Are you relocating to Cincinnati or considering a move to downtown/Over The Rhine ("OTR"), have business in town, visiting family, or just want to spend a vacation? This award-winning penthouse apartment in OTR provides a great introduction to Cincinnati living and all the best cultural venues, restaurants, bars, shops, and Findlay Market. The home has the most exceptional indoor/outdoor space of probably any residence in Cincinnati, and is fully furnished to a very high standard; garage parking is included.

This apartment has 2,900 ft2 with private entry and private elevator, an additional 1,200 ft2 of spectacular decks, spacious open-plan living/dining area with lots of light, high ceilings, and attached garage space. While listed as two bedrooms plus an office, the office has an ensuite bathroom (aerobed option with bedding included), and there is a sofa bed up in the 4th-floor living room. The indoor/outdoor space is one of a kind, and is fully furnished to a very high standard, along with garage parking. You literally only need to bring your clothes and toothbrush. (N.B., apartment may not be appropriate if you prefer sleeping in a dark space until later in the am :-)...shaded but not blacked out. )

It is only 1.5 blocks to Washington Park, beautiful Music Hall, new Shakespeare Theatre, marvelously renovated YMCA, and walking distance to all the best restaurants, bars, and independent shops of downtown Cincinnati/OTR (Over The Rhine) and Findlay Market. It is right on the streetcar line as well.

"The Stannary", as we call our place, is perfect for longer stays or corporate events.

Great space in a gentrified neighborhood

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, and love that Ted and Vicky decorated the space with artwork we also love. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures, and is very well stocked - from kitchen to laundry room to closets. Ted was very responsive, whenever we had any problems during our stay, he addressed it right away. One thing to note, the garage is spacious, but the alleyway to get to the garage is quite narrow. It could be difficult to navigate with a larger vehicle. However, there are street parking in front of the house and parking lots around if needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the future.

Great Cincinnati Stay

We enjoyed our stay. The property is located within walking distance from great restaurants and breweries. We highly recommend B and A Street Kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is on the north end of the downtown area and has a great "neighborhood" feel!

The property was lovely. The rooftop kitchen/dining room and two patios were amazing and perfect for hosting small get togethers with family with space distance if neccessary. Each bedroom having it's own bathroom and shower was also amazing and perfect for this space. My only constructive feedback is the furniture in the kitchen space is more fashionable than comfortable. Older family members may have a hard time due to the low sitting profile. Otherwise, everything was really great!

My family and I found this property to be an outstanding choice. Ownership has done a great job of appointing it with everything you will need for a comfortable stay.. This place is very nice and is exactly as advertised

Great property. Ted was available for all questions, although, we didn’t really need his assistance, as the place was great. The location in OTR is convenient to everything. Taft’s and Maize are a half a block away and are fist class.

My wife Vicky and I developed the building in Cincinnati, completing the project in 2017. We lived 16 years previously in London England, and this property was inspired by one of our places over there. Our children are grown and now living in Cleveland OH, Miami, and London, so we understand traveling and the importance of making the space you stay in feel inspirational and uplifting as well as meet your needs.

Why they chose this property

Architect Terry Boling helped us design and build this 3-unit building to reflect our previous life in London England. It was a 2-year project that started with the purchase of 2 vacant lots in the historic OTR District. We decided that we could better meet our needs with a new build than via renovation. That being said, our place fits within historic framework of OTR (and went through the historic conservation review process). The Stannary is the 2020 winner of the CRAN Award (Custom Residential Architects Network) for Best Multi-Unit housing.
