LIFE IS BEACHY at The BABY GRAND COTTAGE on NORTH BEACH.
The Baby Grand is a cozy, clean, and comfortable cottage located JUST 60 YARDS to the beautiful and pristine sands of North Beach on Lake Michigan. The wonderful location allows you to relax and enjoy Beachy days as you come and go to the cottage for a snack, drink, or even a nap.
COTTAGE INFO
The Baby Grand has a relaxed and open floor plan with multiple sleeping options to choose from. The bedroom has a Queen size bed, there is a full size sofa bed (with a gel mattress), and there is also a twin daybed with a twin trundle bed. The cottage has a clean and easy feel to it and contains the essentials for preparing meals, grilling on the gas grill, dining indoor or outdoor, and watching movies in the evening.
Backpack beach chairs, a beach cart, beach umbrellas, and games and toys are available for your use.
Wifi and streaming tv included.
RENTAL DURATION
During the prime summer season we prefer to book the cottage for weekly stays from Saturday to Saturday as It keeps the turnover costs down so we can maintain reasonable rates for our guests. We do sometimes offer shorter stays in June, August, and in the off season.
PARKING
The Baby Grand has a driveway that accomodates two vehicles. A beach parking permit sticker is required for all other neighborhood street parking. Parking permits can be purchased for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual increments from the City of South Haven City Hall and the Police Department.
NO HILLS, NO BLUFFS, NO STAIRS
Just exit the cottage and walk down the Walk D path to the beautiful beach!!!
NEARBY PLACES AND THINGS TO DO
Located in the historic Monroe Park, the cottage is steps from the Black River walkway, and a short walk to the Stanley Johnston Memorial Park. Paddle boards and kayaks can be rented on the beach (next to the snack shop).
Bunde’s Bakery Cafe and the North Side Memories Deli & Convenience store are also close by and convenient for coffee, sandwiches, ice cream, and snacks.
Not far from there is the newly renovated and expanded Michigan Maritime Museum . The Friends Good Will (replica 1800’s sailing ship) offers daily sails and sunset cruises – weather permitting. Captain Lou’s Bar and Grill has great food and offers an outdoor seating area for you to watch the boats coming and going on the Black River.
You can continue your walk to Downtown South Haven where you can sign up and/or leave for some chartered fishing and/or a boat tour. You’ll find plenty of shopping in the many unique stores and dining in a variety of restaurants and eateries.
Relax on The Idler Riverboat with a fabulous South Haven Iced Tea while you watch the boats come in and out of the harbor. You can enjoy a first run movie at the vintage Michigan Theatre, play video games at the Rocket Arcade, and enjoy wine and IPAs from the downtown breweries and wine tasting rooms.
The South Haven Farm market is an open market that offers fresh local produce, food and baked goods, and unique gifts every Wednesday and Saturday during the summer season.
If you decide to venture further there are sand dunes, wineries, horseback riding, the Kal Haven Trail, and Van Buren Trail State Park to mention just a few.
