Our weekend stay at Isabella House was perfect! It was step back in time with modern amenities. The house is located within easy walking distance of downtown. Our host, Jackie was so hospitable and fantastic with communication. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Property was in the heart of the city in walking distance to most everything. Property was well maintained and had everything we needed on our stay. Also the biggest thing to me was the communication. The owner was very quick to respond to all messages and made us feel at home.Would recommend to anyone who visits this area.
This adorable cottage was perfect for our stay during the Pilgrimage tour. The beds were very comfortable (one is a Murphy bed) and we enjoyed the back porch.
We particularly enjoyed the big fenced in back yard and relaxing porch because we were traveling with our dog. He was endlessly occupied watching all the birds, squirrels and neighbor cat. That gave us lots of time to enjoy the beginnings of Spring. It is an easy walk to downtown and very close access to the River. The little market next door had lovely provisions. We are grateful for all that Jackie and Luc provided.
Jackie is great to work with! And if I could pick the house up and put it down out in the country side, it would basically be my dream cottage! The only hiccups involved the older but very cute cooking stove that has faded knobs that made it tricky to use at first, and one of the burners only seemed to run on hi? The street noise is a definite factor at night but I was forewarned. And they provide earplugs and sound machines. It’s nice that it’s so walkable from the cottage as well. And the claw foot tub is super dreamy!
Our first ever trip to the Bluff City was a wonderful experience, in large part due to our excellent accommodation in this lovely 19th century cottage. We spent a three-day weekend and everything exceeded our expectations! The rooms were luxuriously appointed and cozy. The noise from Canal Street was definitely noticeable but not intrusive, and the back porch and courtyard were comfortable and inviting (it helped that we lucked into ideal weather conditions - low 70s during the day and low 50s at night with low humidity).
We heartily recommend the Isabella House for anyone looking for a comfortable place with a touch of the Old South, but with modern conveniences and a great location.
We enjoyed a lovely long weekend in Natchez. The Isabella Cottage was the perfect location. We enjoyed walking around town and had everything we needed. Some other guests mentioned in past reviews that the road noise bothered them, but we had no trouble sleeping!
We really enjoyed our stay at Isabella House for the balloon races. Nice place with everything that we needed. Really comfortable. It was larger than I expected. Loved the nice back yard and porch. I would say to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There is some road noise because you are in the middle of all the action. But that is exactly what we were looking for. We parked the truck and walked everywhere all weekend. Everywhere we wanted to go was within a mile of the house. Really nice for busier weekends in Natchez when parking can be limited. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay here again.
We spent four nights here and enjoyed every minute. The house was immaculately clean, had everything we needed and was filled with thoughtful touches. The back porch was a great place to enjoy morning coffee or an evening beverage.
This home is exactly as in the listing. It is very convenient to all of the historical attractions. It is on a busy street, but the back porch is nice and peaceful.
My husband, mother, and our two dogs stayed for the 4th of July fireworks. This little cottage was perfect. It was a great location to walk to most places and it had everything we needed. A fenced back yard for the “kids” with a bbq pit was great. The cottage has so much charm. We loved it.
Everything was exactly as advertized. I can not say too much about how great our host was! They were extremely responsive and even came over to help us with the TV on the same day as they were heading out of town! We enjoyed how close the house is to everything and how cosy the house itself is. You really can't go wrong with this house!
Great deal for a first time trip to Natchez, my wife and I stayed to get away for a couple days to celebrate 14 years together! We will definitely be back!
This little house is perfect for those of us who love Southern History. Everything was set up for the guest and there is a house guide to help you with anything you need to know. I definitely recommend the stay. You are only a couple of blocks from downtown and all of the restaurants and shopping. Other reviews spoke of the traffic but after dark it does slow down so it is not as bad as it would seem. You do have to remember you are staying downtown.
I went with my 2 best friends, all moms, who took a long weekend for shopping, great food, and a getaway from every day life. This is such a cute and lovely home that was so clean and PERFECT for us. The backyard and back porch are amazing. We were so close to everything. This house was super convenient to come back to after shopping for a rest and then back out again. We will definitely come back!
