Anna Maria Island is a family-oriented vacation destination with a laid-back feel. The island has a very relaxing atmosphere. The beautiful, world-famous white beaches and friendly character of the island will make you want to come back again and again.
BEDROOMS
5 Bedrooms/ 8 Beds & Upstairs retreat
Our home has 5+ bedrooms that are all comfortably apart from each other in the house, accommodating for the privacy of members of your group. AL. TV's in every bedroom Netflix, or HULU ready. The master suite has a medium firm memory foam king bed, and a master bath equipped with two shower heads, and penny tiled flooring. Also, the master bath is connected to the outdoor bamboo shower. Bedroom two is upstairs off the kitchen and has a queen bed that easily glides out from the wall. Partitioned from the rest of the room by collapsable doors is a sleeping nook with fun lighting includes a cozy double bed for the kids or your own cozy solace. This bedroom also comes with an ensuite two person deluxe shower with wall-mounted shower jets, bluetooth shower music system, and optional blue LED lighting. Bedrooms three & four both have queen beds. Bedroom five is the kids' sanctuary with a queen and double on the loft-like bunk bed.
KITCHEN
The new kitchen has an open-air feel and plenty of space for a large group. There are granite counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, and all the necessary utensils you may need. The kitchen eating area accommodates six, and the rest of the gang can hang around the granite island which seats 2-4, or the foyer cocktail table that seats 4 more. Do not forget the larger outside table.
LIVING ROOM
Watch television on the large 75 " flat screen smart TV. There is a large sectional likely to fit the whole crew. At the end of the room is a closet packed full with board games.
HEATED POOL/ SPA
Finally, relax in your private lagoon-like pool with a tanning ledge, swim up tiki table, infinity edge hot tub/spa, waterfall, deck jets, There is LED pool and spa lighting with variable color settings with the touch of a button. Landscape lighting provides a resort-like feel and is throughout the property. The pool is heated year round to 84 degrees or better at no additional charge. Forget your worries, "you're on island time" and yes, you'll "be back again."

OTHERS
It is just three blocks to white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Take a 5-6 minute walk or a 90 second golf cart ride. Golf Carts are easily rented and delivered by my friend at Beac’N Rides. Just goole search their company. Easy parking at the beach access. There are many beach toys and supplies available for you to you use. Including a cooler. The bikes are there but guests & groups are typically hard on them so they are not a guarantee. We only ask that you please treat all the gear well and wash off the salt water after use. Thanks in advance.
Nearby are the wonderful shops, and restaurants that Holmes Beach has to offer. PUBLIX shopping center is 1.2 miles away.

We update our house regularly to ensure it is in in prime condition so guests can have their best stay. The home went through $100,000+ repair/ renovation post hurricane Helene and looks and smells like new because much of it is. 😆

First of, hopefully, many AMI vacations

Absolutely the perfect house and location- right in between Bradenton and Anna Maria- a very quiet enclave. The house was fully equipped with everything you would find in your own house. Beds, bedding, and towels were all good quality. No need to even use your car unless you are going off the island. We rented a golf cart and brought our e-bikes. There are also four other bikes which family used when they came to visit. The house is less than three blocks to the beach and we definitely enjoyed it!Can't wait to return to AMI!

Wonderful Experience

Excellent overall experience. Very appreciative that the owners worked hard to get the property ready following the 2 gulf hurricanes. The updates to the property were great and worked perfectly for our family. Great location within a short walk to the beach. Very well stocked kitchen amenities. Solid communications throughout with the owners. Highly recommend.

Excellent house on AMI. Family friendly house of all ages, plenty of space for family of 7 . Playroom also has bunk beds so can be total of 5 bedroom. Separate room over garage was Excellent for daughter with 7 month old. Didnt hear up in middle of night

Quick trip

Great weather, nice property though we weren’t there most of the time, lived on the beach. The pool was great at night and the location is central to the island shops and restaurants.

Family Get-to-gether

Perfect property for the combination of family we had or a larger group. Owner was helpful and responded pretty fast to our questions . Only 2 of the 4 bikes were in working condition, the pool was cooler than expected but the hot tub made up for it. There was no water pressure in the sink in the master bathroom, but everyone liked the shower on the upper level. But location to the beach was good and overall location on the island. We enjoyed our stay!

We love Casa Laguna

This was the 4th time we've stayed at Casa Laguna and we will be back. We love everything about this rental! The house is perfect for a big family and has all the beach toys you'll ever want/need. The outdoor area with pool and hot tub is the perfect oasis and the location is fantastic. One word of caution, the golf cart doesn't have a slow moving vehicle sign on it, or license plate, so we didn't dare take it out much. Otherwise, this is by far our favorite rental on the island.

Great outdoor area

Great pool and hot tub. Loved the outdoor area. Fenced in for our dog. Trick to the hot tub is it can take 2 hours to heat if it’s cold out. There’s a Walmart just off island. Publix was expensive. Lots of restaurants close. Waterfront restaurant was good. We did a fishing charter with Anna Maria Fishing Charters. Great experience. Mote Aquarium in Sarasota was great. The beach is beautiful, very soft sand. Enjoyed our stay.

Love Anna Maria

Our family had a great Staycation away from St Pete. The home was very spacious, well stocked, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time. One warning though to potential renters, the golf cart is not exactly street legal (which we kind of knew). We took a risk but learned the hard way 🚔. So just be careful if you plan on using the golf cart. We would definitely rent this home again, and have already talked about including additional family. We just might rent a golf cart next time. Thank you to the owners, for allowing us an opportunity to rent your home. 5 stars from us.

Family vacation

Every thing was as stated in vrbo. Great pool area and outdoor space. House has plenty of room for a big family. Great location with a shuttle bus stop next to property. Golf cart was great.The family had plenty of room to sleep and enjoy our vacation. I would rent this place again in a heart beat. Thanks for a great family vacation to the oweners.

Great Family Vacation

We stayed with our children and grandkids loved our time on the island. The house is in a great location for just about everything. It was very well stocked with all the basics (cookware, spices, paper products, etc). The bedrooms are spread throughout the house which gave everyone privacy and the upscale bathrooms with great showers were nice. Our grandson thought it was so cool that he could play music through the upstairs shower wall! The PacMan video machine was also a big hit!! The pool was great and was serviced twice during the week. The yard was surrounded with lush greenery, which gave us a lot of privacy. Highly recommend!

Family Vaca Stay

House was in a nice central location with three block walk to the beach. Bedroom layout allowed for lots of privacy for each person/couple. Didn't have young children, but the house had plenty of equipment and items for younger children. The pool and hot tub and private outdoor space was the bomb!

Nothing like listing

Paddle board was broken, bikes were not road worthy and owner said "sorry people don't rent houses for the amenities," and refused to repair bikes or replace paddle board. Closet door came down when my niece opened it and hit her in the head. Smell of dead rodents in garage. Golf cart is old and battery doesn't hold charge long with tire that is flat and needs to be pumped up before each use. Day before we left the entire house had horrible sewer smell as all plumbing traps were somehow flushed out. We had to open all windows, run some water at every sink and tub and leave. Gave me a nauseating headache. At that point I was tired of the owners passive attitude and stopped wasting my vacation time messaging him. Feel strongly that we deserved some kind of refund as this house is not worth what we were charged! Kitchen table is worn out, drawers broken in kitchen, pool basketball hoop leaks and kept falling on our heads, lights flicker... the list goes on and on. Owner admitted he has not had anyone there take care of trees in year and a half. Only thing owner did for us was send pest control out. Good thing was pool, hot tub gets hot but no working jets when tub is turned on. Owner stated going through life event. if that is case this house should be taken off VRBO as it is not being maintained.

House needs some TLC.

We stayed at the house the week of March 4th to the 11th. We were disappointed in the condition the place has fallen to compared to the pictures. We contacted the owner on a few immediate issues and he informed us that due to some personal issues, he hasn’t been to the property in about a year. For the most part, everything was functional but just worn. We still had a nice time, but we just want others to be aware of several issues that we experienced while using the property. There were 5 bikes in the photos. When we arrived, there were only 4 and 2 of them were unusable. The owner said he was ordering tires and tubes, but they never arrived. The garage door glass was broken, a trim board was hanging down and the garage door opener was not working properly either. The leather couch, kitchen table and stools on glass top table were all heavily worn. The Keurig coffee maker was not functioning. We did use the other coffee maker without issue. The mattress in the green/grey bedroom needs to be replaced The cornhole boards were unusable. The side of the house where the pictures showed where you would play was all overgrown and the bags were dry rotted. The mirror frame in the upstairs bathroom was broken. The pool company never came the whole week we were there. We emptied the skimmer basket and skimmed the pool. There was a tile missing from the pool wall on the spa end. The outside shower in the back was also unusable due to how overgrown the area was. The landscaping guy did show up on Saturday as we were packing up to leave. Said he hadn’t been there since January due to a family issue. Perhaps the outside of the house is cleaned up by now. This is a long list of items, some are recent, some are long term. Most of the pictures appear to be from 2013 when I am assuming they started renting it. It’s a shame it has fallen to this level. The owner will probably write a rebuttal on my comments and say that the items have been addressed. Perhaps, but my point is it should never have been rented to us in this condition at this price. This home wasn’t cheap to rent, and I would have expected a higher level of quality at this price point. I am not nitpicking here. I own rental properties of my own and I know what it takes to keep a place to a high standard. I hope the owners address the items and return it to its once former status. Been to AMI a couple times now and will be looking for a different place to stay the next time we go.

House needs some inside and outside clean up. Outside bushes are all over grown and palm trees have dead branches on ground in backyard. Cracked glass in garage door with rubber molding hanging off from trim.Had many bicycles in garage only 2 available disappointed picture showed 5. All TVS were weird streaming only. The 3 bathrooms were updated was nice. Outside shower they mentioned was unacceptable needs work. Pool and hot tub was great. I think they could use curtains on front double doors. They had 5 bedrooms was great for our 7 friends. Overall had a wonderful time

MeMo Takes Ana Maria Island

The property was perfect for our family! The property was well-maintained and as described. The home had plenty to do without leaving the premises! Corn hole, tiki bar, swim up bar, hot tub and outdoor living area made this it’s very own resort. The shuttle runs in front of the home and will take you around the island with ease. Beautiful spot happy that we got to discover Ana Maria Island.

Paradise

The property was everything we could have asked for. The owner lives out of state (I’m guessing) so he has others take care of it. We only had a problem with the hot tub and the pool guy blamed us. If it was our fault we don’t know how so we ended up going 2 days with no pool or hot tub because the guy refused to come out. Not really the owner’s fault, he’s at the mercy of his maintenance folks. But I would stay again in a heartbeat, it was beautiful, comfortable, and pure paradise!!

Overall a good stay

Overall we enjoyed our week. Joseph was super responsive to any requests we had like lights being burnt out or the fridge water filter being changed. The house also had 3 pack and plays and plenty of towels. It also had a high chair, baby rocker, and various toys. The kids loved the arcade and we were happy with the collection of sand toys and so many infant floaties! The pool was amazing and we had so much fun out there. The grill was easy, the outdoor showers made trips back from the beach easy to clean up after. The kids were also obsessed with the cool built in bunk bed. The only downside was as mentioned in another review, the place is a bit worn and not the level we like for ourselves at home, but given the location, the stuff we had access to, and that it was clean, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. It was like staying at a friend’s place vs just an accommodation/hotel, which may not have all of these things you need when traveling with kids. I would recommend bringing a baby bath tub though since there is no tub anywhere! It would be nice if the doors to the room next to the kitchen closed better as they swing open when the ac turns on. Also, blackout blinds would be great as well, especially in the front bedroom which was super bright!

Sister trip

The location of the house was perfect. There were 4 of us and we each were able to have a private bedroom. There are only 3 bathrooms as there is an outside shower. There also isn’t a bathtub. We would definitely go back.

This was a very well equipped house. It had everything you need from kitchen stuff to beach supplies. The pool and spa was great. The island was not to big but big enough to find stuff to do.

Beautiful property

This was a very nice rental. We had four different couples, two of the couples with children, and the rental was set up perfect for the situation. We came in directly after a hurricane and the owners worked very well with us, making our stay the best they could under the situation. The only down fall at all would be the outdoor furniture needs to be replaced but other than that the property was very nice.

We moved to Anna Maria in 2011 because we fell in love with the beautiful island. My sister and her family of 6 moved here in 2008, and we vacationed here so often to visit with them that we just decided to make the move. Unfortunately for us we had to move back to Ohio for my wife to finish her degree and for my business (for now).

Why they chose this property

The pool/ hot tub is truly one of the best on the island! New synchronized LED color changing lights (3 in all). Color options of your choice. The electric golf cart is great, stops on a dime, and tops out at 19 MPH. The house is a fun & unique mix of new/ modern and origina/ rehabbed. There is a real island feel to the place, and it is very welcoming. We love our home and hope you will as well... the place is better in person. A free island trolley stop is very convenient to the home. If you seek it privacy is great at this this home.

Golf Cart is included, and is allowed on certain streets of the island, and provides easy access to the beach. Our home is only three short blocks to the beach, but you may never want to leave the private pool. There is a great design and flow to the home. Very nice linens (450+ thread count) are provided. Each week 14 clean white towels and washcloths are provided. 10+ Beach towels, 4+ beach chairs, and beach umbrellas are there for your group as well. All the amenities are there for you to feel right at home. The spacious patio has plenty of outdoor seating and includes a gas grill. Three sun loungers sit about the pool and a there is a hammock chair for fun.
