked hard to meet all of our needs. Other members in my family rented from hotel itself and regretted not going through owner. Not having to check in when we got there and having a reserved parking spot extremely close to our room was perfect! This condo was very clean and had all the amenities we needed plus some! We would come back and stay here next time we are in PCB.

The unit was perfect and owner was wonderful to work with. As far as the property, I would never stay at The Shores of Panama again. Paying $30 per day to use the pool is a choke especially when they don't have enough chairs. Also, the elevators are very slow!!

Girls Trip

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. The owners were very easy to work with and very accommodating. Everything you need is in the condo and it was well maintained. It has a wonderful view from the balcony. The resort fee that was charged is not something the owners have control over. We simply ask to pay for the resort fee daily so that we would not have to pay if we were not going to use the pool area. Hopefully the owners will gain control back of the pool area. Hope to be able to use the condo again next year!!!

Enjoyable stay

By far the best thing about this condo is the view! It is lovely - overlooking the swimming pool as well as a very nice gulf view. Beautiful! Things we loved: - reserved parking on same level as condo - kitchen was well equipped (we made a trip to Winn Dixie and cooked breakfast and lunches in the condo to save money on eating out) (the kitchen was missing a cookie sheet and a skillet, but we made due) - beach umbrellas, chairs, and wave board in condo for use on beach (instead of having to rent chairs/umbrella on beach) - AC was super cool in the unit - great to come back to from a hot and humid day on the beach Things that were just "meh": - We were told there would be housekeeping, and there never was. Not a huge deal, as there is a washer and dryer in the unit, but we did run out of toilet paper - there is no door in the master suite to provide privacy in the bathroom (there is a curtain) ... this was kind of a pain as I was sharing the master suite with my mom - so if one of us woke up to use the restroom, there was a very good chance the light and the sounds from the restroom (toilet flushing) would wake the other person - There is a distinct lack of cell service (we are AT&T customers) in the condo - which we were told about ahead of time. The building is built to withstand hurricanes, which causes the dead zones. **there is a phone in the unit that you can use to make local and long distance calls, as well as wifi in the unit, so if you have an iPhone, you can use iMessage to text** - It sucks that you have to pay an amenity fee to use the pool or have direct beach access. This is not the owners policy, but that of the building management. However - you can access the beach without paying by using the walkway at Pineapple Willies - People get up very early to "reserve" seats at the pool. Most of the seats were taken with beach towels but 8 am. There was a sign that discouraged that, but it wasn't enforced. - If you are looking for a quiet getaway - this may not be the place. There are a ton of families with kids, as well as college age kids in the resort. This led to some shenanigans in the evenings, but the noise was blocked out very well inside the condo

Great Stay

My wife and I came out for a last minute getaway and were very happy with this condo and the owner. Everything was exactly as described and the owner was VERY good on communicating with me the whole time we were there. Please read and be aware of the daily resort fee if you plan to use the amenities. We were prepared for them but it seems other people were not. The resort itself was pretty busy and outside on the balconies was a bit loud with young adults at night but that could be because we went the week after a lot of schools and colleges got out. It did not disturb us at all and was not overt loud or obnoxious and we could not hear a peep of it inside the unit. Great stay and would not hesitate to come to this property again

Perfect family get-away

This unit has the most gorgeous view from the moment you walk through the door! The kids just wouldn't stop talking about how you could see the big blue ocean the moment you walk in and from every room in the house. The actual condo was decorated in beautiful colors and had lots of space for kids to play. Great king bed and a separate bunk room just for kids (awesome for parents to get a little breath of quiet). It was very nice that the washer and dryer were already in the unit, plus there was a full kitchen, very convenient and saved us a lot of money from having to go out for every meal. Lots of restaurants just within walking distance and the resort held lots of activities just for the kids!!! It was very nice of the owner to include some beach chairs and beach toys in one of the closets. Very helpful and courteous owner. We can't wait to take the kids again next year.

Location - Location The View when you first walk in is spectacular. Condo was very clean. Beachy colors. The bed was very comfortable, lots of dishes to use. Everything works. Nice to have washer and dryer in unit. We stayed for 2months and enjoyed every minute we were there. Lots of restaurants and Walmart across the street. Hammer Head Fred's had fish fry's on Friday. Hooters have good Hamburgers and Shrimp. Pier Park shopping is nice and Red Brick Pizza is VERY good. There was one BIG problem we had to leave and go home, darn. Thank-you for letting us rent for 2 months, very nice owner to work with.

Fall break getaway

The condo was well appointed, clean & tastefully decorated. It was also nice having parking on the same floor as the unit, to avoid the long elevator wait times & it made packing/unpacking bags much easier, however being on the 11th floor will take about 5 minutes to get into & out of the parking structure. The property has a great location beside (a short walk on the beach) Pineapple Willy's & across the street from Wal-Mart & Walgreens. We held off from giving the property a 5 star rating due to some aggravations with the resort itself, not the unit owner. Some of the elevators wouldn't stop on certain floors, we had to ride a floor above our floor & take the stairs down on occasion. Considering the long wait times on the elevators to begin with, that was quite frustrating. Also, to charge a guest or owner nearly $30/day for access to the pool or just to get to the beach is bad business. Particularly when there are long wait times to get a band to scan at a door that didn't work & we had to walk across the resort to a different door, just to get to the pool/beach. If we decide to stay at this property again, I hope to skip the band/pool access band & just be able to get to the beach without paying $28/day to get there. Excuse the rant, but the elevators need attention & the amenity/beach access charge needs to be voided. I don't think you can really claim beach access as an amenity if guests have to pay an extra fee or walk around the resort from the front to get to the sand.

Very pleased!

Our first time using VRBO, and a little nervous, but didn't need to be. The condo was spacious and nicely appointed. It was large enough for the 5 adults to maneuver around each other. The view of the gulf and the pool was very pleasing. The parking garage was a bit tight to move around, but the same floor parking is a bonus. Several places within walking distance, and the Walmart just across the road a bit. The pool gets a bit crowded so seating is a premium, but the beach is also right there as an option. The owner, when contacted, was very prompt in responding. Everything was as expected, and better, and I would recommend this place, and would stay again ourselves.
