About this property

7 Bedroom/3 Bath Home. Completely refitted with new furnishings, mattresses in 2018.
Located 10 minutes from Newport and 5 minutes to beaches (by Car). Set on 2 acres this home has 5 bedrooms on the 1st two floors and 3 separate sleeping areas on the 3rd Floor (separated but lofty feel). 8 Person Hot tub on the backyard deck (located off the Kitchen). Large open TV/Dining room on the 1st Floor, and Pool Table, bar and TV on 2nd Floor.

The house has been tastefully and amply decorated to accomodate large groups in the open kitchen and dining room.
The location is 5 minutes from Newport Vineyards and Newport National Golf, about 7 minutes to beaches and 10-15 by car to Newport.

I am usually not interested in 2 night rentals during the high season (May-September) and holidays, but you are welcome to make an inquiry (sometimes I make exceptions based on scheduling and market conditions). It is at my discretion to determine number of days, so please check with me before you make solid plans with your group and put in a reservation. This is also a great corporate long-term stay house where I could give better pricing.

Large House with plenty of space

This house is perfect for large groups. Close drive to Newport which was great for us. Only concerns were 3 king beds on the 3rd floor with no proper air conditioning or fans. This made the third floor almost unusable in the summer. Also, the washing machine leaked a lot of water while we were there. Other than that, it’s a typically older home that can accommodate large groups.

Portsmouth wedding

The property was convenient for all wedding activities that took place in Portsmouth as well as the beach in Newport. Unfortunately the house is located on a very busy highway that created road noise at all hours of the day as well as a commercial business next door.

Great, as always!

We had a great time and there was plenty of room and so many beds to choose from! The living room is a great hangout spot, and loved that there were multiple outdoor decks to sit at!

Fantastic getaway for a large group

What a great place! Comfortable and large enough for a big group to spread out. We enjoyed a long weekend to celebrate a birthday and NYE. Hot tub was perfect too! We’d stay again!

Excellent house and experience

We came to town for an annual golf trip. The house was exactly what 14 of us guys were looking for. The hot tub and pool table were a hit and there were more than enough beds for everyone. Chris was very responsive and helpful.

Family Wedding Group from Georgia

We were a group thirteen adults here for a family wedding. There was plenty of beds for everyone. We enjoyed gathering in the den area and on the deck for games and conversation. The hot tub was a hit with several members. Overall, we had a great and memorable trip there.

Great family weekend

Rented for the full family to stay. Was hosting a bridal shower at the vineyard and family came from out of town. Hot tub and pool table were a hit and proximity to venue was awesome!

Two Nights in Portsmouth

Several of my high school friends and I celebrated our 46th reunion at Chris's house. The house is huge and extremely comfortable. It's a great place for a group to stay. The house has a large yard and parking area and three decks for lounging. We didn't try the hot tub but it was available for us. It's fifteen minutes to downtown Newport. It is on a main road, so the rooms in the front can be a little loud if you leave the windows open. The only issue we had was that there was a pesky mouse in the kitchen. This is an old farmhouse, so that's not totally unexpected. The house was spotless otherwise. We'd stay there again.

Perfect for our group

We were a multigenerational group of 14 plus a toddler coming into Newport from different states for the half marathon. Some were running, others were cheering. This house worked out perfect for us. It is not easy to find a reasonable priced house big enough to fit our group and this house was great. The bedrooms were big with King size beds. There was a bathroom on each floor. The main level had an open area kitchen, dining room and living room which gave us plenty of room to enjoy each other's company. We had intended to eat lunch and breakfast in the house and go out to dinner but the open space was so nice, we just stayed in for dinners also. The yard and decks are beautiful and the pool table and the hot tub were great extras. Any questions I had from Chris were answered very quickly. It was a great way to spend time with family and friends!

Four generation vaca

Perfect location near my brother. House was very big and the first floor was open that made getting together with all the family very easy. Kids loved the big driveway outback where they could ride their easy rollers. Plenty of space for all of us from great granny down to two 1-year-olds. Had a wonderful time!

Really a wonderful stay.

We rented the home for a few days for my sister’s bachelorette party. The location was perfect for what we needed - 10 minutes from second beach, and a 15 minute uber to downtown Newport. It was exactly what we wanted without being right in downtown. Reasonably priced for the busy season. The pictures honestly do not do it justice, it’s a beyond cool and beautiful home. There was more than enough space for all of us and had everything we needed. Owners were very responsive and easy to work with, had pretty much one rule that was more than reasonable and only asked for respect of their property. Beyond amazing experience and highly recommend the home and the owners to any prospective renters!

Beautiful space for a large group

Our wedding party stayed in June 2019. The property is well maintained and clean. The check-in process was very easy! There was plenty of space for our party to enjoy themselves. It was close to our venue and not far from downtown Newport or any attractions in Middletown/Portsmouth. The only issue we ran into was the lack of pillows in the house. Each king bed had two flat pillows, while the queen and twin each had one. Unfortunately, there were no other pillows in the house. We had a great time in the space otherwise!
