Peaceful Mountain Getaway close to Red Rocks and Denver
This fully updated 1928 cabin is full of charm and modern amenities. Our peaceful 1.57 acre lot is situated at the end of a flat dirt road that any car will be able to drive on. It can easily accommodate 4 adults. The master bedroom features a queen size bed and bathroom ensuite with shower, double sinks and toilet. The secondary bedroom also features a queen size bed and 1/2 bath ensuite. The kitchen is well equipped with gas oven & stove top, microwave oven, crock pot slow cooker, Air Fryer, pots, pans and dishes. Relax in the back living room, enjoying the mountain view and the watching the birds and squirrels play in the trees. We are also visited by our local deer family on a regular basis. We will even occasionally see the elk migrating through our back yard. In the warmer months we will have hammocks hanging in the trees which is so tranquil. We have even spent several nights sleeping out under the stars. We are avid disc golfers and have our own private 18 hole disc golf course. We will leave you extra discs to play with if you don't have your own. Our cabin home is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. We are located 10 miles from Red Rocks Amphitheater, about a 20 minute drive. It is about 45 minutes to downtown Denver, and about 1 hour from the Denver Airport. Sorry, no pets of any kind allowed. Also, although we have done our best to make our home safe for you, our home is not child proofed.

The home was beautiful, clean, and perfect. Just far enough off the beaten path but close enough for anything you would need or want. Nicole was extremely nice and helpful. The view was amazing. We will definately rebook this property anytime we visit Denver. Perfect!!!
This property is special. Relaxing- welcoming decor, comfy, a real gem. The house was very clean and the beds felt great. The outdoor decks were great for relaxing, listening and watching birds and sighting a few deer and rabbits.
We rented this property for 3 evenings and wish we could stay longer. Close to Evergreen, close to Red Rocks and close to great hikes.
Would definitely recommend this property.
This home is immaculate and has every amenity you could hope for. We cooked every day and the kitchen had everything we needed. Nicole was so helpful with check in and answered all our questions prior to arriving. We will definitely stay here again!
It was very inviting and homey feeling. We enjoyed the fire pit area out back and saw a deer hanging out under the deck in the first 10 minutes of being there. Comfy beds and beautiful decor. Truly enjoyed every minute.
We absolutely loved this property! Very clean with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The deck and fire pit provided the perfect outside retreat. Lots of wildlife to watch and enjoy.
The property was amazing and Nicole & Dan were very accommodating. Awesome hosts. We had a very nice time. It snowed which made it all the more cozy and inviting. We'll definitely be back! Thanks so much for adding to our Colorado vacation. Take care,

Peaceful Mountain Oasis
This place is magical! Our family stayed over thanksgiving and enjoyed every minute of it! Great open floor plan, beautiful kitchen, comfy beds, great deck and fireplace! Lots of deer too. The back room leading to the master was my favorite. Lots of light and big windows looking into the trees. We arrived to a light dusting of snow and the next morning the pines were covered in glistening snow. Just beautiful!
Close to everything. Made a day trip to Breck, rode the steam train in Georgetown, hiked right out the front door, and visited friends in Denver. Perfect central location!
Thank you so much for your hospitality and all your help anytime we had a question.

Beautiful Home in a Relaxing Mountain Neighborhood
We stayed at this beautiful home with another couple and their adult child, and it was a wonderful experience. The house is set in a quiet, mountain foothill setting with lots of curious wildlife (deer in particular). The house itself is extremely well set up for two couples (two large bedrooms with very comfortable beds and adjoining bathrooms), and is in immaculate condition. There two communal areas for people to congregate, and the kitchen is well appointed for handling any type of cooking you might desire. The only downside to our visit was that we weren't able to stay longer. We'll definitely be back again.

Comfortably perfect spot to get away from the busy life!!
We picked this spot specifically bc it wasn’t in a neighborhood right next to everyone or everything!! We loved EVERYTHING about this place! The back yard was perfect with wild life, games and hammocks! That’s where we spent most of our time! Nicole was the sweetest for sharing their beautiful home and very quick to respond to! We would love to come back!!

Rocky Mountain Getaway Near Red Rocks Amphitheater
We were looking for an alternative to a hotel for our recent 3-night stay near Red Rocks where we attended a concert. This property fit the bill perfectly! The house was absolutely spotless with luxurious bedding and towels, thoughtful amenities including water, cold beverages and ice and coffee and tea, cleaning supplies, basic toiletries, information on local attractions and eateries, comfortable seating areas both indoors and outdoors, quality kitchen utensils, dishes and pots and pans, and a glorious setting with a wall of windows overlooking the mountain valley outside their home. Mule deer roamed around freely and we even saw elk nearby. Nicole was extremely friendly, accommodating and gracious in her hospitality. She communicated promptly and even gave us a little extra time at the property. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated with an updated kitchen and master bathroom. Definitely one of the best properties we have ever rented in our many, many years using VRBO. We would absolutely come back here and highly recommend to anyone looking for a couples or adult getaway!

About the host
Hosted by Nicole Hanson & Dan (Woody) Henderson
Dan (Woody) Henderson and I, Nicole Hanson are avid mountain bikers, hikers, disc golfers and outdoor adventurers. We purchased this property in 2016 and fell in love with the history of Indian Hills, and especially the history of our wonderful cabin home. Dan is an artist, poet and photographer. You will notice his photos throughout our home. The property was originally part of the Monte Del Ouray artist colony from 1926-29. For 6 weeks each summer well known artist of the time would meet and find inspiration in the summer cabins. After that, 2 families owned the majority of the land around this cabin and the cabin to the south of us. They called it BoZo farms, utilizing the first 2 letters in each of their last names. We decided to carry on the tradition, and that is why we call it the He Ha Homestead. This is our personal residence and we rent it out when we go on vacation for others to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
If you want the conveniences of city life but be away from it all, this cabin home if just what you are looking for. We live at the end of a short road, with only a few quiet neighbors. Once you spend time here, you will not want to leave. Everyone who visits says how comfortable our home is and they love to hang out here. Come see for yourself why everyone wants to gather at our home.
What makes this property unique
He Ha Pines Disc Golf Course. Enjoy the use of our private 18 hole disc golf course. Look for our course on the UDisc app.
