About the host
Hosted by Melissa Smith

Our family of four lives in Grand Rapids and we escape to Leelanau County every chance we get! We love walking the beaches with our Golden Retriever, hiking and geocaching throughout the county, waterskiing and tubing on pristine Lake Leelanau, and exploring new restaurants and wineries!
Why they chose this property
The Schoolhouse Cottage is a charming historic house which we really loved renovating. Suttons Bay feels like a resort. Reading and sun-bathing on the beach, sailing and kayaking in the bay, playing tennis, trying new restaurants, exploring cute shops, relaxing in cafes, everything you want to do is right there within a 5 minute walk.
What makes this property unique
The Schoolhouse Cottage has a generous open living and dining room which we love for entertaining friends. The street is quiet, yet very close to town. The outdoor patio is a favorite spot for early morning coffee as well as for long family dinners sharing summer memories!
