Excellent family cabin

We loved our stay at the Chrisler cabin! The kids had a blast with the secret room and toys. We made a blackberry pie with the berries we picked at the bottom of the hill and had a family movie night on the projector screen. Great property to wander and explore and gorgeous sights nearby. All was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for our group of 8.

Lovely property

The property was really nice and peaceful. We were interested in privacy and that’s exactly what we got on this 5 acre property. The cabin was spacious and cozy with a lot of space for a big family. The host was extremely courteous and friendly, had to reach out to her a couple of times and she was super responsive. Thank you for sharing your cabin with my family. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Seattle.

Clean, comfortable home

We loved our stay at the Crisler cabin. I appreciate how thoughtful the hosts are. The home was well equipped plus many extras. The home was warm, had comfortable beds and was nice and clean. The kids loved it too. Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, popcorn, spices, shampoos, games, movies, etc., were all provided. 2 thumbs up and intend on staying again.

Forest Haven

We absolutely loved our stay at the Skycomish house. It is even better that the photos. It feels very secluded and is surrounded by forest. It has a cozy living room and a kitchen with everything you could need. The beds are comfortable and each room has a view of the forest. We used the wood stove to build a cozy fire ( on a rainy Northwest June day) and we relaxed in the hot tub looking out at the view. We'd love to go back.

Lovely secluded cabin

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend in this clean, pretty, comfy cabin! Super fun that it was very secluded and private. Lots of comfy beds to sleep on. Fully loaded kitchen. Everything worked great including the huge hot tub! The view of the mountain was super beautiful which we enjoyed from both decks! Only issue was mosquitos were really biting! Luckily we brought citronella candles and lots of bug spray. The host was very nice and responsive via the app. Highly recommend.

Mountain paradise

This cabin and property are absolutely beautiful and secluded. It is obviously cared for by the owners and they did a great job! I would recommend this cabin to anyone, very kid friendly also even though i didn't bring any. My dogs loved it , plenty of land to explore. Close to many outdoor activities also. I can't say enough about the owners kindness, they go out of their way to make sure you're happy. The only thing i could complain about is i had to leave! I would go back for sure!! Don't hesitate if your looking for a great get away.. You found it here 😉

Cabin in the Woods

My husband and I were visiting Washington for the first time and wanted to spend a few days in the mountains. The cabin is remote by a Southerner's standards. But the directions were excellent and we found it without a problem, even though we arrived after dark. The cabin was all we needed and more. We enjoyed the hot tub, the moon shining through the windows, and nights by the fireplace. The guide books were very helpful in choosing our hikes. The only hitch I encountered was I had work to complete on my computer and a ZOOM call, and the internet was spotty at times. But after all, I was in the mountains. Should we be in the area again, we would definitely return.

Spectacular!

Not only is the cabin beautiful and beyond homey and comfortable it is located near so many amazing things to enjoy and do. To say the owners are amazing also would be an understatement. Their knowledge of the area, the help throughout the way and their quick and fully explained responses to my messages was beyond what I expected. The only thing that we have to say is make sure you check road closures anywhere you stay if there is only one way in and out and also make sure to check fire dangers before shopping for stuff to make over a campfire. We made that mistake. We got stuck from doing what we planned one entire day as the only road in and out was closed all day. Not any part of the owner's fault, just an FYI for everyone to check those things. Again, I cannot express how wonderful this rental was. I would suggest to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable and wanting to explore the beauty in Washington mountains.

Perfect cabin getaway

We could not have been more happy with our stay at the Crisler Cabin! We had Thanksgiving dinner there and our host made sure to have the place so well stocked we only needed to bring the food. So many personal touches from the chocolates and hand written card to the touches of holiday decor and seasonal room deodorizers. Everything was perfect, the host even brought some special dishes and table decor for us to use. Lots of cozy inside and tons to explore outside. We loved every minute of it.

About the host

Hosted by Dawn Browne-Crisler

Host profile image
Hi! We are the Crisler Family and owners of Crisler Cabin in Skykomish, WA. We currently live in Everett, WA and spend lots of time outdoors in Puget Sound and the Cascades. Matt is originally from St. Charles, MO and Dawn is from Maryland, Virginia and Florida and lots of places in between. We have two teenagers who to explore the outdoor playground at the doorsteps of the cabin.

Why they chose this property

Dawn purchased the land in 1996 after falling in love with the area on a camping trip while visiting Washington State. After years of planning we finally built in 2009 and have many happy times in this magical area with friends and family.

What makes this property unique

You will love the peace and tranquility of the cabin setting. The decks have panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and wooded acres. The stars are especially bright in this area with no light pollution. Short or long walks abound right from the doorsteps of the cabin to nearby Money Creek, Miller River, and the Skykomish River. A short drive will take you to dozens of trailheads and gateways to the Alpine Lake Wilderness and Wild Sky Wilderness Areas. Stevens Pass Ski area is just 15 minutes up the road and many snowshoeing trails nearby.
